I bought aluminum because I live in Texas and am not worried about salt. I don't have a drive by, it's not a very loud exhaust but has a nice low healthy throaty sound as you drive by especially because of the airaid intake in it.
yes! the mk2 should sound pretty similar to this set up. stock everything. if you want something that turns heads go a different route. I just didn't want a rice sound at high rpms like something a borla might give.

+The32694 I can't remember but I believe there are two resonator points. also the muffler sits behind the rear axle that's why the 80 series is so easy to use.. have no idea if the 11 runs the same way.
That or anything similar, I was able to cut it evenly and smoothly enough that I didn't really have to sand it down, If you look real close ya might see some sharp jagged edges.

+The32694 it's the generation of your car. off the top of my head.. mk2 is 2008-11 and the mk3 is 2012+

Dude, please, let me know, what is the diameter of the stock exhaust pipe , and the one you`re using.
should be 2.25inch stock. I used 2.5in to replace the old pipe. (from the muffler to the chrome tips)

Technically not even another pipe. Just another outlet from the muffler, it is primarily cosmetic.

all it was is stock sized pipe and the flowmaster 80 with some tips welded on. resonators and everything still on. i just wanted a subtle rumble.
