They both sound spectacular, Gary. Thanks for the comparison.
They are both very very fine guitars
So far you are the only person on RUclips showing off the new Songwriter! It’s my dream guitar at the moment! I love the Les Paul inspired headstock
I hope it was helpful. I insist on a cutaway for what I do since I use the upper registers a lot. So the Songwriter made a lot of sense. The Les Paul Custom Ornamentation makes it incredibly looking! My audiences seem to respond to this guitar very well.
It's definitely a keeper thanks for the comparison. Both guitars are great sounding. I am a rosewood guy who plays a Taylor 714ce.
Thanks for stopping by Kevin.
beautiful guitars!!! but i pick the Gibson in this round!! sweet loud full just exceptional!!!
It’s the best Gibson dread of played.
That was a fine presentation mate. Please het that amplification in soon. Songwriter feels like the one for me
Thanks for checking it out. The Songwriter surprised me. It is very musical, rich, loud and inspiring
Thanks Gary- 🎧🎙️
Wonderful demo and presentation comparison. Songwriter has its own voice and musicality as well as the HD. Since they both have a long scale design I can why you’d desire both guitars for different tone colors. I’m a bit partial to a CFM dreadnought, but the Songwriter or the long scale Dove would be contenders. Gibson gets their game on with their custom shop quality guitars. That’s my 2¢ imho. Play on..
I had a Gibson Dove that was a great strummer but it was not as punchy or consistent up and down the neck, especially on single not runs and solos. I sold the Dove and have no regrets there. This custom Songwriter is nailing what I want from a Gibson dread.
@@gair1944 possibly because the Dove is maple and SW and HD-28 are RW.
They both sound good. Martin is $4000. Gibson is $5000. That might make a difference to a lot of players. Deciding factor????
Retail pricing. Yes. I was fortunate to get this Martin in 2018 for $2500. Times were different then and I was able to get a deep back then.
