With a lot of people logic and Common Sense aren't something they're used to hearing and so they don't get it. It's as if they're listening to a foreign language when you start "hitting them" with reason.
The content is concise and of quality. Sometimes... it's narration. This channel has very good narration, but the way some words are pronounced can have unintended consequences with respect to the listener. I personally find this channel's mispronounciations (screw you spellcheck, that's a real word) to be humorously beneficial. Example: In this vid, the words "lunar" and "solar" are pronounced as if they were the names of Klingon warriors. "SOH-lar did come from the mountain with his sword... but LOO-nar met his fury with her shield and a great battle blah blah blah" :) TL-DR; When the ear can pick up that the narrator has only ever read a word, and not heard it, this knowledge can accidentally trip a subconscious BS detector in some humans. (Heck. Maybe it's just a TTS engine that fooled me into thinking it was a person.)
This video touches on complex topics that intersect science and philosophy, two different domains with divergent methods for approaching truth. I wanted to provide some perspectives on the issues raised: - Stephen Hawking did not attempt to disprove God using scientific theories. As a scientist, he understood that God is by definition outside the scope of scientific inquiry. However, Hawking preferred empirical scientific explanations over metaphysical ideas. - There is no scientific consensus that the universe was created from "nothing." Furthermore, the concept of creation lies more in the realm of religion rather than science. Scientifically, one assumes matter and energy exist in different forms rather than being created. - No evidence in science points to the universe or its rules being consciously created. As mentioned prior, creation falls under a religious framework, not a scientific one. The prevailing scientific view is that the matter and energy preceding the Big Bang expanded to form the observable universe today.
Talking about god from a scientific point of view is a silly idea in general, because indeed there's no scientific methodology to apply to any kind of god. You can not use logic to predict what god will do, and you can not make an experiment to test it. An entity that is called god is fundamentally out of reach of any kind of science. Show me a person who is able to investigate how logic started ruling the world! Or one who is able to examine the evolution of the laws of nature (the objective ones I mean, not how we formulated them). Beginning of the world is also a non-scientific concept, because we can only work with whatever already exists, and only extrapolate backwards based on that. Now is that supposed to mean that whatever the science has not discovered doesn't exist? Obviously not. There are many things science can't discover on principle. For example answers to inherently humanitarian questions like "what makes us happy and what makes us miserable?" Sure, some things that make us happy or miserable are very well scientifically measurable. But how exactly are we even going to measure happiness itself objectively? All we have is a person telling us they're happy! Love is another such concept that is "irrelevant" for science. Does that mean it should be irrelevant to us? And so on, there's a ton of other "abstract" things that add meaning, value, and purpose to our lives. Natural science can't work with them. And it's a profanation of both science AND religion to try to prove irrelevance of non-scientific concepts on a general, philosophical scale. Philosophy also doesn't obey to scientific method. But it's an extension of religion, if we define religion as "whatever handles moral questions as part of universal worldview questions". The idea that god does not exist is also purely religious, not scientific. Because it answers a purely religious, non-scientific question. In religion, any scientifically observable phenomenon can be explained as an act of god. It's just a level of mental maturity that determines how stupid we want to imagine it. Is it about an old man on a cloud throwing lightnings at us, and then we go there and see nobody? Or is it about designing an entire universe in a way that doesn't enforce any specific worldview, neither theistic nor atheistic? There's no limit on how far back we could go and say "now this scientifically verified phenomenon has been curated by god on a higher level". We just don't need to forcibly limit ourselves with any one worldview (scientific OR religious), because it damages our overall awareness... and ability to adapt our current worldview to new discoveries (something science claims to be able to do, but variety of factors make it harder, like bureaucracy in academics, or business model of scientific journals).
imam Ali was asked how do you see God he replied : Eyes can never see God, but hearts with proper belief can recognize God. God is close to everything, but not attached to things; is away from everything, but is no stranger to them; is a speaker, not through thinking or thought; is determined, not by desire or wish; is creator/maker, not by hands or legs; is kind and friendly, and that is not secret or hidden; is great not by oppression; can see but not with external senses; is kind, but not touchy; the heads and faces fall down (prostrate) due to God’s greatness; and the hearts are restless due to fearing God
We can SAY whatever sounds all intelligent....all deep and humble LOL....prolly infinitely LESS than a baby babbling to our own ears.....but it just feels good to babble on I guess is why we keep doing it
Absence of evidence is not proof of non-existence but it's a pretty reliable indicator. Religious believers are not looking for the truth, they are looking for a fantasy they can live with. There is plenty of evidence that people make up gods, and will cling to even the slightest possibility that they are real..
@@sayfskillz5779 Religion cannot precede, take ownership or judge on behalf of the creator. Religion is merely a set of laws written by humans to govern other humans.
Hawkins was true about God not having enough time to create the universe, except for him thinking that God works inside time space. God created time. So he is beyond time. That also says that God doesn't need a past creator necessarily. Because there is no past for God. The whole timeline is present to him. He has created the past, the present and the future for his creations.

