Yeah , the point is not that he's completely all cool in everything but that he's simply dominating in his life whether someone likes him or not , and that's kinda cool by itself lol .
The Tobey movies were made at a time where they were simply trying to tell a good story with a film that happened to be about a superhero. Whereas Tom’s and Andrew’s are held back by the attempts to build a larger universe and narrative rather than focusing on an individual story. Tom’s Spider-Man was essentially a sidekick to Ironman in the MCU and Andrew was definitely his own hero but the studio wanted to build its own Spider-Man universe because the interconnected storyline thing was a fresh trend at the time. The Toby films aren’t classics because of nostalgia or being the first superhero movies, they’re classics because they’re great movies that happen to tell the story of a superhero.
I think the idea behind peter dancing and walking funny in the street is illustrating what happens when a mild-mannered geek, who has never (and clearly will never) be cool, becomes corrupted with ego and pride. In my opinion, it's not necessarily about whether WE think Peter looks cool. It's about showcasing the fact that this Peter does not care whether we think he's cool or not. HE thinks he looks cool, which is sort of the symbiote story in a nutshell.
it isnt that big of a deal. theyre obv not trying to make him look cool, just look at the reaction of the girls, i couldnt believe how you and the reactors dont get that
@@marvin6936 What are you talking about? Read my comment again cuz I think you may be confused on my stance. What’s important is the fact that he doesn’t care whether we (or the girls on the street) think he’s cool or not. HE thinks he looks cool, as I said previously.
I think simply dominating at life is kinda cool whether someone likes you or not , not saying the bad stuff he does is also cool but you know , power feels cool .

Tobey's spiderman was supposed to be the spider man in the Avengers. But Sony and Marvel couldn't cooperate. Iron Man 1 has deleted scene refering to Spider Man. Iron Man 2 was supposed to make reference Doc Ock using part of Stark Industry tech. Hulk was supposed to have a Spider Man cameo when Bruce enters the university. Etc etc. You can research

Just because an 8/10 is lesser than two 10/10s, that doesn't make it a bad movie by any stretch. Was it compromised by behind the scenes issues and studio interference? Absolutely. But the fact that Sam Raimi was still able to pull off THIS GOOD of a movie IN SPITE of all that is nothing short of spectacular. Also, as someone who was never a big fan of Venom from the the comics, this is easily my favorite iteration of him.
1:21 Every Spider-Man movie is made by Marvel in some way. Every single Marvel is based on the Marvel comic books of the same name. Every superhero under the Marvel movie banner originates from Marvel comics. Back in the late 90’s Marvel fell into bankruptcy due to poor sales, so in order to reclaim their loses, they sold their most popular character rights to different movie studios. Blade went to New Line Cinema, X-Men, Daredevil, and Fantastic Four went to 20th Century Fox, Hulk and Punisher went to Universal Studios, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America went to Paramount Pictures, and Ghost Rider and Spider-Man went to Columbia. Any Marvel that says just “Marvel” at the beginning instead of “Marvel Studios” exists in its own universe.
“I’ve never seen a worse person try to walk and look cool in my life”…. That’s the point of the walking scene lol Peter’s a nerd; this is what Peter thinks cool is. It’s embarrassing
Allowing the main character in a kids film to not be perfect, for you to learn from their mistakes (and there’s a lot of them) instead of their actions was thin ice to walk on at the time of release. Nobody had really done it yet. So when the movie came out and there was scenes that had Peter doing cringe stuff thinking that he was cool, cheating, and literal domestic violence, the critics first thought was “WOAH WTF Don’t promote this to our kids. What the hell did they do to spider man”
Childhood nostalgia. RIP Stan Lee as it was great to see his cameo🙏🙏. Spider-Man 3 by Sam Raimi is great in its own way🔥. I loved the Black-Suit Spider-Man and the design of it. Tobey Maguire dancing in the streets and his scene in the jazz club is greatest moment in Spider-Man history👏👏😂. JK Simons is my favorite character in the entire trilogy. I enjoyed the subway fight scene between the black-suit Spider-Man and Sandman. It was great to see Peter forgive Marko aka “Sandman” in the end. Aunt May is the real superhero for me in this entire trilogy as she’s always there for Peter. Loved your reaction/analysis, take care, stay healthy, enjoy life and have a good one❤️
My ranking is definitely the same as hers, Toby ones number 1, Garfield 2, Holland 3. I understand that the MCU version wanted to be different and utilize their universe to make them unique compared to other Spider-Man movies and that's fair, but they definitely do feel a lot more lighthearted and less serious just because of the overall tone, it feels very young teen oriented sometimes reminded me of like a kidcom on Disney or Nick with the approach.
Straight up, Holland got that Sitcom laugh track feel, especially ADDING ZENDEYA. C'mon now she got famous FROM Disney 😂😂😂😂 I get it tho, Disney utilized a past experienced actress However Tobey's movies come off as Preteen....going into young adult hood. Hollands is just kids going into teenage years.
These three are head and shoulders above the others! Then it's Andrew Garfield's Spiderman! I have to agree with the argument that Tom Holland's Spiderman is too childish, he just comes across as being a bit too wet for a superhero! I will admit though, that his Spiderman was the hardest to pull off, because of everything that surrounds it. That is a valid argument.
i dont think you guys realize that the parts you guys thought were funny and you thought were not supposed t or be ARE SUPPOSED TO BE , peter dancing and trying to act cool is supposed to look dumb because peter is a nerd and what he would think looks cool wouldnt actually be cool so he looks funny also the you are good woman i m good man was also suppose to be a joke thats the point of why it was so dumb that he would say that.

