Rolex only recently gained the capability of producing a fluted platinum bezel, but I prefer the smooth bezel on the previous iteration as it distinguishes it immediately as being platinum (well that and the ice blue dial).

Surprised Producer Michael doesn't have the discontinued blue lacquer dial white gold submariner. Its less flashier than his yellow gold sub but cleaner and more beautiful imho

There is now a platinum president with a fluted bezel. Previously machining technology could not produce this due to hardness of platinum hence why platinum day dates always had smooth bezels ….until now.
Platinum is twice the density of gold. It will always weigh twice as much. Also reflects the price being twice as much. Sky dweller: Month indicator - auto does months with 30 or 31 days. Must manually adjust for February Date - crown adjust both ways Wind mode - automatic or wind Hands - crown adjusted 24 hr marker - hence the name skydweller, keeps two time zones Side note: if you remember differences in time zones of multiple places can be used like a GMT Band- cool half link adjust, hence the skydweller, for when your in the air and your wrist puff up. Bezel - only rolex where bezel used in the mechanical function/adjustment of the watch. So complicated you can't even fake the movement.

The yellow MOP dial in person is insane, have to show it with the lights off and flash some on it, the veins glow like crazy. Had a 2 tone version for a wile and miss it a lot
With the sky dweller , if the set time is not accurate ( time of day 1pm/1am ) the date wheel will click when moved. If set to the correct time the wheel will turn smoothly.

I have an explorer I. Never have to worry about setting date, day, second time zone month, etc. Best decision ever made. Setting a watch every time you wear is a pain in the butt.

Don't think the submariner is a 2021 model - it's older than that. The text on the dial is gold rather than white and it has the older 40mm case.

I remember these coloured Daytonas. They had the yellow, green, light blue & pink with matching leather straps. May have had a dark blue as well..
