Does anyone else think that the train looks somewhat resemblant of the Thomas the Tank Engine trains, even though the books wouldn't come until almost 2 decades later?
Why did Alice and Julius run to wake the train when the first see the sign saying "huge payroll"? Are they planning to steal the payroll, or do they think the people carrying are stealing and thus plan to take from them and return it to its rightful place, or do they just want to protect it because they think it's in danger of being stolen, or is it something else altogether?
Hi there, just curious, did this transfer come from your own print collection or a video/dvd out there? I've seen this on a few public domain videos from the 80s but did not know the music starts during the countdown until I acquired a 16mm print.
4:19 looks like a level of one of these motorbike Flash games.
I havn't seen this cartoon in years. Thanks.

4:58 holy crap! You would never be able to get away with that nowadays!
Halfway through the 1925 shorts. I think she debuted in Alice Solves the Puzzle.
I noticed that too.
It's always a good idea not to write "Big Pay Roll" on your chest of money.
first aired August 15th 1925.

I believe in this short she's an engine driver.
wow, the predecessor of Thomas the Tank Engine, lol. Why are trains always so hard to start up in these old cartoons. I love these anyway

@ 3: 57 did julius just flip off the fire?
Wow, what did you do to turn this into such poor resolution? All,the other Alice cartoons are a lot better.
Noticeable lack of ponies. Very dissapointed
And you'd think going by the title they'd be robot ponies at the very least. F minus minus
@@Crayshendo you know the name of the song that starts at 4:32?
Pft, Julius? He's a completely original character.
....Yes, he's a ripoff. But at least he's a total ripoff and not some lame clone
All 20's era cartoon characters are derivative of Felix the Cat, he's their Gilgamesh.