God is a psychological coping mechanism invented by men, a symbolic character in the dramas we create about our own desires and fears. Just because God is a product of the human mind doesn't mean he isn't "real," other products of the human mind, such as language, law, art and customs, are real and not to be dismissed.
That’s the thing though, being in this earth isn’t about self. Because if it’s about self, that’s exactly how you wind up with people using God(of any religion) to justify their own personal desires even if if it’s wrong
How exactly did that mechanism help to cope tho? If I find myself in a deadly situation, how is coping going to help me, and why would it rely on a whim-based decision that an entity I know nothing about, exists? Like, let's not forget that if the concept of god was invented at some point, then people who invented it didn't know anything about it prior to that event, it simply didn't exist. And then they came up with a random collection of traits and it somehow helped them cope with bad situations. So successful at that, that it persisted across millennia.
@@feosTAS God represents a father figure in the Abrahamic religions, he gives rules to live by, assures a heavenly reward for obedience and punishes our enemies. Human social groups evolved with alpha males, tribal chieftains and patriarchs along with holy men to pass wisdom from generation to generation. @@TheShinedownfan21 Abrahamic religions weren't the first ones to exist, and gods of those other religions were very different, willing to demand human sacrifice and whatnot. And even in old testament god doesn't really assure any heavenly reward. According to it, literally everyone who dies goes to hell, better people just suffer less there (tho I'm not sure if that aspect is explicitly addressed in the old testament directly). Why does it sound logical that alpha males and wise people invented an entity that's beyond them, delegating their powers to that entity, and not presenting themselves as gods instead? And again, how is the idea of some benevolent rule giver helped them cope, especially given they invented it on a whim? Even then, lots of old religions were very cruel, doesn't look like something that is currently presented as a cope helper.

Here's what truly perplexes and enrages religious people of all faiths: Even if there is a god, it's nothing remotely like what's in your particular superstitious texts. Even if a deist agrees that there might be a god, there's zero chance that it's like the monsters described in the bible, the quoran, the Torah or any other man-made book of nonsense. So, believers, I'll grant you that there's a god, but it's not the one you get to describe and create out of your fevered, terrified minds. Amen.
Agreed. Although according to some religions the bibles are supposed to be god-made… (or god inspired) There is a little to no chance that any bible on earth is actually real. I am christian, but i still believe that my religion probably isn’t true (it is a 1 in almost a billion chance considering how many religions there are) It is simply the religion i have the *most* faith in, but this statement seems the most-likely. Well put. 👍
yeah that's what seems most reasonable for me. There's too many human made god(s) and goddesses etc and there's literally a 0% chance a real god is accurately described by any of them. But it doesn't mean there isn't some form of a god or gods.
@reynism5089 The Quran has many prophecies (both scientific facts not known at the time, & just predictions about the future) that turned out to be true, but it has no contradictions
Yes.... Who created God? This my all time question from childhood when my mother told me about god.... I thought I would find the answer in future with the help of highly qualified peoples.... But now I understand that our brain doesn't support that "answer" ... because of our limitations in this reality of life....... Well I'm happy that I know many things better than average people who believe in "faith"
It's very simple God by definition is uncreated, anything that is created is not God God is beyond time and space If God was created that'd suggest that something existed before God But since there's no "before" and "after" for God, it doesn't make sense to say someone created Him
Just because science cannot prove the existence or non-existence of God, doesn’t mean he is real or unreal. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we can’t see. If a person doesn’t want to believe in God, he or she does not have to. Science today says they are up to 11 dimensions they use mathematics to speculate about these other realms. God and Heaven are in another dimension.
Science is never about proving God is or is not. Science and religion are two completely different spheres of knowledge each trying to explain causality in it's own different ways. So bringing in an argument like a scientist does a research to prove or disapprove God wouldn't be a logical enough argument.
Just because I don't know how the car works, there for a creator, what a stupid thing to say. Science does not disprove God , the only reason why science even works is because the laws of the universe don't change every ten seconds, because the God who made this universe doesn't change. Saying that just because you understand the car (creation) doesn't mean that you come any close to disproving the creator, no matter how much you use science to study it it doesn't matter you won't get any closer to disproveing that it has a creator. It's because we know how the universe works we say there for an intelligent mind a creator had to have been behind it

