    Very interesting stuff, I’ve actually seen similar ideas in (western) boxing, I suppose martial arts principles are the same no matter the style 💜

      Yes. When you get to the highest level of any martial art, you see that they employ similar principles. Thanks for watching.

      Yes. Different styles but one battle. Styles meet in battle. The person has 2 arms and 2 legs. The anatomical fight movements are finite. The spherical clock angles on the footwork and parry are universal. So, there is only one way to fight. Wing chun is close range and compressed sphere.

    This was mind blowing and really good. I'm usually trying to get at 15 degrees or 45. Never really doing 60 or 90.

  • @JKDVIPER
    @JKDVIPER 10 месяцев назад +4

    As far as the 45/60/90 and various degrees of angle. I try to use the helping hand and action hand at the furthest distance first, through the wrist, then change to the elbow step to the side, now im over the wrist and elbow pinning them with both hands towards center, now i go one in and one out, change again, enter facing changing to face away at center to avoid the back hand, and keep shifting my attack the whole way in. My WING CHUN personally uses BUI SAO a lot two handed like two swords. Thats jkd wing chun. Its like a long, far out, leg stops a hand, now two hands stop a hand and splitup wider to go inside and out. But the premise remains the same. 1. Control 2. Strike 3. Use his energy. Put it this way, if im standing lefty, and you are a righty, my left fook in a chi sao would be an automatic BUI GEE to your right eye pinning the arm, my inside right tan would be a cheung choy/bui gee throat hit, on center. Either way, dart and punch, or dart and dart. But basically my jkd chi sao is how i explain how we attack in jkd. A long leg extended fingers in a triangle. Fook and bong are used all the time as we pierce with bui sao to different soft targets. Eye on a righty with a left hand over his bridge, now shift and the right hand hits the throat. Now move center. Change again, now escape to the other side in a quan. Quan for us is bong and bui gee. Those are just a couple examples. But even though JKD has its own way to attack, i still pay close attention to the traditional art. WING CHUN. At a core, base, fundamentals. 😁👋✅💯

    lam sifu 您好 请教一个问题。。您说过bong shao 手臂不要高过肩膀 但对方比我高很多 。我手不抬起来 就挡不住对方的 直拳了吧。。 还是说 。 bong 手只是对付同等身高的对手 。。。 您能做个视频讲解下吗 谢谢😊

      If your opponent is taller than you, then you should use a tan sau, wu sau, or pak sau to protect yourself. The purpose of a bong sau is not to block a strike. It is a transition hand, meaning it helps you to change your position. I may do a bong sau video in the future.

    Knowing and doing are two different things.
    You might know and even want but if you don't practice and practice your body will not do..
    And next you will notice that even though you can do this during practice you cannot during sparring. So, next you will have to learn to relax and overcome your fear of getting hit to next being able to apply what you have practised.
    The angle you take depends on the force of your opponent during the sparring. and your own body mass.
