I would personally prefer to see more enforcement of people using their indicators and or not cruising in the fast lane that could get rid of a lot of this
Left lane hogs cause most of the 'rage 'incidents I see. Follow someone in the left who isn't passing for miles, and a whole line of cars vie to move right and back again. Most states have laws to prevent camping in the left driving lane. Cracking down on left lane cruisers would stop a significant amount of 'rage'.
There is no such thing as a fast lane. There is only the speed limit, and a colloquial term that somehow made its way into law, despite its inaccuracy. But I do agree, more enforcement should be administered on the small things. Can't tell you how many times I've nearly been hit, because people run stop signs and say they were "stopping," when they were doing a California Maneuver.
@@takedown205productions6 “There is no such thing as a fast lane. “ We concur. Exactly the truth. I hope you realize how many bed wetters you will upset because you spoke the facts. After all, they have a “right” to speed. Excessive vehicle speed is one of the leading causes of accidents. But don't tell that to the passing lane bed wetters. As for traffic enforcement, it is nonexistent in Phoenix. Every day I travel down the same stretch of street with a posted limit of 40 mph. If you're not making 20 over, then you travel with life in hands. No turning/lane change signals. No stopping for red lights. Red light running, texting while driving. None of this seems to bother the “passing lane” bed wetters. Just get out of their way. After all, speeding is their god-given right......A god-given right to be the first at the next red light.

"Penalties for speeding need to be quadrupled, at least." Doesn't matter what the penalty for speeding is since such a small fraction of speeders get pulled over.
Nobody enforces speed limits unless you're into triple digits, even then it's iffy to see a racer get stopped. It's so bad many drivers claim you're "impeding traffic" if you're doing 0-5 over and they want to blast by doing 100+.
That's kind-of how the democratic process wants it to go down. All we'd need is a republic if people would choose to do what's right instead of letting ego, wealth or public perception guide their way. And, the process wouldn't exist to take all our money for no "good" reason.
They don't punish either. Just recently a woman in my town received her 13th DUI conviction. They just give them a fine and a slap on the wrist and they immediately go out and do it again. Any kind of dangerous or aggressive driving should result in a 6-month license suspension for the first offense, 5 years for the second offense and lifetime for a 3rd. Along with that they need to be banned from owning or registering a vehicle.
@@nodak81 that does not stop anything. Had a hit and run. Tldr is he got almost 20 moving violations in 6 years including 5 hit and runs and 1 fleeing from an officer. Judge said if she has any more moving violations in the next 5 years she has to go to jail for 1 year plus $10k fines. What do you think she is going to do? We need a zero tolerance. If you offend them you are jailed for 1 year. Just as a starting point. No questions.
Can we also get some reform for driving classes. Things like left lane is for passing, right on red, how to drive on three lane roads, etc. NEED to be taught
Along with not going 10+ under the posted speed limit or 10+ over. Most people today treat speed limit signs like an incurable fatal disease that instakills you if you drive within 10 mph of it.
We need to put cameras at every 1/4 mile because the behavior of motorists is really bad now. So much tailgating, clipping, and spoiled brats driving 95 in a 60 because of no consequences.

First offense of driving aggressively where you’re tailgating someone or brake checking them anything like that should be a mandatory one year suspension of your license. If you don’t learn your lesson after that, it should be mandatory jail time and if you don’t like that, then learn to control your emotions and keep your stuff together and be polite on the road.
It's about time a state cracks down on this mess. Especially with those who drive 80+ on the highways expecting the speed limit to be optional. Do you not value other lives on the road? You not only put yourself in danger but also the drivers around you.
Here's an idea. If you're are fined with road rage incident, allow auto insurance double the premium. That'll stop road rage almost instantly. Money talks...
Road rage penalties should be: 1st time: no license for 1 year, impound car for one year, $2000 fine, 25% of all points applied (so if the limit is 12 points, give them 3), GPS monitoring, report to auto insurer. 2nd time: jail for 1 year, impound car for one year, $5000 fine, 75% of all points applied, report to auto insurer. 3rd time: permanent revocation of driving privileges nationwide, 5 years in prison, $10,000 fine, report to auto insurer. Double the fines if minors in are the other vehicle. If you are here illegally and doing that, immediate deportation and lifelong ban from entering America.
This will help if all the states participate in this. What will also help is people to prevent road rage in the first place too, like no camping in left lanes, not intentionally cutting other people off. If we all would respect each other’s space, all will be kosher.
I am a truck driver, out of all the states I drive through, Utah has the worst drivers. I feel bad about it, since I love the beauty of Utah yet the drivers are awful.

Ridiculous - how about a law that forces the govt. to enforce the laws that cover harm to people. -- And while we're at it get rid of laws that don't cover harming people.
@eugenefirebird8938 most of the people camping in the left lane aren't paying attention eating twinkies ,texting cruise control on. - blocking the people behind them. - blocking the people next to them from being able to change lanes. - causing traffic jams - LAZY people - sure sign the driver not paying attention
That aftermarket bumper is only good in road rage scenarios, at damaging other people's vehicles without their own. But like if he would run into something like a concrete barrier, could interfere with airbag deployment.
Are there no careless and Reckless driving laws? Isn’t deliberately bumping someone assault? Prosecute under the existing laws and use the footage as evidence.
There is a vast difference between vehicular crimes like ramming vs. swearing and giving someone the bird. Yes, both are a type of rage, but the ladder is more what people expect.
@fomocowboy They passed a "left lane camper" law in my state. Put up all the "shooter traffic keep right signs" etc, but then came time to enforce the law and they quickly pulled all the signs and the law is meaningless now. Even the interdiction teams can't use it
Start enforcing speed limit laws first. Speeders love to claim "impeding traffic" when you're doing 0-5 over and they want to fly along 20+ over. Protip: it is NOT impeding. THEY are breaking the law.
Possible but depending on state law, could just be a civilian with bad intent. Light bars aren't inherently illegal to own/install or use depending on state laws. Generally speaking, as long it doesn't have red/blue and you're not using it willy-nilly, it's fine to have, but again, varies from state to state. Some states even allow people to have red/blues but those can't be used at all unless on private property and you're not causing trouble.
MOST first responders have the lights inside of the vehicle usually above the rearview mirror and they can only be Blue if volunteers. Official first responder vehicles will have red and white lights and are suppose to have an official logo on the side of their vehicle. This looks like a construction company or city vehicle based on the small logo on the door. 100% sure those lights in the light bar are orange and white which is NOT legal to be used for emergency purposes.
If you push someone's vehicle out into an intersection...especially if the light is red...it should be considered Attempted Homicide and prosecuted as such.

@@hugh007 Oh here we go with that again....
I would prefer to see enforcement of speed limits, especially people weaving through traffic at high speeds.

"Penalties for speeding need to be quadrupled, at least."
Doesn't matter what the penalty for speeding is since such a small fraction of speeders get pulled over.
Nobody enforces speed limits unless you're into triple digits, even then it's iffy to see a racer get stopped.
It's so bad many drivers claim you're "impeding traffic" if you're doing 0-5 over and they want to blast by doing 100+.

They don't punish either. Just recently a woman in my town received her 13th DUI conviction. They just give them a fine and a slap on the wrist and they immediately go out and do it again.
What would discourage this behavior is barring people from driving when you push another car into an intersection
