I expected a shitpost but this is unironically just a super high quality cover. One of the best covers of Fire and Flames I've heard.
The best things are when it is both.
2:55 I said out loud “oh, it’s just a super high quality shitpost”
its through the fire and flames
It almost seems like it was written for the accordion.
a Through the Fire and Flames cover is never a shitpost my friend
Imagine you're at a polka festival and these two guys come onstage and play this.
You'll go torch stuff after that
All the old people start walking again. XD
My grandma would definitely get the hoveround circle pit going
I loose my shit...intoxicated....ejected
Torn between "WTF did I get spiked" and "I didn't realise they'd brought back Punk'd, where's Kutcher hiding"
How did the accordion not burst into Fire and Flames, while playing that song. Amazing.
Bayan, to be precise
LOL
Obviously they figured out how to watercool an accordion. That's the most logical answer I can come up with...😂
@@gotby nah these aren't bayans. These are PIGINI accordions under the name of the well known accordionist Lasse Pihlajamaa, the black model is called "Revontuli" and the white is a "Stage Star Professional Cassotto"
When the party wipes but the bards survived to kill the boss lol
😂
My fingers are sore just from watching.
I absolutely adore the references to the original music video.
Somebody get Herman Li to react to this.
Probably gotta show it to Weird Al too. I'm sure he'd absolutely flip for such an amazing accordion showcase
Yeah, Herman Li would be blown away by this.
@Matthew Brooks Get Herman Li and Weird Al to do a duet to this.
@@genericnamehere7602 oh fuck. yes pls!
HERMAN WHERE YOU AT BOIIII??
This is what RUclips should be for. Pure talent. I’m blown away.
nah. tiktok is for the purest of pure talent
"flippy like a flippagram"
And cat videos.
One of many good things it should be for. :)
I agree, but also don't.
RUclips should be for having fun and giving your viewers a good time, not "how do I get more subscribers?"
I never thought it was possible to produce such raw, sexual power from an accordion. Well done lads
Legit after the first 30 seconds messaged my lady and said "Im learning how to play the accordion" no hesitation she said no, looks like Im going to be the most eligible bachelor on next season of accordion master
*laughs in Weird Al*
Guess who never heard of Weird Al before...
@@Ni_ghtmareShould have showed her then finger movements. She'd have begged you to learn.
Playing accordion is the secret big-dick move. Most people outside of, say, Italian culture are gonna be quick, at first, to dismiss it: "Pff, accordion is too tinny sounding; i don't like that particular style of music!".......but in reality one has to be SUPER musically talented to play it, having to always do a bunch of things at once, and it can make some pretty damn amazing music.
The amount of skill it takes to play like this is insane. I have been playing Accordion myself for 12 years, giving live concerts, playing in competitions etc. but what those 2 are showing here is just on such a high level, that i am just sitting here being completely baffled. That really motivates me to keep pushing me further and grinding more. Thank you guys ❤
I'm pretty sure the accordian is the hardest looking instrument to play.
@@cloudsteele1989 Hardest looking, perhaps, but that actual layout is pretty simple to grasp if you're familiar with keys and chords. It's actually fascinating how intuitively an accordion's layout is designed once you understand it.
Power Polka was invented right here.
RUclips algorithm finally delivered this gem to me. Millions of views incoming lads, enjoy the ride! Thanks for this masterpiece
Hello from 2023
It certainly deserves that much
All hail the algorithm
The wave is coming
Jaw dropping - 200+ bpm , accordion sweeps, drum fills, pac man noises, unique accordion harmony fills, the solo beer. Solos on this are mesmerizing. I hope this becomes as legendary as the flute cover.
Wait, there's a flute cover? Do you mean the Algal cover, which is awesome and in style (medieval/bard whatever), but has absolutely nothing to do with the original's technicality, if that's a word (not a native speaker). Sure, there's "solos", but in the original meaning (solo as in single instrument takes the lead), which is super on point for what he's doing! Again - really really good cover for a XVI century tavern band. Buuuuut... not "solos" as in metal.
These guys play metal! The solos are metal solos!
@@--Lam nope, I think they're referring to this video: ruclips.net/video/tyTz_-EQOXE/видео.html
Also loved their imitation of the guitar string breaking at the end of this song.
@@--Lam Look up the flute/recorder cover by Alejandro. There is the original version from 12 years ago and a more recent remastered version.