The crisis today is that educators are introducing ideas that call good evil and evil good, leading to darkness. Darwinian ideologies are the foundation educators use to diminish God's word. “Axis of Beginning” is a play that can be read as a story and experienced as a stage performance to help support and educate young adults about God's creation.
Brother Klonusk, your videos are veru informative and astounding. I request you to make videos on Bhagwat Puran in which other dimensions and God's existence is explained. I'm keen to view your presentation regarding this great piece of scientific & spritual books and thoughts.
When hawking said time wasn't there before singularity itself contradicts the statement about denial of existence of time. It meams there is some period between singularity and big bang
I saw a video once saying: "An Artists with a drawing, the Artist dies but the drawing remains, and there is evidence that he existed, Builder with a Building, the Builder dies, the Building stays there giving evidence for the Builder existing before he died, God, creator, we cant see him we dont know what happened really, but his creation remains. The World, the People, the Universe, everything was created by a creator."
Ok, answer a question then: Everything in this universe is because of change of form of energy or conversion of energy from matter to energy or vice versa. We know energy can never be created nor be destroyed. The builder builds a building from materials, he changes shape, changes composition, at the end what he is doing is changing the form of matter, the shape of matter, changing some form of energy into another. That's why we know everything in this universe has a cause because of that it must have happened. But we don't even know what is outside of this universe, if there is energy outside of this universe or not, or there is any outside, so we cannot use that builder argument(causality argument) that says everything has a cause outside universe, because we simple don't know anything outside of 93billion light years diameter. So we can't say there is any creator or not
Paintings need a human painter and buildings need a human builder, but the universe does not need a "creator" because it transcends time, was never non-existent and has no ultimate beginning, only phase changes from one state to another.. Humans like to project their own experiences on the universe as through it were a mere artifact like a painting or building that had to be "made."
I wouldn’t ask the Pope’s opinion on Cosmology. Nor do I put great stock in Hawking’s religious views. The question of Go’d existence is not a scientific issue.
Thats very intellectually appealing and balanced conclusion for looking at the universe in all modesty. Though I hope you could touch over the point of human consciousness as well. We all believe as if we or other living creatures have 'will' to work against what is physically determined from the time of Bigbang and trust its 'rationality' behind it. If it is indeed a some kind of substance or realm, we truely have something beyond matter, space and energy. However if it is really just about nothing other than those matters, as we are also strictly obeyed by the same principle, it will be irrational to believe that our brain is formed such a way that it can function as the rational tool and do something of its own will. I'm very intrigued by this idea. Nonetheless, these are the questions many brilliants come out with and suggest unthinkable answers. And I think it's wonderful to have open mind over these questions rather than use them as weapons to opposing ideas. I like your videos!
@TheShinedownfan21 Yes. According to the suggested hypothesis, our mind can be illusion and have no 'free will', which I have no problem understanding. However, my real question is where does 'rationality' thereby come into play as nobody is actively engaging in purposeful discussions but cause-effects of physical properties. I still do feel like what we access and achieve as human beings are purposeful in many ways. The fact that you are putting that comment to perhaps 'convince others' is because you trust your own rationality and believe that you can access the truth. But in what basis do we trust our own when all of these are byproducts of determined chain reactions of Bigbang?
