That’s an extraordinary rifle, just master craftsmanship. The 6.5x55 is my favorite caliber/ cartridge for decades. I have a sporterized m/94 Carl Gustaf Swedish Mauser made in 1917 with the full 29 inch barrel. Many have commented on the barrel length, but I find it greatly increases accuracy and velocity while absorbing what little recoil there is. I bought the rifle in 1974 for $50 and it remains the most accurate rifle I’ve ever shot. And due to LOTS of time at the range, I’m comfortable taking 400 yard shots on anything that walks, as there’s no flinching with the 6.5x55. Subscribed!

Gorgeous rifle. Love the caliber. I have a custom sporter Swede Carl Gustav Model 96 in 6.5x55 with a 1912 receiver date. Whoever did the work on my rifle was a top craftsman in his trade. It is ever bit as beautiful as yours (no hack job by Bubba is what I'm trying to say lol). Accuracy wise; still puts 3 touching at 100yds on most days but always under 1 MOA. My preferred load is the Federal 140gr Power Shok and the Nosler Trophy Grade 140gr Accubond and both list their velocities at 2650. This caliber is such a pleasure to shoot and front shoulder shot deer and hogs never take a step, they kick some but they are DRT. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your comments! I guess I'm not the only lucky one when it comes to this caliber and these rifles. Sounds like you have a nice rig as well.

Another great video, and beautiful rifle. That's what our hunting rifle growing up on the farm was chambered in, still have it today. I load for it, and we love to make that steel ring. I just wish i still had the 29" bbl like previous commenter.!
    Take care and stay blessed.

Thanks for your comments! Yes, it's a great all around cartridge for both hunting and target shooting. The 29" barrel would be great - it would almost reach the target. :)

I recently got a 2165 also, and the bolt belives its a Krag . Newly made civillian acrions they are or were and they are a very fine one that has much clever features .

    Hi
Does anyone have any info for Voere 2165 bolt disassembly . I have that rifle and kind of not certain whether I might damage it trying. No manual point how to do it. It would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your question. I have never disassembled the bolt on this rifle, I've had issues with the bolt shroud in the past so just left this one alone.

Its sad that american factory ammo is so weak. Compare it to Lapua and Norma in scandinavia they performs better then 6.5 CM and 260 Rem, due to the larger case capacity.
If you buy a modern rifle, say Rem 700 clone, Tikka T3 etc. you can load the swede to same pressures as modern 308 loads, to gain alot of performance.

Thanks for your comments! Lapua and Norma have always been known for their excellence in ammunition production - I certainly can't argue with that.
I am a reloader, so I can work with my loads to get great performance.
