    Having taught different students in different specialities, I have learned that the greatest thing any of us can achieve, is a wealth of empathy.
    I’m sure Jennifer Lawrence has always had it, to the N’th degree & is now showing it…
    I’m that respect - she is, in all likelihood, better educated than most on the Hill …

    • @Plantbliss

      I guess they shouldn’t speak up at all if they can’t include every abused subset of the world. You, how about you go and spread the word in the way these people are for the people of Palestine. But then what about x? Y?or z? They’ll wonder why you haven’t included elsewhere. There is so much wrong in the world it can sometimes feel spotlight on one issue dims the light on other tragedies. It doesn’t, it highlights it all.

    I think Hollywood celebrities often overstep their boundaries, as we've seen lately. BUT if they are using their platform to bring awareness and to do good then I'm all for it.

    • @PurushaDesa
      @PurushaDesa 17 дней назад

      That's a difficult one though because really what the boundaries end up being is, "I want you to speak up when I agree with you and I want you to just be an actor when I disagree with you." Truth is everyone loves celebrities in their corner and there's always a lot of hypocrisy about that. Classic example - a lot of the folk claiming to be tired of hearing from celebrities cheered on Clint Eastwood screaming at an empty chair at a political convention. I think the rule should just be everyone gets to speak, use the biggest platform available to you, and just be honest about what you think is agreeable or not.