@@sammyson7665 Your will / heart comes from the transcendent / intuitive self, which is not a byproduct of atoms but a gift or property from a higher plane of existence. Coherence is designed into the Universe from the ground up - the formation of Something from Nothing (chaos) is strong evidence of this. Just think about it. The entire human genome is only 20,000 genes. This means only 20,000 non-thinking, non-directed, unintelligent proteins gives rise to: 30 trillion cells and their relationships between each other Over 200 differentiated cell types The shape of 200 bones and joints The distinct formation and regulatory mechanisms for 79 vital organs The positions and plumbing for 800 lymphatic nodes The positions and plumbing for 10 billion capillary tubes, plus feed and return paths to every organ and tissue The location and wiring for 20 million neurons, which produce spatial coherence and sensation The wiring of 100 billion neurons, plus 100 trillion axons, which produces a neurally elastic structure, capable of stable change, and of course results in consciousness (the machinery / house of the soul) The immune system, capable of fighting any disease given enough time The reproductive system, capable of building entirely new units from only two cells There is no way 20,000 protein chunks is going to explicitly code for all of that. Instead, we see implicit design through some minimal amount of information. This is fine tuning beyond the theoretical conception. No true scientist would be so arrogant as to publicly Proclaim that THEY- are the "science".
You're doing that awful, outdated routine of saying _"God created us"_ without attaching a shred of evidence to prove your claim is true. It's 2024, mohammmed, not 1724. In 2024, you have to prove your claims with evidence, not just claim such things.
that's what's unfortunate about religions ... there is also some bad. the terrifying thing here is bad can varies .. from simple .. to absolutely catastrophic .
You could not evolve even a single gene randomly from scratch. Let us calculate the probability of doing so. One of the simplest viral RNA sequences is only 400 base pairs long (and represents a very poor ribosomal molecule). Let's say this is all you need to start life, which is obviously not enough (we'd need at least 250 more genes at ~1000 base pairs each for a functional cell). Let there be a trillion trillion Earths, each with an ocean made entirely of amino acids (1.4E24 kg ocean per planet, 110 DA per amino acid, yielding 7.7E45 amino acids per planet). Let the entire sequence of these amino acids be combined into a single chain on each planet, giving the highest possibility of forming at least one correct sequence in the entire chain. Let these Earths randomly recombine their sequence of amino acids at a rate of a million times per second for 100 trillion years (until the last star dies). You are left with approximately 7.7E89 total combinations across this period. Now, let us set up the odds of assembling the correct sequence. The odds that an event occurs can be approximated as one minus the odds the event does not occur after a given number of trials. Let the probability that we get at least one sequence of 400 base pairs in this situation be: P = 1 - (1 - 1/(4^400)) ^ 7.7E89. Compute this formula in Wolfram Alpha to see what the odds are of life arising randomly. To those who will argue the Universe is infinite / infinitely cyclical, this would mean you also believe Planet Mountain Dew, Star Wars, and the Purple Flying Spaghetti Monster were/are/will be real. Yet you still do not believe an unmade creator / eternal designer is real? Let me put it this way. It is more reasonable to believe in a creator God than it is to believe life evolved randomly.
You're ignoring the arguably more bleak probability that a planet has all of the prerequisites to sustain life, not just long enough to support basic microbial life, but for the planet to harbor life long enough for evolution to reach a point where a species becomes sentient. That said, that's a horrendously bad reason for saying there has to be a God. I also never understood how people can tell themselves that the belief in a creator is somehow a more simple, elegant belief than a simply spontaneous universe because, were it true, it creates a host of new questions to be answered.
@@ESFoxwell I’ve come to the conclusion that God is more of some kind of inherent law, or unmade structure, from which all things arise. And it just so happens to be that such a structure / law is capable of producing intent. And if it is indeed true, then why not explore it? Tell me the last time we learned something new about the truth and had less questions because of it. You will find such thinking is a property of a dogmatic / religious mentality!
@@ESFoxwell The universe may not be full of intent, that is until you look at life itself. Just because an ordered design is “naturally occurring” and microscopic does not make an unintentional, or causal, process an appealing solution. What I’m saying is, if you found that message on the moon, what would you believe? Are you in the “natural causes” camp? Not just any arrangement will do.

