  • Roumanian Rhapsody No.1 from Palmer-Hughes Accordion Course book 5.
This is the final song, and I must say it is a challenge. There's a couple of tricky spots and finger switches, and the presto tempo in some parts can be a pain. However! impossible is nothing :D
    Enjoy!

Szymon ... very nicely played. My friend Leon (myaccordionhistory) just sent me a link to your channel. It's incredible that you've only been playing the accordion for a year, and you've been very busy during the last month with over 60 uploads ... truly amazing! You show a lot of confidence in your recent videos. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing more videos. Take care and keep on squeezing! Tony

Thanks for recording this. I've been trying to figure out how it should sound and this really helps.

@myaccordionhistory they definitely are. I really like how the lessons are planned out. When you get to a new book, the first piece isn't really that much different from pieces in the previous one. However, the progress WITHIN one book is enormous in my opinion. I mean, compare The Glowworm or Ragtime Cowboy Joe... with Nine Blind Mice or this. The difference is astonishing to me. I hope you get to see this for yourself (in a good way of course!) and I wish you that :)

@AGDStradella well now it's becoming more like 1.5, so I have to change that info hahah xD thank you for your encouragement and positive feedback :D I'll definitely continue playing, although it seems that I'll have a lot less time for that in the near future, due to exams and the upcoming 2nd year. Computer engineering is a time-consuming course.. u__u` but I'll manage, and I hope to finish both book 6 and 7 by x-mas :D

@REDZICKA95 I haven't said anything about my skill level (been playing for a bit over 2 years actively). I didn't say I was playing anything hard, lol. This IS a 120 bass, just a 3/4 size one. I've already got a 4 reed Weltmeister, but if you haven't noticed, I hadn't been uploading any new stuff for quite some time now. Right now I'm focusing on application design and development, and I don't really have time to play. Even the songs I have here, I can't play well enough anymore.. Regards :)

    Hello Simon,
    Most inspiring and motivating:
Life has many demands. Enjoy learning at your own pace in balance with all other things that need a ration of your time (e.g. study, recreation, working, family, friends, etc). Aim to dedicate a snippet of time to this instrument when you can afford to and the reward will be great in the long run. Learn and practice bit by bit when it suits you and let time take you there. Put it down permanently and years later you might regret discontinuing.

@XFal1con I KNOW I can be better ;] For now I'm concentrating on the course pieces though. Then I can play whatever I want.

@REDZICKA95 Oh, and I'd appreciate it if you'd make commentaries on someone's playing after you have something to show for yourself. Upload something, then criticize, please.

@REDZICKA95 nah, I don't get offended that easily :p just saying :) as for potential - I know I have it! : D I just don't have the time to play for n hours daily due to the fact that I don't live at home during my internship and university.. I hope you get to record something soon : D keeping my fingers crossed! And looking forward to the friend request v(^__^)