You get a glimpse of Peter’s true power when he punches Marko in the face. If he wasn’t made out of sand his skull would be exposed from one punch. Oh and his dance was SUPPOSE to look cringey because he’s a dork acting cool, look at the people disgusted by him lol
Earlier he straight up punched through him and swiped his legs off even without the symbiote suit . And that still doesn't exactly show how strong he is , you gotta dig in all the details and other feats for that . This spiderman is like the strongest base version up there with 616 .
Great movie, just tried to do a little too much, Venom wasn’t supposed to show up until next movie but the director was told there would only be 3 so he combined them and it honestly came out way better than it should’ve
Yeah Sony DID NOT want to give Raimi more money or keep the lights on😂😂😂they just said u make goood movies or movies with good audience reaction.....we dont want to flesh out a long narrative.... only 3
All 3 Movies In theaters were sooo epiccc!! Next movie yall need to check out that deals with LA and gangs is " Blood in Blood out " it's a fire movie 🎬
Post original trilogy they mess up big time by not sticking to the same universe as in the first 3. Tarnishes the impact and character development from the first movies by tapping into totally other story arcs.
@porkypile I'm not a comic book fan, so I don't know what lore is supposed to be with X-men, but as films, although many of them contradict one another I still enjoyed them & think they are worth watching.
Exactly I remember watching the Toby and harry scene on good morning America when I was 8 and that shit got me excited as a kid still lived up to the teaser then
Idk if yall realized but Peter’s teacher is the lizard too. The same Connors from Andrew’s movie is this one. He just hadn’t become the lizard yet. But it’ll never happen. Oh yeah, the venom symbiote keeps whatever it gains from the host. Spider-Man being its favorite host, it kept a lot of his essence. Eddie already being an A-hole and a shady person, it just made him an even more vicious spiderman.
To me this is the weaker one of the three films, but I still enjoy it anyway mostly because of nostalgia (I watched it in theaters) I am happy you guys genuinely enjoyed it compared to other channels that usually just express dislike. Lol
Sophie you're right and I got the same ranking (although I do prefer Andrew's spider-man personality in costume than Tobey's, if you combined both of them you'd get the ultimate Peter in my opinion lol). Tom Holland even in his last movie as a senior in high school was still extremely childish, as if he learned nothing from all the prior movies he was in before No Way Home, like you he went through all that with Thanos and was still willing to mess up the timeline, putting people's lives at risk, just because his friends didn't get into their preferred college...just let them go to community college and transfer, it's not the end of the world. Even worse when compared to Tobey's first Spider-man movie where his Peter was a senior in high school as well. In both those films they had the quote "with great power comes great responsibility" and the message hits way harder coming from uncle Ben. He had less screen time yet his death was way more impactful than Tom Holland's aunt May, despite her being in 3+ films because Disney preferred to have her there as the "hot aunt" for laughs than give her good dialogue to help develop her character and her relationship with Peter. Harry Osborn as the bestie > basic ass Ned all day. And these are just a few of examples, still way more issues where Tom Holland's movies dropped the ball.
Definitely hit the target 🎯 I feel like that's the Narrative that Spider-Man Fans have been having and running with............. Tom Holland reset everything he "learned" from Infinity War in No Way Home....... 58:46 W Sophie L Mair ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yes this movie is made by marvel but not Disney This was before the mcu which is like the avengers and iron man and stuff. Spiderman trilogy was made by marvel Sony

