I recently switched to NITTO 555 because PS4s are hard to get. So I wanted everyone to know my take on the differences so you can make an educated decision.

I agree with you - the Michelin PS4S (and PSS and PSC2) is a way better tire than the Nitto NT555G2. I had Nittos on the rear axle of my GT350. They performed respectably in the dry (even on road courses) but they were way worse in the wet, which made the car unpredictable. I'm happier now with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s all around until I get track wheels, then I'll go to Michelin PS4S in the front and Michelin PSS in the rear.

I definitely agree with you… I did let out some psi, so now they handle a little bit better in the rain but no comparison to the Michelin. But for the price they aren’t to bad

Should run the Nittos 5555 G2 front and the Nittos 5555R2s or R11s in the back ..the r2s are insane .

I have NT555R2’s on my GT350. I prefer them over all other tires. I got 9,000 miles of burnouts and launches out of mine. I’ve never driven my car and won’t be driving it in the rain so it’s not a factor for me. Straight line grip blows the Michelin’s away. Your sacrifice in ride is likely due to stepping up to 20 inch wheels.
I have the same situation with the exhaust…longtube headers and full exhaust so if tire noise was a factor I wouldn’t know lol.

Falken 20" 265/35ZR 20" Y A/S to me very very close to Michelin Pilots. Had Azenis 510s, now FT 460 Falkens.
