So I am watching this and thinking of the conversation we have been carrying on. Well, here is something that came to mind: If this song was a part of a rock band/rock movement, the fans and the band itself without a doubt, would probably be occasionally open to it being performed just like this, on an accordion, with absolutely no words, on certain nights of the theoretical tour. You could walk out there in an arena full of 40 thousand people, play Mockingbird like this, and the rock fans of another era would applaud. They would not think "what is happening" and descend into a panic. Fans of today definitely wuold, in my opinion....
Bob Dylan did stuff like that constantly, especially during the ROlling Thunder Revue days inthe 70s... and even when you look at Jack White, you will see a lot of that sort of thing sometimse being done. In rap or , of course, commercialized new rock, this would never occur. The song must be the samr way every single time, much to the distaste of the band itself in my opinion. I blame Paul McCartney. jajajaja
Having said that, I do sometimes think that RUclips is going to finally show people that songs do not have to be performed precisely as they are on the record to be enjoyable. I myself seem to have always been into the live performance of songs since as far back as Ican recall, but most people seem to only like records. Anyways, it's just a thought, to try and display how much more "of the earth" the culture at times really was. It was laid back i feel in a way that all the music now is not, because it is suffocated by expectations and the records themselves wound up suffocating music.....

I don't know how I missed this cover? 🤔 I wanted to hear the piano cover again and this showed up in the search result as well. I don't recall seeing this before. I hope I don't find out you covered Moon by Little People and I missed that.
