    Love the job that they did for this patio. It came out beautiful and we are enjoying every minute of it. They were professional during the entire time and finished on time just as promised. The material is very strong to accommodate for the wind in our area. I would recommend them to all our friends and family in a heart beat! Way to go AJ.

    I must have watch this video like 8 or 9 times in the past few months. I love the fact that the owner used entire concrete area as a cover patio. The smaller area can be used as a bbq island. Once again great job on the patio. And good decision to the owner of the property, enjoy the shaded areas. It cost you a bit more but you maximized the usable space for larger group parties.

      Hey Anto Mano! Long time no talk, thanks for the great insight as always. I think they made a great decision using the entire slab area. The homeowners defintely like to throw a good party, and the patio defintely helps make that happen. One of my favorite builds actually.
      Hope you have a great rest of your day!AJ

    Nice job on the patio. You said it is 24' for the length but how wide is it? And if you don't me asking for the price, since we are down the street (310) to (818) neighbors.

      Hello fellow 310. Send us an email at everydaypatio@gmail.com We will be happy to chat. We believe was 40feet wide. We plan in including the sizes on the videos, people have been asking. Thanks for pointing it out.

    did you guys use regular 14-3 romex wire for the electrical or something else?

    • @EverydayPatio
      @EverydayPatio  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Raul, mostly 14/2 it 12/2, depending on the house breaker size. We just run dedicated lines for the fans/outlets and lights.

    • @raul4j
      @raul4j 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@EverydayPatio thanks. I was just wondering if outdoor wiring was required for this application.

    • @alecjaustin
      @alecjaustin 8 месяцев назад

      @raul4j It doesn't hurt to use outdoor or grey wire. Technically if the roof is sealed correctly, water shouldn't get in the raceways

    Our HOA allows elite roof patios but requires they be covered with something resembling shingles but comes on a roll and uses adhesive so that it isn’t white on top & matches the houses’ shingle color - I’m clueless what that is. Have you heard of this?

    • @EverydayPatio
      @EverydayPatio  Год назад +1

      Hey Lucie, great question. We call that Ranger Roofing, or Insulated Panels with OSB on top. This let's you add Shingles or Tiles to the roof. This let's you match the roofing to the house, HOA rules can be all over the place, they may be requesting that so you don't get non-insulated or flat-pan roof. That usually doesn't look as good on top, as insulated.
      Hope this helps answer your question,
      Have a great New Year!

    Awesome job. What kind of wiring cable was used? Having a patio installed and they are saying they are using NB-B 12/2 for the fans and lights. Is this common?

    • @EverydayPatio
      @EverydayPatio  3 года назад +2

      Hey Anthony, every company has a preference for electrical and certain cities have even more exact preferences. I don't run 12 gauge wire, unless the client plans on pulling alot of power with the patio cover, like a heater. Most appliances don't pull alot of electricity. You can always do the math and see if your at risk of tripping a breaker, and need to run heavier gauge wire and add additional breakers.
      Hope this helps and thanks for the comment,

    How did the beams go into the floor? Screwed? Did it cracked the floor when screwing in? Going to do mine and curious how it’s going to effect my tile.

    • @EverydayPatio
      @EverydayPatio  2 года назад +1

      Good Day SkynDive Productions, thanks for the great question. This patio cover had a strong enough cement foundation, that was installed properly and given proper time and conditions to cure. This with the exterior footing, led us to not need more extreme footings. We attached directly to the concrete, as far as tile goes, you can't attach to tile, you would need to attach to at least a 4 inch. thick concrete slab or pour an appropriate sized footing. The tile would definitely crack.
      Hope this helps answer your questions and would love to see the project after it is done!
      Hope you have a great rest of your day,

    • @EverydayPatio

      Hey Andres, thanks for commenting, there was no existing gutter on this house, so we didn't have to remove one. If you did have a gutter attached to your eaves, you would remove it, and mount a few inches below the drip edge.

      Thank You RugDG, this patio cover was approved by there HOA and a permit was pulled as well. Different HOAs and Cities have easier times with approvals and permits. You can always reach out to your HOA and City to make sure you are following there approved guidelines for patio covers.

    Nice work I’m getting ready to order my own cover. Do you have to run panels with the fan beam for the recessed lights?

    • @EverydayPatio
      @EverydayPatio  3 года назад +2

      Good Day Christian, you should be using a Fan Beam AKA Electrical Chase for running all your electrical lines in the patio cover. Many companies pipe in electrical through the top of the patio cover, but this should be seen as a last resort solution, the extra cost of the fan beam, makes up for the peace of mind, of a more water tight electrical seal.
      Hope this helps,
      Have a great rest of your day Christian,
