Wow. I'm almost speechless, yet there is so much to say. What a handsome piece that would probably look great with just about any decor style - traditional, contemporary, antique, boho... You won me over by using scraps and not wasting materials, like the chair cushion as an applicator sponge. Brilliant! I love your editing style with some parts sped up, nature sounds, and such clear photography. Seriously outstanding. 👌
I'm currently living in provincial East Germany and surrounded by beautiful, old furniture that simply needs restoring, and you have just inspired me to do something about it! I'm going to dig out my old Nirvana t-shirt and start with a dull, broken pine book shelf that my wife wants bringing up from the cellar, which I've been avoiding. Thanks for the inspiration, and thanks for including the materials used list.
I would thank all that youtube algorithms for bringing your channel on my feed. I might never make any of these by myself, but am addicted to your videos now. Very calming and educative. Keep it up !
Wow! This is already becoming one of my favorite furniture flip channels. Your eye for design and ability to fix basically anything is amazing. And your filming and editing are incredible. You’re going to blow up. 🙌🏻
I am so glad to see all of the videos you post again! It is such a pleasure to watch your calm, patient, woodworking transform a an old and worn piece of furniture into a work of art. It's sort of like watching a caterpillar become a butterfly.
My dad use to work as a steel worker at a car shop. He learned me that nice little trick. Close your eyes and feel if it's smooth. Nice work, as always
best furniture flipper I've seen. You go the extra mile and that would be what I, as a customer, would be looking for. The other channels get great outcomes but I question the durability and lack of coverage/carelessness on the inside.
Stunning. It is like a magical transformation. This furniture has been reinvigorated to its full glory and ready to be utilized by those who needed it for such a very long time. His skillfulness and mastery in furniture craft is just awe-inspiring. Keep up the good work.
Simplicity is key, let the material and the colors do the work… Alright, now the actual manifestation of these true words… how to proceed?! And you just know by heart what to do! The beauty was already there, the dresser just needed your skilled hands to shine again! Absolutely amazing stuff my friend.
Gorgeous! Thank you for preserving these pieces to be enjoyed for many more years and not letting them go to the dump and be wasted. It’s a pleasure watching you work!
Truly incredible, how you rescue furniture which might otherwise end up as firewood or going to landfill and give it new life and purpose! And your preparation detail is admirable. No-one would be short changed if they were to acquire a piece you'd worked on. I'm full of admiration for what you create.
I just cannot fathom for the life of me why anyone would give your videos a "thumbs down"...I think they must just be super envious. Thanks again for this brilliant video. X
Once again you've made another lil beauty with the Elm. Its Awesomely Funky. I've watched all your vids twice now and because of that, they've inspired me to sign up on the waiting list for a Carpentry course at our local Tech. I wish I'd carried woodwork thru from high sch and done it yrs ago but oh well better late than never. I really like your approach in respect of Papa and Tangaroa, the tiny ways you recycle bits of wood, feet, sponges etc so there's no waste of resources, nothing is rubbished unnecessarily and, your use of natural ingredients like Vinegar where you can, in preference to chemicals when poss. It is good. The more I watch what you are capable of achieving, the more I'm inspired. Thank you! ❤️
this was a beautiful design, and you highlighted it's graphic purity well with the color variations. now I want to build drawers like these from waxed MDF and gold leafed center bars.
I truly enjoy your videos! Sparse commentary, just quiet magic and mastery. You are a very talented woodworker. Amazing how you bring these pieces to life. Thank you!
Unbelievable transformation!!! You have serious talent not only for refurbishing, but design as well!!! Do you have a favorite brand of paint brushes you prefer to use?
Thank you! For bigger brushes (for larger surfaces), Bennett is a good brand. For smaller brushes (for detail painting), I like Winsor & Newton; these are more expensive, but they’re very soft and last a long time - that is if you clean them thoroughly after use and take good care of them :)
@@ModernMakeovers can you please say how you clean them? Paint, and stain brushes? Do you just use soap and water? Or a chemical? Thank you! LOVE your videos!
@@janie3117 How a brush is cleaned depends on whether the substance used is water based or oil based. For latex paint (as used in this video), since it is water based, I use warm water and dish soap until no more paint runs out. Same goes for any water based stains. When I’m washing out an oil based poly/stain, I soak them in mineral spirits or paint thinner. 😁
Beautiful work! I would love to see a video of your workshop. You appear to be very organized and have great systems. I am hoping to re-do our garage and would love some inspiration. 😁
Every single piece you do is unique, stunning and so professionally done,i could watch you all day! You've inspired me to restore and upholster 2x parker knoll ladder back chairs that's been screaming at me to do for 2yrs.. Thank you for your videos keep them coming ❤️🔨
I love your channel. High quality work without all the chatter. One suggestion I have is to make the print a little larger on the screen. It’s a bit hard to read when you are old :)
Wow that is such a beautiful dresser if I were there I would consider buying it. I just started restoring a night stand and making it into an av table the 2 different color wood stain idea is what I’ve been looking for.
This is not a makeover, this is a resurrection 👏👏👏

