      @@user-oy9zy4ds9m If you ever read the comics, you’d know that it is a key point of his character (His belief in heroes.) Jamieson believes More in firefighters and police officers who don’t need to wear masks to be heroes. Or his son who served in the army and then went to NASA. Until his identity was revealed to Jonah Jameson he didn’t understand Parker’s need for a mask. But even in the comics he protected Peter. As well in a couple animated shows they showed as well. The spectacular Spider-Man cartoon: when rhino came charging into the Bugle to do the same thing as green goblin in the movie. Glad you guys are starting this now. Too many reactors that are doing MCU get to the newer Spider-Man movies, and then all the sudden there comes a point where knowing the previous Spider-Man movies becomes essential. And then they are having to delay all their other reactions in order to catch up. I would highly recommend you also try to do this with X-Men and the first season of Daredevil. Some people will also suggest watching Venom movie and The Punisher series as well. But those aren't as important yet, and I think would be a little overwhelming.

    • @reynaldolorenzo8409
      @reynaldolorenzo8409 Год назад +1

      Tom is more accurate than Tobey, the only aspect that Tobey is better is that his first two movies captured the aspect of responsibility better than Holland’s movies but that has nothing to do with the actors, it’s the writing so speaking only from the character no one is more accurate than Holland.
      Peter gets bitten when he is 15yrs old and starts as a kid, sound familiar? Only Tom Holland is accurate in the age, only one that looked age appropriate and had a real teen personality.
      He created his suit, the web formula and the web shooters.
      He is the only one that capture Peter and Spider-Man while Tobey and Andrew didn’t. Holland is able to harness the same energy when it comes to being Peter as well as Spiderman. When I see his version of Peter being Spiderman it is still recognizably Peter. Neither Maguire nor Garfield were quite able to capture both sides of the webhead. They played Peter or Spiderman but never did it feel like they were playing Peter as Spiderman or Spiderman as Peter. They lacked cohesion with the two sides of the character. He perfectly embodies the awkwardness and wit of Peter Parker and the quippiness and confidence of Spider-Man. Unlike the others, he is good in both fields.
      Tom is not the best representation of main universe Peter, but I'd say he's the best representation of Ultimate's Peter; a witty, thoughtful, optimistic kid who has had Tony as a mentor and who is still just that a kid.
      When it comes down to one of the core aspects of Spider-Man: responsibility, I’d say Tobey Maguire first two movies wins but as the character Tom Holland is the best.

    • @bt3519
      @bt3519 Год назад

      @Reynaldo Lorenzo You just said he's the best representation of ultimate Spider-Man. That's great but that's not what im talking about lol. Yes there's a million different versions of every superhero. But in this case, I'm talking about the original Spider-Man comics. Not ultimate Spider-Man.
      Spider-Man is bit at a young age yes, but in the original comics, he grows up to a young adult very quickly. Idk why everyone thinks he stays 15 forever lol. Most of the comics he's out of HS already.
      Peter isn't Tony's buddy. They're 2 opposite people. He doesn't get all his suits made for him, and he's not Tony's sidekick. Toms Peter relies WAY too much on Tony's suits than his own powers. Peter isn't obsessed with becoming an Avenger.
      Peter also isn't a massive screw up. In all 3 of Toms movies, he's basically the bad guy lol. He's the reason bad stuff happens. Not the villains.
      Most importantly, Peters life is supposed to be shit. But Toms Peter has a pretty good life. Peters not supposed to make it to work, failing class. Can't keep relationships, friends are even disappointed in him. This is not the case for Tom. Despite his numerous screw ups, everything works out for him (except the very end of NWH).
      And other things, Aunt May isn't supposed to be young and "hot". Ned? Where's Harry? Michelle Jones? Where's Marry Jane?
      I like all 3 Spider-Men. I like Tom. But if you've read the original comics, the closest portrayal to them is definitely Tobey.

The original teaser trailer (which you can still find online) has Spider-Man catching a helicopter with a giant spiderweb strung between the two towers. They also added in the sequence of the New Yorkers coming together to yell and throw stuff at the Green Goblin during the fight at the bridge scene, to show NYC solidarity. The true OG SPIDERMAN movies were from the 1970s. They were a TV Pilot and a Series Finale. Peter Parker was a student at a UNIVERSITY with BELL BOTTOMS on. There was also a Japanese TV SERIES where SPIDERMAN is an ALIEN.

    Okay, just to tell you, Spider-Man webs are not naturally coming out of his body in most itterations. Peter Parker usually makes webshooters that attach to his wrist. Showcases his skills in science and engineering. This trilogy is a bit different.

    Man some people like to play this down as cheesey, and yes it is in some parts. But MAN can it be BRUTAL too. When the bomb goes off right by Peter's face, taking off part of the mask. DAMN!

    Great reaction you two! 😊
    It's good that you both are watching the Tobey Maguire and hopefully the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies right now before you continue on with the MCU. Most reactors wait until the end of Phase 3 or so to catch up on those movies. They will become relevant at some point during the MCU.
    This one and the next one are my two favorites of the Tobey Maguire movies.
    Up next in the MCU: "Iron Man 2"
    Next up in the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy: "Spider-Man 2"
    Looking forward to the next reaction. 😊

    Fun fact: Spiders have little hairs on the ends of their feet that are made of hundreds of thousands of smaller hairs. These allow the spider to climb up walls and even cling to smooth surfaces like glass. That's what you see coming out of his fingers in the alleyway.
    I don't know if somebody could actually climb walls if they had them but the spider that bit Peter was genetically modified. Who knows what it was capable of besides giving spider powers.

    Spider-Man 2 is considered one of the best superhero movies ever made! That movie highlights Parker's strength as Spider-Man, and .... well, if I say anymore there would be spoilers. But just know that as good as this one is, the second one is even better! Great reactions! Vince, I think you are right about getting bit. I am sure that if someone in real life had seen the bite mark on their hand like that, and they were in a lab with a mutant spider on the loose, he would have called for help right away! Of course, the lab would have then caught the spider, seen the effects on Peter, contracted out to the military, created an army of spider soldiers instead of using the super serum (in Captain America)! OK, maybe it is better this way....
