A man chained to a wheel chair saying he's extremely grateful for his life. Wow. My great respect for this intelligent, humble man has doubled.
Yes, I'm always amazed by how long Stephen Hawking has survived with his disability, I wonder how much of it is down to his zest for life and an urge to keep finding out more about the universe. Heh, i wonder what the Pope said to him?, .. repent or burn in hell :-)
And how how about all that he owes to scientists and engineers and doctors, who do a lot more for keeping him alive than zest, I imagine.

But he did not say that it is a fact that there isn't a god. He believes there isn't one and also thinks that heaven and hell PROBABLY doesn't exist. Scientist are factual people and there is no evidence to claim that it is for sure hence why I think he choose his words very carefully. Genius this man!
Very sad that he never believed in the creator of our Universe, GOD.

Lord, God, please heal Stephen Hawking from his illness. May he see light rather than the darkness that surrounds him.
I do not believe on God. But I think there is a higher power that began all of this.

If only more human beings were intelligent enough to realize the truth that a god does not exist. It would be a better world in all aspects.
I think it is arrogant to think a higher being doesn't exist because the very argument against the existence of god SUPPORTS god's existence. Yet the very people who preach it are blind to it.
So when someone says, their are so many planets inside so many solar systems within infinite galaxies, life ought to happen at some point and we are it. Well according to you, the universe is sooo huge and anything can happen really, why does your argument disprove the existence of god? It supports both claims equally.
Hope you can point out my misconceptions.
@IgotDis14 I am exhausted from reading the stupidity of your words. I can't even begin to explain the cliché of your assumptions heard a multiple of times by uneducated people like yourself. Please, read a book, Google a question, subscribe to a RUclips channel such as Agatan, and the many other channels that attempt to educate people. Don't be afraid to learn fact. It's better to be sighted by reason, than blinded by faith.
But you didn't point out my misconceptions.. You just said that i'm dumb and shout get educated.
Also I'm subbed to this channel among many other's with the same sentiment in regards of religion.
IgotDis14 I think the point Louis was making was that, with infinite planets and infinite galaxies our existence doesn't need a creator. But one has been imagined by us. This is a separate point from the fact that the creator in Bible, is not a pleasant character, he seems to constantly want never ending praise and does virtually nothing in response ,certainly doesn't answer prayers . He leave millions to die in abject pain and misery, nor does he punish the incredibly wicked people, no that is left to our courts to deal with. Pointless, useless and unnecessary , my friend.
So he is not needed for our existence and unhelpful during our lives. So why bother constantly praising him.

Imagine god as your math teacher.. When your math teacher quizzes his students on the subject. Does he put simple and obvious questions? No, he makes them difficult, to see who has prepared and who hasn't. He makes the quizzes knowing that students WILL fail, does that mean he is evil and should be ignored?
God doesn't provide conclusive evidence to his existence, and god doesn't save everyone from misery. What kind of test will that be, where everyone, even the evil spirited, passes..

If he was that intelligent, he would believe in a creator. Too bad. He knows now and hope God forgave him