Your last question, "who created God?" ...Like you cook fish 🐠, who cooked you? ... Creator n Creature is not same. U cannot apply same rules on creator n Creature..
Everything that can be postulated must fall into one of two categories: possible or necessary. For any possible entity, its existence depends on something other than itself. A possible entity cannot exist unless an external cause brings it into existence. This cause could be a necessary or a possible entity. If this cause is a necessary entity, then the proof of a necessary entity is established; but if it is a possible entity, it too requires an external cause for its existence. Concerning this latter case, we again have two possibilities, namely, that of a necessary entity and that of a possible entity. Therefore, the chain of possible entities terminates either with a necessary entity or results in either a circular or an infinite series. Both circularity and sequence are impossible according to the following features: Concerning the concept of a circle, it indicates that entity A's existence depends upon the existence of entity B. As long as the existence of entity B is also dependent upon the previous existence of entity A, creating a dependency cycle, a circle is created. In this case, the occurrence stays only a conceptual model and cannot be actualized in real life. Tahanvi interprets distance as the interdependence of one entity on another, where one needs the other for their very existence in a state of mutual stasis. The continuity in the chain of causes comes about if we think of each thing as an effect of a previous cause in an endless chain. If, in following backward, each would be an effect of a previous one and a cause for the next, then such a situation could not, in fact, happen in actuality. Therefore, we have to come, in the end, to a being that is not a cause. Therefore, the series of possible entities must conclude with a necessary entity.
the big bang occurred around 14billion years ago. by definition 14billion years is infinitesimally small on an infinite time scale , even if we say time started at the big bang. so our our life and the life of the universe is so small it cannot exist.
Hawking said creating negative and positive, but man and woman is not created by such logic. And this topic mentioned about where is God from? God is existing from the beginning when there is no logic. And every life and matter are created by God.
Thanks for discussing these notions. People generally believe that belief in God is contrary to science. In fact, it is the most logical conclusion. There is a starting point for everything. It does not matter what religion you belong to, the fact is that God is a deity that exists and is uncreated. Even if someone does not believe in any particular religion, he / she will definitely reach this unavoidable conclusion. It's all about thinking without bias.
false. Belief in any god is illogical. No proof or evidence for any of them. Also false...you don't know if there's a starting point for everything. Thts an assertion you've made with no proof or evidence of being true. The universe could be very well infinite...you or I don't know tht. This guy in the video saying before the big bang there was nothing isn't even scientific. Science doesn't even say there was "nothing". science and God co-exist in my beliefs there's no conflict in my interpretations. I believe in an old earth and a expanding universe as the bible suggests " he spreads out the heavens like a tent" and the water cycle long before science discovered it. Its not a science textbook and it wasn't meant to be. Science believes that life began in our seas and the bible agrees with that, sea creatures were created on day 5 before other creatures man was created last after land animals on day 6.
It is a strange thing that no one has control over the universe, even if there were other universes. A powerful and resourceful being would not emerge from a another universe and become intelligent, resourceful, and resourceful to the point of learning how to control universes and times, learning how to create new universes, and learning technologies above everything we can imagine and have perfect biology. It gives him the possibility to live forever. The idea that our universe is out first and only one and there is not successful beings that overcome the nature of everything still confuses me. Or maybe becuse God gave us these perfect conditions and all of this is not luck.
Here some questions is arising that who or what was the cause of Big bang theory or what was there before these universe or God? Even if we accept that there is god but there's a lot of religions and beliefs how can we prove that these religion is correct?

