"I Am Malala" was the first book my son read to me that wasn't like a little kid book. The second was "To Kill A Mockingbird". What a special woman?! She made activisim real for people of all ages. Moms to sons - girls to daughters. I cannot wait to see the documentary.

    Thank you. Important.
Hope people carve out time for "Bread and Roses". All involved are so brave and women/girls deserve freedom.

Thanks for this interview, the Afghan women are so strong and committed against terrible consequences. They inspire me not to give up on fighting the new US regime

When i hear them talking about the Taliban 'radicalizing more young men' a looming bell rings about our own young men saying 'your body, my choice.' Helping Afghan women rise up isn't just an Afghan need, it's world-wide. Their success is our success, too. Sadly. Bless these courageous women.

Gender apartheid should absolutely be a recognized crime against humanity.
The women of high demand religions are in my thoughts often. What is happening in Afghanistan is not okay, what is worse is the way the world has just turned their backs to it.
I am grateful for the work you do. Women matter. We have worth outside of men. Our voices matter!

I'm glad Ben Malala is talking about this issues.
But sadly in her home country Pakistan. She has done very little to nothing, when it comes to the thousands of inccoent women currently detained illegally under false political charges laid by the corrupt Pakistani Generals. The same Generals who keep them locked up in horrific conditions and subject them to violance because their weak egos can't handle women peacefully protesting against their wishes.
Sadly Malala has also not spoken up about the 125 million people in Pakistan (with likely more than half of them also girls) that are also currently illiterate. Some people belive this was a strategy by the corrupt elites of Pakistan. We all know it's easy to remain in power and control people when they have limited options and prospects. And denying them basic literacy is part of that picture.
Ben please ask Malala to address those issues too. Becauee the innocent voiceless people of Pakistan, in particular women of Pakistan deserve a better tomorrow. Thanks!
