- After thier recent desperate troubles , 2023 has proved to be an amazing year for the Llangollen (and Corwen ) Railway!!
Firstly they reached and opened the line the new station at Corwen, then today the Llangollen Railway Trust's , Pannier tank loco, 7754, made her first ( loaded test run ) from Llangollen to Corwen and back after overhaul and fantastic repaint.

Two nice locos. Nice filming.
Thanks David. Definitely 👍
' How green is their valley.' Made my Monday morning. Beats me why people jet abroad. We need to look at what we've got here and relate to what nature has provided plus the stirling efforts of the staff and volunteers of this amazing GW branch. Like to think of another word for magic, but can't.
I completely agree, why waste time at the airport, when we have this on our doorstep. Great job my all the volunteers too. Magic is about right., 👍😀
Great to watch Phil and very well filmed.
Thanks Philip
Looks like tou hada a great time Phil 7754 lookin splendid, and not raining, cheers Steve . Ps maize harvest video on my othe channel 👍
It was a great day,and weather too. Already, how the time soon comes round 😮. I'll have a look 🙂
Its a lovely railway and both the pannier and austerity look great.😊
They do, and as you say a lovely railway 👍
Nice to see 7754 back in steam after being out of action for 6 years
Definitely is Scott
@@philclarke3203yeah Phil
20:45Smokebox door shows evidence of some enthusiastic driving
I heard it was air getting in through a poor seal on the smokebox doorand causing over heating in that area
They have a remarkable amount of clout for their size. 7714 can manage seven unassisted on the SVR.
Yes, not short of power.
Great coverage Phil 👍
7754 looks stunning
Thought you were going to hit the woman on the head at one point departing Llangollen (No way she was moving out the way) !!!
Thanks Arthur. Haha, no she wasn't glued to her spot 😀👍
Glad you could share this moment of glory for 7754 with me. Obviously, you and Harry enjoyed the ride behind her and the J94 as much as I did. I couldn't do as much filming, because my camera battery was low. Bet you were happy to catch me on your video camera.
Glad you enjoyed it Kelly. It was certainly great to see 7754 out again ( and to see you again lol). Harry noticed, you on the bus on your way home. He apologises for not waving in time.
@@philclarke3203 That's OK, Harry. There's always another time.
Great ride along Phil, thanks. I do believe that the 57xx class had more in number than all other modern classes together.
863 versus 842 Black 5s, so the largest big four class (although there were more 08 shumters)
@@AndreiTupolev Ok. Thanks for the numbers. I remember reading it in a list of facts somewhere, no idea where though. 🤣👍👍
Thanks Robert. Not sure about that, but I'll take your word for it 👍
@@AndreiTupolevwow! Thanks Andrei
Look it’s got British railways logo on the side of the loco
