    It has gotten…embarrassing, our country’s Miss USA representative. Not so much Miss USA herself, but rather the organization. It is downright ridiculous how little support our representatives are being given. It’s humiliating! Why doesn’t she have a stylist?!? I have so many ideas to make Miss USA so relevant again in this country. And it really doesn’t have to be this way. It’s getting worse year after year. 🙄 SMH!

    • @DaniWalker
      @DaniWalker  7 месяцев назад +21

      I agree, our queens need a team around them to help them make the most of their year.

    • @mimzyLassiter
      @mimzyLassiter 7 месяцев назад +13

      Absolutely @daniwalker! The organization could make her an IT girl. During her reign, for exposure she should walk the red carpets at nearly every awards show wearing the latest designer fashions. Why isn’t she presenting awards. She could do that for at LEAST the Grammys and the People’s Choice awards. To promote the pageant why not give up and coming designers an opportunity to design and make an evening gown or other wardrobe item for her, with her collaboration. Her photo, with the winning design and designer should be promoted in Vogue, Elle, or Harper’s Bazaar to also try to promote American Designers. These candidates devote much of their time and energy to prepare themselves, becoming the best versions of themselves for ONE position and the organization stiffs them on the prizes. It should NOT have taken Miss USA MONTHS to get into her apartment…and it was Miami NOT Los Angeles? 🙄. A stylist should be the bare minimum as Miss USA, in addition to representing herself, she is representing the Miss USA organization. Why not let one of her prizes be a walk on or even a small speaking part on a popular TV show. The very fact that the Miss USA IG page is a joke is a missed opportunity. They could hold a contest for a high school or college student skilled in social media platforms or majoring in a related field to maintain the Miss USA social media website/page for the organization to get the message out more. This could be something that could be put on a resume that they maintained the social media platforms for the Miss USA organization. And this is just the very short list of ideas to try to help promote Miss USA. If the owners are just trying to get the most money for themselves, running the Miss USA organization is maybe not for them. Because if so, they are doing these women a disservice. Soon, no one is going to want to be Miss USA because more and more there seems to be no return on the investment for these women who give their all preparing for this historic pageant…and I wouldn’t blame them one bit.

The amount of chaos that the public has seen can only be the tip of the iceberg. Also, do we even know if she gets to keep the car? I hope so. Noelia was WAY more active on her socials before this and I feel like we got to see more of their personalities. Now a lot of it seems pre-approved and manufactured. I'd definitely want to be more confident in the organization if i was a future contestant.

    Hi Dani!! I attended the Miss/Miss Teen USA Louisiana pageant over the weekend and both winners were crowned. I had previously attended USA (Nia's year) but never a state pageant before. It was RPG(?) production and other title holders were there (state titles). Frankly, I was blown away by the beauty of the 2023 Teen and Miss winners (Avery and Sylvia) - I was able to see them relatively close up. Seriously - they are 20 on a scale of 10 pretty! Plus they were really nice to everyone and genuine. I wasn't as close to the 2024 winners but both competitions seemed highly competitive (I happened to sit next to the teen winner's family and they were so excited - it reminded me of when you sat by Kentucky's dad at USA). Anyway, I really enjoyed it and the pace and method of doing the final night was really thrilling. I thought all 4 RUs in the Miss division should/could another state's title - and I'm hoping in particular that the 4th RU goes for it (her shoe broke during the finals and she fell - handled it well - but it was unfortunate). I could see her at Universe. I go back and watch USA and Universe pageants over the years (from when I was a kid) and see how I feel about them decades later. There are outcomes I better understand now and some that I still go "hmmmmm". Anyway, love your channel.

    I have to agree, when I saw the movie premiere look, I immediately thought “she went to a prom store to pick this up”. I don’t want to sound harsh but MISS USA is suppose to be an “elevated woman” in the sense and stand out (in a good way) amongst the crowds or AT least look like she belongs there. Noella’s looks come off very green to me.
    And seeing Umas story really through me off and signals to me that something very shady is goin on behind the scenes. As an avid pageant fan it’s very obvious they aren’t getting the experience and opportunities that old winners would get. And now our TEEN is speaking out?!Very concerning

If I was the head of the Organization, I'd be courting a company like Cadillac to be a sponsor, not a German brand like Porsche, Mercedes or BMW. I would think there are HR departments (or a person) within the organization for the staff. That person (who should be impartial) should also include and support the winners with an open door policy for them to report any issues. Problem is, that person is probably in favor of the organization and not the winners, which is why they are silenced. They have no one to turn to within the organization and that’s sad. Even if you are getting a check and other perks you should not be treated poorly.

    Listen, we can be so hard on people & not even know what’s going on. The new Miss USA Organization just took on this Role! This is their 1st year. EVERYONE RELAX! They are trying to figure this out. Instead of Pointing at everything wrong, how about allowing time & grace during this 1st round. If I remember correctly, y’all ripped Crystal to shreds during her 1st year of ownership also. Y’all can be so hard on people, y’all don’t even know & trying to embrace their new roles by establishing the future for the new organization.

      So, we're going into the third year technically, since the org was awarded to it's new owner in 2022. No one stepped in from the USA or Universe org to help Morgan Romano, R'bonney's USA successor. The org already produced the 2023 pageant and is prepping for the 2024 year. Typically by this time all state queens have been crowned. The ball was dropped and state pageants were pushed backed to late summer. Now contestants have little to no time to prep for nationals or promote the live event leading up to finals.
      If we use the Trump to IMG transition to compare and contrast, the pageant lost it's broadcasting mid pageant in 2015, after contestants had already arrived. They made it work and Reels picked up the broad cast. Olivia Jordan was still highly promoted during her reign. She had a NYC press week, stylist, regular appearances and received her prize package. This is a veeeery different experience than what the 2024 queens are living.

    Isn't Miss USA's director's contract for two years?
    I asked because if that is the case, this would indicate that there are requirements that the director has to live up to or face some ramifications.
    Is it then possible, as a result of the kerfukles that have transpired subsequent to the pageant - those you previously blogged about and now in this video - that the director may have gotten a non-performing review and may have been informed that her tenure will not be renewed.
    As a result, she does not care.
    With the co-ownership of the Miss Universe Organization, and Miss USA is under that umbrella, could there be something/someone in the works to replace her with someone else who has/will fork out huge sums to handle the Miss USA Organization npthing the owners love for the green back [$$$]?
    Is it possible that we may see a return of Crystal Stewart, minus her husband, at the helm of the Organization; specifically, since Crystal Stweart plans were to bring back the glam/ramp up the glam quotient something which she obviously did during her tenure?

      @DaniWalker  7 месяцев назад +1

      I've heard of people mention a 2 year contract, but it's not true. Contracts depend on what was negotiated between Universe and a franchise owner. These numbers vary.
      If anyone does step in, I don't believe it would be Crystle because of the allegations surrounding her time as director.