In God’s perspective He created everthing in 6 days in his own time. In Einstein’s theory of relativity time depends in the observer in two individuals and can be different if one is at motion. So his 6 days of creation in the bible can be a billion of years to us. We haven't seen him? He created us in his image. That's why we haven't seen him. He is Spirit. He is all of the universe. All things good he made. It is the design that evolves and creates all things in the universe. Millions and millions of years ago. Heavens is all good worlds and other things he made in the universe. Spirit is GOD and he is the spirit of the universe. He created beings. He called Angels. First was Jesus and Angels and Lucifer. As all particles and atoms and all things of life we're all connected through the entire universe as the one conscious of GOD. GoD made Jesus as a being, so Jesus can be able to experience more through connection to GOD. Think of it like. Charles Xavier and he uses the Cerebro. Able to connect to all life and see everything. That's an example of GOD of the whole universe. Prior to Sin. Jesus was in the kingdom. A world from millions of years advanced than us. The Language we use is The Universe. Atoms. Molecules. Cells. The Language of GOD, is The Universe and connection to all things to design life. Spirit is the very energy that gives life. We don't call it spirit. We call it DNA. Prior to Sin, Lucifer. They were perfect beings. Angels. The Angels with Wings are Arch Angels. Michael and Gabriel, higher rank beings. We call our selves. Humans. But to GOD we are limited beings. After Sin, As Lucifer conquered a third of the stars. Millions of years. Beings went their own ways and became limited due to their disbelief of GOD as the Universe. He got Jesus to come to Earth to tell us there is a better world. Spirit of Spirit is eternal source to eternal life and a perfect being. But without staying connected to him. We will die. Have to use our own ways to keep energy in our bodies, food and water and stay in good health. After millions of years. Sin, Lucifer damaged the world's. As GOD no longer controls the disconnected worlds fully. So all things went on their own way. Evolved on their own and became other living things, with the effect of Lucifer and his demons. and as well as.ppl living in bodies limited and have and need water and food and clean from bacteria. Example: We have to plug our phones to keep it alive. The battery to charge up again. That's limited. Not having faith to GOD. GOD gives infinite energy to the phones. "Spirit" God had talked to few ppl in the old testament. Those who has true faith in him. He then gave Jesus as a way to be forgiven and saved. A chance to be retired in the heavens. So all life that didn't follow GOD in the old testament all that died, stayed dead, Soul to rest eternally of Hell if a real sinner. Or raring place waiting to be judged. New Testament Jesus gave them a chance to be restored. Like 16: 19-31. So yes, other world has visited us. And they not visit us again.
God was needed for the universe to be created, not believing in God is not logical, it’s foolishness, because if i had no idea what a phone was and I stumbled on to one, and after examining it I discover that everything is intentional to function properly, the most logical conclusion has to be that there’s a mind behind it, you can’t acknowledge a creation and not acknowledge the creator, if you read the Bible you’ll discover that God is neither limited by time nor, a thousand years is like a day and a day is like a thousands years, all I know is that when we all die we’ll discover the truth, and I’m not risking eternity for a 100 year, if i believe in God, die and it ends up there’s nothing after death, it’s better than not believing, dying and ending up in hell
According to Christianity there is no difference between a non-believer and someone who believes in some other God, both are going to hell. From that perspective, how is it better to choose to believe? The reality is that religious people are really not all that different from us non-believers. We can sit down and agree that thousands of Gods aren't real, it's only one that most people on the planet would disagree with me on. Also, there's a lot of irony in your phone analogy. Religion quite clearly has the fingerprints of humanity, created by us for us. We live on one planet, in one solar system, in one galaxy, in a universe so vast we can't fully grasp it, and yet we still find ways to tell ourselves we're at the center of it. How foolish.
@@ESFoxwell We know almost nothing, Foxwell. It is equally foolish to say there is nothing to spiritual truth, as it is to reduce the breadth of reality to a narrow religious philosophy. Since you are in the non-religious mindset. Let's say for one moment that there actually was something out there with sovereignty - and the way that force works is very strange. Would you be willing to search for it yourself? If you go looking, you will find out there is something working among men. What it is I cannot tell you. But I see it, and have experienced it, in a way that creates good (despite the odds in favor of chaos). And you won't know it unless you actually want to. So I encourage you to explore, use your brain, your heart, and think. Test it for yourself and see what happens. What is the worst that could happen to you? That you would learn nothing in the process.
@@freznelite I'm all for searching for spiritual truths, I just expect the same standards as any other claim. Make a hypothesis based on your observations, test that hypothesis, and examine the results. "Feelings" and "personal experiences" open a Pandora's box of charlatans. We have to rely on what we can observe AND authenticate. People of the religious mindset struggle with that second part, in my personal experience.
@@ESFoxwell What you are saying is correct. I also desire to be an "objective" witness to clear and unquestionable events. Unfortunately, there is no single test you can apply for any spiritual concept. There isn't one test that proves there is a God without a shadow of a doubt, or that He knows you, or even cares. But it seems to me that spiritual truth is something that is revealed personally, rarely being objectively true to others (but you can know it is true within yourself). If you are dealing with an intelligence greater than yourself, which has something for your life, then it is expedient that you respond, and it is expedient that you ask something from it. If you could ask for anything from such an intelligence, what would it be? Just try doing so consistently for a few years. Perhaps even less. Whatever happens, make of it as you wish, you will think of it as a tremendous blessing or a great curse. Herein lies the power of choice. Many things you cannot choose to happen, so you will ride as a willing participant or a stubborn objector. I have been both in my life. Could it be that the way we choose to interpret our experiences makes us irredeemably blind to objective reality? Yes, such is the nature of human consciousness. Yet I can tell you, in good conscience, something invisible has protected me (even physically), guided me, showed me things that I otherwise would not have known. This is more along the lines of spiritual experience rather than a purely physical operation. One could argue it was all just coincidence, but I have to admit these kind of things happen too often and they tie together, creating new understanding and appreciation... almost like a "somebody" planned it that way. My plans have been foiled, and to my great surprise they have been replaced with something better. For me to not have faith after those experiences would be illogical. And I cannot convince you of my experiences even if I tried! It is not on a tape recorder. And it is not by men or by our own reasoning we will arrive at this understanding, but by a gift. May we prepare ourselves to receive that gift! This is very different than the scientific process. But somehow no less valid for the individual. So to our friends who are doggedly religious, perhaps they ought to be shaken up, and honestly start looking for what is real. And for those who insist on manifestation, may that which is greater than us release the cords of doubt that bind, and may we honestly start looking for what is real in life. I challenge you to try! And keep trying!
The question assumes that there was a place for it to come from. And that problem is infinite because even if you had an answer, the question remains. It's not a question of why or how it simply is.
If any God or religion keeps people in check, then by all means let's do it. "Treat people the way you want them to treat you" has worked for me and my family (plus I don't have to donate money), however I'm not going to push it anybody.

