      @@GaryLamWingChunKungFuI put up a version of 12 hand on my site. Might have made one mistake. Inside outside. Single hand first. Starting front hand outside, inside, back hand outside, inside. Helping hand outside, helping hand inside. Lead hand outside, lead hand inside. TAN SAO DA TAN SAO DA. And PAK2PAK. With high low, running/cheating hand and FUNG HAO. 🙏💯my favorite set too.

    Hello, I have a couple of questions, is Master Gary Lam discipline of the late Grandmaster Wong Shun Leung? And what is his lineage relationship with Master Wan Kam Leung? Thanks.

    • @GaryLamWingChunKungFu
      @GaryLamWingChunKungFu  11 месяцев назад +3

      Sifu Lam studied under Wong Shun Leung, eventually serving as his chief instructor at his school for eighteen years. Wan Kam Leung is Sifu Lam's "sihing"; i.e. his senior at Wong Shun Leung's school.

      Sifu lam is amazing.
      I always found WKL to be visually unique and wanted to learn more about why he expresses the hands so differently but, at least several years ago when I was still training, there was very little English language explanation videos online from him.
      I haven’t trained in 4-5 years. Almost no solo practicing or anything. I’ve let myself down.
      Now that circumstances have changed a bit I can’t wait to bring back the energy I once had.

      @@BearsArms45 Just as he was taught by Wong Shun Leung, Sifu Lam teaches his students to chase an opponent's centerline, not the hands. "Chasing hands" is what a lot of lineages do, and it only prolongs the fight. It's not enough to simply hit your opponent. You must control him.