There is! And it's called the dragon flute.
The only possible thing that could make this better would be Weird Al singing vocals. Outstanding work, I didn’t know I needed this.
It's totally something he'd be down for, guaranteed. Would love to see it become a reality 🤞
The man opened up the medium for artists such as these, the man deserves a Grammy Oh wait he's won 5 and been nominated 8 times, the man's an inspiration which is why they are probably parodying this song in the first place
That would be awful
I was going to say! Someone call him for a colab!
@@cotadelgadohectorernesto9969 But in a good way, though. 🤣
And for 7 minutes and 42 seconds the accordion was the most badass instrument on the planet!
How is this unironically more impressive than if it was on guitar? Absolutely amazing.
@@fr3tn0iz you did not just say that
@@fr3tn0iz Studioforce that can't even play half of their songs live. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@arcuz7862 how dare you
@@dragginforce Facts.
I agree... not to take away from dragonforce, but these two are way more isolated without bass, drums and a larger ensemble.
It would not be more impressive if it was just one accordian doing Herman Li's part.
This was perfection, all the way from every run to the mario kart lick in the middle. Slapped harder than Will Smith, 5/5
I laughed about your slapping comparison! 😅
As explained by Herman Li, it's the 'Pacman noise'.
Wait will smith was 9 months ago da fuq?
Bwahahah! 😂
@@lucarinaldichini324 this mf laughing like bowser 💀
Blown away. You guys make accordion look metal as hell.
its always be one of folk metal intruments.. what are you talking about
Check out Arkona and Kalevala, they use accordion in their folk metal sound, and it’s fucking awesome.
Anything can be metal if you try hard enough. Look at Violens
First time this sentence has ever been uttered in history.
@@arimimusic Ewww, folk metal :barf:
I will never complain about playing this song on Guitar Hero ever again. Amazing job
Suddenly, the bards leaped forward to unleash a salvo of mighty notes at the enemy; no mere tavern songs, these, but each phrase channeling the power of long-forgotten lore and stories of mighty heroes. 🎼⚔️
I watched Dragon Force's Herman Li react to this video, and I've swung by to hear it yet again for 3 days in a row now. Very impressive guys.
This is literally the best TTFAF cover ever. I didn't know you could shred on an accordion until today
I bet you haven't watch the recorder cover of TTFAF
From Algal the Bard? Totally different kind of skill but also excellent. With his I like how it's totally rearranged and is even in a different time signature.
It used to be my job to play humppa, often with an accordionist ... Polka, humppa, masurka and other genres are nothing but accordion shred! Feels like jazz, 'the song' exists as a platform of changes for the w***er to wan-solo over.... and over, and over, and over and over.
@@yoshimitsu5537 I assume raven is talking about the 12 year old cover from Alejandro Sayago; which Herman Li also reacted to. Alejandro also has a 2021 version on his channel.
This is simultaneously the most amazing and most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Absolutely glorious.
Being perfectly in time with each other with no drums or anything. Respect.
And this is just another reason I do not consider this instrument a joke instrument. Some truly great music has been played on these and, well this is one of the most epic!
The Million dollar question is HOW IS THIS EVEN PHYSICALLY PISSIBLE. you two have my complete respect. You did awesome. Thank you for such a great cover
Cannot physically be pissed
You two shred so hard on accordion. Wait...WTF? How do you manage to SHRED on an accordion? And it's so slick, clean and precise! It's actually scary! I'm shocked.
The man to answer how do you shred on accordion is Weird Al, but you already knew that 😅
That right there is humanity at its peak
As a fellow accordion player I feel obligated to comment on this video... This has to be one of the most phenomenal performances I've seen in a while. Playing the individul parts is one thing but playing together in sync and performing to the camera/audience takes this to another level. Well done!
And I wonder how long did it take to learn the damn thing! That's what I want to know! As a kid, I tried to learn to play the accordion, the kid in the neighbour tried to teach me. He had no formal training at all, just a natural talent learned from his father. He told me, that the thing that your left hand (alternating bass line) does is called "humpattaa", or trying to miserably translate it to English, "to humppa". I never learned that, and my learning stopped after getting the first few bars of My Bonni Lies Over The Ocean down. But these guys go note to note on an extra fast metal song and still they "humpattaa" too! I'm just laughing here in awe, I just can't handle this awesomeness! And the callbacks to the original video, just the perfect icing on the cake!
the amount of trust you need to have in your partner to be able to pull this off is incredible. amazing musicians and some sibling love and trust right there
As a man with fried dopamine receptors and a ruined attention span, this is the first video I've watched all the way to the end without skipping around in a *while*.
