Tim, thank you another of your beautiful journeys. Today you showed me aspects and views of that line, I have never seen before, such as @05:26 'Llangollen Goods Junction signal box' & @20:55, around Deeside Halt. Also, the position & quality of your external camera illustrated the temerity of the original builders in planning and threading that line through such lush, but demanding countryside. Well done is also due to those whose more recent volunteers and preservationists, whose labours have maintained the line & infrastructure.

They are lovely memories to have, I lived most of my life near various railway lines along England's South Coast, I use to drop off to sleep to the sound of trains being remarshalled at Chichester goods yard, most of the yard has been lifted now, the sound of fly shunted waggons banging into the rest of the train and loose couple freight trains starting are just childhood memories. At one time there was talk of further extensions towards the mainline network at Ruabon, but I think any such plans have been shelved, as for Bala, whilst it's something many would love to see, I don't think it's a practical proposition at the moment, the railway's main objective is to consolidate on its current achievements and make sure it secures it's future for the next generation to enjoy.

Advertisements intruded into this video at 28:00 because RUclips are telling us all to *disable our Ad-Block Functions* or they will *block our players from accessing these videos.* They're trying to force us to buy RUclips Premium..... *Coercion at its WORST!*
@neilforbes416 Usage of adblocker on youtube is not allowed as adblockers prevent vital revenue getting to google, which is a security risk and violates the EULA, you risk your google account being suspended if you use adblockers, this is why adblockers are not allowed on the chrome web store.
@@Mediawatcher2023 This still violates my right of choice. Anyway, Google is just part of a package provided by AVG Secure Browser which I use.
Just be patient Neil watch them as there might be something you would like to buy.🍺☕🍩
@@robertcoleman4861 i really cant be bothered with ads i just watch it if its on televsion
@@robertcoleman4861 Not bloody likely! My first instinct is to *BOYCOTT* companies and products advertised on RUclips.
Another *RUDE* interruption by an ad at 45 minutes because RUclips is *GREEDY!* Google should be *FORCED TO RELINQUISH RUclips* so that RUclips can get back to being a platform for *US,* the people who *CREATE THE CONTENT,* without which, there would not be a RUclips!
@neiforbes416 i remember RUclips had its own chat room
@@Mediawatcher2023 What happened to it?
@@neilforbes416 it was terminated when google took over
@@Mediawatcher2023 Bugger! Clearly Google was frightened of the opinions of RUclips contributors!
if you have joined before June 2006 you've been alright it was ad free
Nice no doubt
Pullman coaches were far superior, complete with a meal and toilets. if you do that trip nowadays its beyond most peoples price range. when i was a kid, everybody, could afford the trip, at least twice a year
I lived on the South Coast, train rides were "Going up North", although most journeys were done by car or coach, Birkenhead was the usual destination, Great Western locomotives in mostly LMS territory. I remember the old Wirral underground trains and seeing one of the last 9F's a Chester station, I'm glad I got to see the last of steam on BR.

Well spotted, I'm watching one digging a hole in my lawn as I type this, they make me smile, they are always busy doing something.
These Welsh place names would have your tongue so tightly tied up in knots, it'd take a month to untie it! LOL😁
@neilforbes416 you end up with a numb tongue lol
@neilforbes416 try announce this place name Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapiki-maungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitnatahu 😁
@@Mediawatcher2023 Not "announce" but "pronounce". and no, I'm not about to tie my tongue in knots!
@@neilforbes416 please forgive me i make a mistake i promise you it wont happen again
@@neilforbes416 You are comparing british rail gauges to Australian ones.
I want to go to Wales but I would never be able to pronounce the place names.
You wouldn't be the only person who has trouble pronouncing Welsh place names, but don't let that stop you visiting, it's a beautiful country.
God bless Wales and Welsh!!! Such a beautifull Wales!!!
I'll second that 😊.
Or, make the people pay, to send the ad ‘s away !! .
You Tube offers an ad free version at a reasonable cost, after all You Tube and its creators need an income to produce and host these videos.
Странно, что в тоннеле двигается без фар!
Очень немногие британские паровозы или тепловозы первого поколения были оснащены фарами.

Loco seems to struggle at first. mjnd you for a saddle tadle tank largely used dfor dhunting in goods yards I'm not sueprised: it has done well to do it at all!!
The saddle tank locomotives were never intended for the main line, but this one is doing a good impersonation of mainline locomotive 😊.
that is one loud soundtrack
I hope you enjoyed the sound of a steam locomotive working hard 😊.

A wonderful journey thanks Tim, The gauge is definitely standard gauge i was going to ask Neil for a opinion but that would have put the cat amongst the pigeons 🤣have a great holiday in NZ cheers Bob. ps have you crossed the ditch yet?.
Hello Bob, "yes" this one is standard gauge, I haven't seen Neil's reply yet. I have just completed my last full day in New Zealand, tomorrow I start the long journey home. Cheers. Tim.
@@Timsvideochannel1 Sorry to hear you going home have a safe journey and your always welcome to visit us at any time "CHEERS MATE".🛫✈🍺🍺🍺🤠
@@robertcoleman4861 Cheers, its been a good holiday, I'm just about to close down my laptop for the last time in New Zealand.
OH Tim, You got this one JUST right. 👍👍👍👍 Lots of chugging from the engine and some great views from the back as well as the front. You must have got a camera man to ride the back. Well maybe you got a second camera. Anyway I think it's one of your best videos. Now lets try the same set up for the sound of the engine on a narrow gauge road.👍👍👍👍🍺🍻
Thank you, I'm pleased you enjoyed this video. I used two cameras to give views from both a forward and passengers view point. I recently filmed a number of Welsh narrow gauge railways using a similar camera setup, hopefully I will find time to edit and upload some of them over the coming months 😊.