Thank you for leaving the birds singing in the video. It is very soothing. You are a very hard worker and your furniture is lovely.

Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying :)
I was happy to find out that I am not the only person who closes their eyes to check the level of smoothness. Heightened senses
The eyes can fool!
Um abraço do Brasil.
A man after my own heart. Never throw away a good piece of hardware, wood or any reusable item.
💯

totally agree! i'm hooked. it's so peaceful watching. the sounds and music and editing are superb like his furniture
Sponges from old seat cushions. That is some seriously incredible ingenuity. Love it!
This is such an ASMR video with birds singing in the background... The dresser is beautiful ☺️
The grain on that is gorgeous. So glad you rescued something that others would trash.

If you don't have a store that's a real shame. I'm loving the projects and you're giving me some new ideas!
“I feel it with my eyes closed” is the best advice a flipper can give. Beautiful!
Absolutely breathtaking again!!!
Wow! If I saw it in a store, I would buy it. Good work!
Such a pleasure to watch the process and to LEARN! Thank you :)
The pleasure is mine!
i love that you restored it rather than ‘flipped’ it
Dude…..your videos are so relaxing. Pure peace and joy. Thanks very much.
So enjoyable to watch and very educational. Love the two different stains you used for the drawers and rails. It added a lot of visual interest.
I love how u brought out the natural grain pattern in the wood to be naturally featured. beautiful.
I wish more furniture videos were like this. Simple, peaceful, and enjoyable. I’m looking forward to more videos.
Thank you :) Can’t wait to share more!
Such skill, the video production is a delight as well. Following

Awesome Andy. You have excellent taste and a wonder sense of vision.
Thank you for the kind words 😊
the recycling and reusing aspect make these that much more satisfying to watch😮💨
Love it when you said to the shoes: " I'll find you a new home some day" 😊
What a masterpiece!
I love your vision.

Those grains 😩😍 Exquisite job! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Bravo! I love how you stained the drawers and the dividers differently. Little details.
Love your beautiful work, the birds chirping, and how you save and reuse different components!
Lol @ nooks and crannies - not often heard from a younger generation. Nice one !
Your videos are so relaxing. I love to hear the birds singing in the background--especially the cardinals. This piece is gorgeous.
Such inventive color decisions. It’s modern, but still warm. Really nice!
I 'm in love with your way of feeling objects. That is cool.

Just brilliant 👍👏❤️❤️
Your transformation are genius.
Elm is such a gorgeous (and now rare) wood. Thank you for sharing this!
I love the color variation on this one. Just makes it stand out without being outlandish.
The before and after seem like two completely different pieces. Awesome job!
Turned out really well. Looks stunning
Lots of gems of info in this video. Thanks! Beautiful outcome.
Just wanted to see this piece again. Art.
I love mid century makeovers. Great transformation!
Oh my gosh the grain of those drawers 😳❤️ Again your choice of color and stain is just perfect. 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The wood tones takes this to another level 👌🏾
Personally, I don't have any preference on colour scheme but I like the way you choose colour and match different colours. Brilliant!
I've learnt so much. The best teaching style for me. No chatter, just doing. Thank you.

love the nature sound
Good combo of painting and letting wooden details as the drawers shine through.
Great job 👍🏾
I never realized how beautiful elm is . I guess I'm sitting on a goldmine of elm with a 125 foot elm in my backyard. Beautiful restoration.
Wow ! Terrific