These answers came from the mind of Man called science. However there are things beyond our understanding. Unexplained phenomena that seems to defy logic. Things like feelings and emotions. Thought. Life and death. Good and evil. These concepts are what Professor Hawking wonder about.
I am agreeing to your status of saying we do not know many things or maybe there is God it may but certainly it is not that god what we people and several religion portrays and fights over.
Where it all started, there is God. Man cannot define God because we are inside the thing God created. With no external observation place, we cannot accurately explain creation, ie creation of matter, creation of the universe, and creation of life. As we define the laws of nature and origin our universe we can only drill down to a point where it is guessing. Beyond that point is a realm of knowledge and existence only known by God.

@@chaschoune You cannot evolve even a single gene randomly from scratch. Do the math. The creation of life, and the evolution of life, is either guided or obeys some other law which eliminates almost all of the randomness. Life evolves over time, and we witness this progression, but I am telling you, there is not enough time nor material in this Universe to evolve one new gene randomly.
@@freznelite Nobody said that a single gene can randomly evolve from scratch. Millions of years is an incommensurate amount of time and your incredulity is not an argument.
@@chaschoune So you are agreeing the formation of life is not random? If so, then I would encourage you to accept the following facts: 1. Life itself requires a Design File, which is executed in the form of genetic code. 2. The Design File for the theoretical minimum viable organism is roughly 250 genes, averaging 1000 base pairs each. 3. The Design File did not happen by chance (i.e. as the result of a purely random process). How do you propose such a large Design File could have arisen? Show me which mathematical / chemical / physical / biological law, that creates such a design file from scratch, and I will believe it could have happened through natural processes in this world alone. A complex design file implies Intent. Intent implies Intelligence. Intelligence implies a lot of things. Show me how a complex design file does not require intent. And if you still think time is the explanation, let me tell you, 100 trillion years is not enough time for a trillion trillion organisms each with a genome the size of an ocean to evolve even one brand new gene purely randomly. Let us calculate the probability of doing so. One of the simplest viral RNA sequences is only 400 base pairs long (and represents a very poor ribosomal molecule). Let's say this is all you need to build one new functional gene. Let there be a trillion trillion genomes, each of which contain a genetic code that weighs as much as the Earth's ocean (1.4E24 kg ocean, 110 DA per amino acid, yielding 7.7E45 amino acids per genome). Let the entire sequence of these amino acids be combined into a single chain, giving the highest possibility of forming at least one correct sequence in each chain. Let these massive organisms randomly recombine their sequence of amino acids at a rate of a million times per second for 100 trillion years (until the last star dies). You are left with approximately 7.7E89 total combinations across this period. Now, let us set up the odds of assembling one new, correct sequence. The odds that an event occurs can be approximated as one minus the odds the event does not occur after a given number of trials. Let the probability that we get at least one sequence of these particular 400 base pairs in this situation be: P = 1 - (1 - 1/(4^400)) ^ 7.7E89. Compute this formula in Wolfram Alpha to see what the odds are of randomly evolving one new gene from a trillion trillion ocean-sized genomes after 100 trillion years. The best example we have of evolution is viral. Viruses steal genetic code from their hosts. Sometimes they create new genes in a semi-random fashion through recombination of existing code, copy defects, and even radiation defects. But they are not building entirely new genes from scratch (i.e. a brand new 400 base pair gene) without pulling this from their host's genetic code. So they are able to adopt genetic code, and evolve by attacking their hosts, but they are not able to synthesize a purely random new gene.

"SOH-lar did come from the mountain with his sword... but LOO-nar met his fury with her shield and a great battle blah blah blah" :)
TL-DR; When the ear can pick up that the narrator has only ever read a word, and not heard it, this knowledge can accidentally trip a subconscious BS detector in some humans. (Heck. Maybe it's just a TTS engine that fooled me into thinking it was a person.)
This video touches on complex topics that intersect science and philosophy, two different domains with divergent methods for approaching truth. I wanted to provide some perspectives on the issues raised:
- Stephen Hawking did not attempt to disprove God using scientific theories.
There is no contradiction between science and metaphysics. They may complement each other...thats all..

It's very simple
God by definition is uncreated, anything that is created is not God
God is beyond time and space
If God was created that'd suggest that something existed before God
But since there's no "before" and "after" for God, it doesn't make sense to say someone created Him
Just because science cannot prove the existence or non-existence of God, doesn’t mean he is real or unreal.
It's because we know how the universe works we say there for an intelligent mind a creator had to have been behind it
You can never remove God from the equation. Well who created the big bang, the vast universe, and most importantly the human beings. I feel sorry for Steven Hawkins he was a great man who endured tremendous suffering. I truly believe he is with our holy father providing him comfort. God is all powerful he could create the universe as quickly as he wanted to. How does Steve Hawkins know that God didn't have enough time to create the universe!!!!

Our God is a Mighty God , he lives in a dimension Greater than ours. He has always existed - he has no beginning and no ending!
Glory to God 🙌
The crisis today is that educators are introducing ideas that call good evil and evil good, leading to darkness. Darwinian ideologies are the foundation educators use to diminish God's word. “Axis of Beginning” is a play that can be read as a story and experienced as a stage performance to help support and educate young adults about God's creation.

When hawking said time wasn't there before singularity itself contradicts the statement about denial of existence of time. It meams there is some period between singularity and big bang
I saw a video once saying:
"An Artists with a drawing, the Artist dies but the drawing remains, and there is evidence that he existed, Builder with a Building, the Builder dies, the Building stays there giving evidence for the Builder existing before he died, God, creator, we cant see him we dont know what happened really, but his creation remains. The World, the People, the Universe, everything was created by a creator."
Ok, answer a question then:
Everything in this universe is because of change of form of energy or conversion of energy from matter to energy or vice versa.
However. The Vatican Does have a telescope/observatory.