Disney marvel didn't have anything to do with trilogy, or the amazing Spider-Man series. They didn't let Disney marvel deal with Spiderman until Captain America civil war, and then Spiderman homecoming
I agree with Sophie this the better trilogy. He had no help and a basic suit. The other movies they had better suits and help. Tom Holland had suit upgrades and had the avengers help.
Yeah that's basically been the narrative from the fans as soon as Tom Hollands first spiderman movie dropped Especially in the second one where Iron Man saved the ships 🚢. This dude, Mair tryna gaslight her HEAVY
I think they've seen all of them. They've definitely seen NWH, which is pretty sad considering that they would've enjoyed it way more after this trilogy
Spiderman is a marvel character, but sometime in the early to late 90s they were going bankrupt and licensed some of their characters to other companies, 20th Century Fox, And Sony as far as i know. spiderman was one of those characters, Sony made these spiderman movies and by the 3rd ones release Marvel was making Iron Man and their own cinematic universe (The MCU).
I’m actually curious. What made people hate on this movie? The only thing I can thing of is Mary Jane throughout the movie but I thought they did everything else right for the most part.
Iron man was the first “marvel movie” any marvel movie before iron man is not technically part of the mcu. That changes a tad with the newest Spider-Man movie but still anything before iron man isn’t part of the mcu
I really do not understand what makes the Tom Holland Homecoming one so great. I thought thought it was super bland and shallow. The humor felt like a Nickelodeon sitcom (which I like but it's just not Spiderman to me) And I just didn't find the plot it interacted except maybe rhe twist which was the moat interesting part but it didn't last. :S (No offense to fans of it)
hey, can you guys watch the amazing spider-man movies & the mcu spiderman movies. also, no. Sony made these spiderman movies as well as the amazing spiderman movies. These movies only just became canon to the mcu but this universe & the amazing spiderman universe are 2 different universes than the mcu spiderman.
The general consensus is that this wasn't up to the standard of the other two, which is true, but personally, I think it depends how you look at it! The only reason it's perceived this way, is because the other two are just that good! The bottom line is, it holds up as a trilogy, which is extremely rare! Think about it, how many truly great trilogies are there? Lord of the rings? John Wick? The original Starwars? Back to the future? Indiana Jones? That's pretty much it! To show how hard it is to pull off, think of those that didn't! The Godfather? Alien? Even The Terminator couldn't do it! All time classics for the first two, but very poor third installments! These days we're lucky to even get a great movie period, never mind a trilogy! I suspect more and more people are starting to appreciate movies from the past, which didn't receive the credit they deserved when first released! We really didn't appreciate what we had back then, we were spoiled for choice. All we have now are cash grab remakes and sequels nobody asked for, and generic PC garbage being pumped out on an assembly line!
Shoulda done this reaction without the girl, not saying she was annoying, for the most part of yall reactions she is my favorite for the most part, but specifically for this movie ... NO Mj is for the streets she dated spidermans bestfriend, then got married just to make peter jealous then tries to kiss peter while shes engaged... AND she dated flash, but no matter how much peices of info you give her to conclude that she always says "shes going through a hard time right now" come on now..
This was GARBAGE when it dropped, however AFTER seeing tASm 1&2 man I gotta give Raimi props for making good acting scenes for what he got permission from Sony Idk The Amazing Spiderman 2, I hated it, but loved how they had THE NERVE to k1ll Gwen which hurt but would give more growth to the character. Both Spiderman and Peter Parker...... But this movie got mixed feelings, for me it's garbage cuz too many things going on which 3 villains.nnone of which felt fleshed out........but the looks were cool. Sandman was super cool, iconic outfit and great casting.
Guys Sam wanted Sandman and Harry Osborne is the new Goblin but stupid Avi Arad ruined it he interfered Sam vision put Venom in because if he wanted fans to like Spider-Man 3 even more put in our favorite character Venom but Sam doesn't know Venom and he said something like he tried to make it work it didn't go well Sam was unhappy how he made Spider-Man 3 and he decided not to make Spider-Man 4 2011 If Sam just had creative control with Spider-Man 3 like he did with the first and second it would have been awesome then Sam would have made Spider-Man 4 2011
The way Peter acts wasn't supposed to be cool.
It's just what Peter thinks is cool cos in reality Peter is a dork.
Exactly. I think there are alot of people who don't really understand that. Good comment 👍

:S (No offense to fans of it)
You guys are missing the specific movie number on the title of the video, and it's confusing! Please put Spider-Man 3 and 2 on those titles.
Tobey's spiderman is a savage he was like I killed the wrong mf this mf must die (sandman). I know he didn't really kill the 1st dude he somewhat did
No way y’all skipped y’all reaction to the where am I part

I think she’s referring to the Tom holland movies
I love this movie
Also i hope you get around to watching kenobi
That series is a shit-fest and as pathetic as ep's 7-9
why they cutting out all the good scenes
hey, can you guys watch the amazing spider-man movies & the mcu spiderman movies.
also, no. Sony made these spiderman movies as well as the amazing spiderman movies. These movies only just became canon to the mcu but this universe & the amazing spiderman universe are 2 different universes than the mcu spiderman.
we see you, not you us
The general consensus is that this wasn't up to the standard of the other two, which is true, but personally, I think it depends how you look at it!
Nice coconuts
Ok he’s half blind he can still see
Of course you should cash in on the Marvel train
Shoulda done this reaction without the girl, not saying she was annoying, for the most part of yall reactions she is my favorite for the most part, but specifically for this movie ... NO Mj is for the streets she dated spidermans bestfriend, then got married just to make peter jealous then tries to kiss peter while shes engaged... AND she dated flash, but no matter how much peices of info you give her to conclude that she always says "shes going through a hard time right now" come on now..
The dude is really annoying, you’re completely right Sophie and he’s gaslighting you 🙄
Tobbie Maguire spidy movies much more better then Garfield and Tom Holland.
Bro is spoiling everything before it happends
Its tobey, Andrew and tom
This was GARBAGE when it dropped, however AFTER seeing tASm 1&2 man I gotta give Raimi props for making good acting scenes for what he got permission from Sony
Idk The Amazing Spiderman 2, I hated it, but loved how they had THE NERVE to k1ll Gwen which hurt but would give more growth to the character.