I know absolutely nothing about how accordions work or are played, but I am absolutely mesmerized by how their hands are absolutely FLYING
I love how so few of us can comprehend how Herman Li can make those sounds on a guitar but these guys have mimicked it perfectly on a accordion. Most impressive.
Like completely unironically, this is absolutely amazing and deserves WAY more recognition!
I'm curious why you can't just say, "This is absolutely amazing and deserves way more recognition." Did you really think people would misunderstand you without the "like completely unironically" disclaimer?
Anyone else get like... scared for the accordians around the 4 minute mark? Brilliant. Instantly subscribed.
I cant believe it! You guys even did the choreography from the original music video when Sam and Herman do the guitar battle! Even the drinking between solos! Every square inch of this absolutely shines with the amount of love and effort you put into it. I'm so fucking impressed!
You know, it’s a shame that with all of this absolutely mind blowing musicianship, the choreography and video direction in this video really goes under-appreciated. This is just across the board fantastic.
If I got randomly recommended then it won't go under appreciated anytime soon
Whilst they are good quality (especially the audio), the video wouldn't be good if the musicians performance bombed. The camera could be stationary facing them using a built in mic like many highly viewed/liked RUclips performances of old and this would still be widely praised.
To be fair, the choreography video direction is very standard for a “band performance” type video.
Definitely the highlight was them trading solos while the other took a drink of soda. 9.9/10 (didn't drink La Croix)
This just FEELS like a viral video yet it only has 60k views at the time I'm watching it, this is genuine RUclips gold omg
Mastering TTFAF on your favorite instrument automatically makes you a legend. 🙂
For real
that's it, I'm hiring these guys the next time I get into a cinematic fight in europe
MY MIND IS BLOWN
MY HANDS ARE CRAMPING WATCHING THIS
THESE SWEEPS ARE INSANE!!!!! 🤯🤯🤯
This is MIND-BLOWING, y'all are incredibly talented! So glad the algorithm threw this my way!
The sheer amount of buttons/notes on an accordion already amazes me, but watching these two play like it's second nature to them is far more amazing. Truly a work of art, keep it up guys.
This is by far, one of the most incredible videos on RUclips I’ve seen! You’ve simultaneously made Herman Li and Weird Al proud haha! Just an incredible amount of talent and Lord knows how many hours of practice! Absolutely amazing work guys!
You may also enjoy 2 Cellos
Their thunderstruck cover is great
Ok, that was a solid suggestion! Haha!
I was truly hoping for someone to mention Weird Al haha first person I thought of 😄 I'm sure he'd be really proud.
the Piazzolla interpolation is *masterful* and gives me chills on top of everything else, absolutely stellar, unmatched cover
461 seconds of pure enjoyment.
Never headbanged to an accordion before. Pure perfection.
As an accordionist myself, this is incredible in every way. Also, I find it quite funny that the name of one of you is Herman as well
It was made for them lol
stupid question but is it hard to learn to play accordion? that instrument mystifies me so much and idk why loi. i was a wierd kid and never grew out of it forgive me lol
@@justinfulton1305 it's hard for me to say for sure, because I've been playing it since I were 6, but I'd say it's not much harder than learning to play piano. It can be a bit tricky, but the general ideas are the same: either way, you have to learn to make your hands do stuff independently, and you need to memorize the "keyboards" sooner or later or you will be really slow at it. Both of these aren't that difficult to achieve so long as you practice, and then, it's only about learning to do more fast and complex stuff.
Also, I loved the accordeon the moment I saw it because of its piano keyboard for the right hand (weird reason, bit I *was* six, after all, but when I went to music school with my family, I've been recommended to try the button version instead, and to this day, I love the button accordeon, while the keyboard one is just alright, but nothing fancy. The reason is the general difference in sound: keyboard accordeons generally sound all French and funny, while a good button accordeon could be compared to an organ in terms of sound, making it perfect for playing classical music.
Good to see more of us, what's your current library highlight

To say this is epic is a massive understatement.
As a Dragonforce fan, I highly appreciate the accuracy not only to the song itself but the little nods to the music video! You just earned yourselves a new fan!
When I thought it couldn't get better, it just went and got better.