What happens when all matters return to their original state?
The physics of the universe determine our behavior, including the persistent illusion that we have free will.
This means only 20,000 non-thinking, non-directed, unintelligent proteins gives rise to:
30 trillion cells and their relationships between each other
Over 200 differentiated cell types
The shape of 200 bones and joints
The distinct formation and regulatory mechanisms for 79 vital organs
The positions and plumbing for 800 lymphatic nodes
The positions and plumbing for 10 billion capillary tubes, plus feed and return paths to every organ and tissue
The location and wiring for 20 million neurons, which produce spatial coherence and sensation
The wiring of 100 billion neurons, plus 100 trillion axons, which produces a neurally elastic structure, capable of stable change, and of course results in consciousness (the machinery / house of the soul)
The immune system, capable of fighting any disease given enough time
The reproductive system, capable of building entirely new units from only two cells
There is no way 20,000 protein chunks is going to explicitly code for all of that. Instead, we see implicit design through some minimal amount of information. This is fine tuning beyond the theoretical conception. Look, the Universe is so finely tuned to produce coherence, even consciousness, that it “accidentally” made you. Haha yeah right! If you weren’t an accident, then your consciousness can’t be either.
@@TheShinedownfan21 I don't get how it works on a psychological level. Can you give an example of decision-making that we mistakenly consider free will but in fact it isn't?

The so-called individual self is just a bystander in all this, not even a real entity but an illusion projected by the thought process.
If natural laws created order from chaos, and humanity, who have intent, how much harder is it to believe a supernatural law, the fundamental law, from which physical reality projects, could produce order and intent? And if it is indeed true, then why not explore it? Tell me the last time we learned something new about the truth and had less questions because of it. You will find such thinking is a property of a dogmatic / religious mentality!
@@ESFoxwell The universe may not be full of intent, that is until you look at life itself. If astronauts were to discover a pile of rocks on the moon vaguely representing the message “HELLO HUMANS,” they could assume such a message was either left there randomly or intentionally. Indeed, the odds of rocks from a nearby volcano landing in that particular arrangement (assuming they are within a 5x46 grid, yielding an odds of about 1/2^(5x46)=1.8E-69 chance) which is still about 3.7E171 times more likely to occur than a single RNA gene arising spontaneously. Just because an ordered design is “naturally occurring” and microscopic does not make an unintentional, or causal, process an appealing solution. What I’m saying is, if you found that message on the moon, what would you believe? Are you in the “natural causes” camp? Not just any arrangement will do.

And keep trying!
where tf does that particle before the big bang come from tho
The question assumes that there was a place for it to come from. And that problem is infinite because even if you had an answer, the question remains. It's not a question of why or how it simply is.
What is the possible goal of nature. IS IT TO UNDERSTAND ITSELF?
Is there even a goal?
The big bang sent soooo much recourses- wow ❤
Big bangs usually produce trouble.
But that time it was different. ❤❤❤

Then where did people come from

I am sorry for Hawkings to say this, with his distorted look, he would not find a *fine mind* who brought His creation to perfection
It's quite simple. God was created by mankind not the other way around
These answers came from the mind of Man called science. However there are things beyond our understanding. Unexplained phenomena that seems to defy logic. Things like feelings and emotions. Thought. Life and death. Good and evil. These concepts are what Professor Hawking wonder about.

Do you believe in the santa and the tooth fairy too?
Hello Homo Sapiens are you high up or way way down and being ok for that.
God is a delusion
Where it all started, there is God. Man cannot define God because we are inside the thing God created. With no external observation place, we cannot accurately explain creation, ie creation of matter, creation of the universe, and creation of life. As we define the laws of nature and origin our universe we can only drill down to a point where it is guessing. Beyond that point is a realm of knowledge and existence only known by God.
The pope had said the Earth was flat and the sun revolved around the earth, Bruno a genius said the Earth was round and revolved around the sun and the Catholics tortured, burned him alive
The energy was dispersed by the Big Bang, then the energy embellished itself so much, the sun, the moon, the stars, the earth, the sea, the river, the flowers, the plants, the grains, the girls, the boys, the love, the lovers, everything should b ok,how special we are.😊
If you truly have any intelligence than you will realize there is a grand architect of the universe and life
Those saying have u ever seen God are very rediculous, the eyes you are using to see the world have ever seen it before? I know some people will say yes, because they used mirror, but seeing ur eyes thru mirror doesn't really mean seeing it

There is no point in debating whether God exists or not. It is more than obvious that God exists. You don't need to have many studies to come to the conclusion that everything that exists has an intelligent mind behind it . Ignoring the existence of God because I don't like and don't want life to have a Creator is the same thing as ignoring his human existence . The whole universe , our solar system , the planet earth and everything that exists in show clearly , very clearly that God exist .

If so, then I would encourage you to accept the following facts:
Even nothing has to come from something no matter what god is real 🖤
Nothing by definition doesn't come from anywhere.
Where did zillions of tons of mass come from? And different types of mass.