Will forever be grateful this randomly appeared in my feed… as an aspiring accordionist, this reignited my passion to learn and I’ll be practicing endlessly now
If two pirates had a hidden love for rock it would sound exactly like that
Incredibly well played
2:54 Oh don't think I didn't notice you working those Piazzolla riffs into this cover! Amazing job! I can tell you had a ton of fun putting this one together.
Yes! What mastery!!!!!
Unexpected Libertango
i'm just adding the numbers to this video's comments because it's such a splendid cover and i'm quite speechless.
You even did the "guy drinking while the other shreds" thing. Nice touch!
I didn’t realize just how beautiful the accordion was as an instrument. This is definitely the most slept on instrument in all of music. Seriously what an incredible cover.
May I recommend, for your consideration, the hurdy gurdy as another contender.
The harpeji is also pretty cool
Herman Li sent me here! This is amazing!
When the bard rolls a 20 on a performance check
The "Synth Death" section sealed this lmao this was amazing!!!
That two pirates while their ship going through the Drake Passage.
I've never once heard two men play accordion so well, much less shred on them. Absolutely astounding work.
Homeschooling has some advantages.
The way they hand off lead melody and backup is crazy smooth and talented.
The fact I can hear their fingers clicking the keys make this even better when they do the runs. This actually makes me smile, seeing someone use the accordion and play a wicked song like this, and it sound just as lit and impressive as the original. Truly, one of, if not the, best works of a cover with an unlikely instrument.
Oh that Piazolla there, awesome.
I love how one of them drank from a glass of water over 4 minutes in and almost immediately continued playing!
Controlling everything, even in tandem with each other. Living, breathing, through your instrument. Insane.
I like how during the solo they both drink water when they're not playing, much like the guitarists did in the original Dragonforce video.
Excellent playing, staging, shot composition, and theatrics. I hope it was half as fun putting together as it looks.
Once you start the video, it's impossible to leave without finishing
Accordion is like one of the hardest instruments to play - so many different movements and keys to hit. This is insane to watch!
That's hot.
How hot is it?
>Throws a bucket of water to the musicians. The water turns into steam before even touching them<
That hot.
Awesome cover, guys.
This is hot enough to melt concrete
@@tjhooker824 *insert 9/11 joke here also*.
They went through the fire and flames, after all. ;)
The amount of talent that it would take to even figure out how to play all the parts for multiple vocalists, two guitarists, a bassist, and a pianist , across only two accordion is very impressive. Actually playing it is something truly talented.
Superhuman hands and I feel that's an understatement. Definitely the most technical cover I've seen from this song.
I feel like I'm playing the most epic final fantasy ever listening to this
Thanks RUclips. I guess I'm gonna listen to DragonForce for the first time in a decade. Amazing skills here.
Of all Through The Fire And The Flames renditions I've seen, this surely has to be one of, if not *the* best. It sounds amazing and you guys are so entertainingly performative while playing. Properly mind blowing.
I came expecting a silly accordion cover of a great song. What I got instead was: incredible talent, an excellent arrangement, and a top tier accordion cover of a great song

RUclips algorithm actually did something good and brought this amazing cover to my attention! Truly epic work, not just from the two of you, but whoever recorded and edited this video also totally knew what they were doing, so hats off to them as well! And just to echo some of the sentiments I read in the comments, yes, I would love to see Herman Li and/or Weird Al react to this. I am sure they would both be just as impressed as all of us, if not more, because...DAMN!
This is absolutely insane, definitely one of the best covers I've heard in a long time!
The attention to detail is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I lost it when you guys took turns drinking during the solo/battle. I love it. One of the absolute best covers I've seen.
4:10 OHHHHH HE DID THE THINGGGG -Sax players everywhere
The accordion is the greatest instrument ever created. Change my mind.
this was beautiful.....this video needs a few more million views and a Herman Li reaction for sure.
Severely underrated video. This deserves 100s of thousands of likes
This is actually unbelievable. This is by far the best cover and most creative arrangement I've ever heard of this song.
How this doesnt already have a million views is beyond me. This was beautifully done and man, I never knew you could shred an accordion before.
Was lazily scrolling through RUclips, searching for maybe some traces of copper, and found a whole freaking sea of gold and platinum. One of the best things I encountered recently. Absolutely amazing!
I never thought I’d see the day my face was melted off by accordions. This is sick af.
