Why will big American companies financially support a pageant when the return is not commensurate? Especially with global inflation, every company should be prudent when they invest.
I agree completely. What other industry has consumers who feel entitled to dictate how a company is run and how they should spend their money? What spokesperson would expect to be the the sole voice of a company on their social media? Some of these comments are ridiculous, petty and whiney. Big budget pageantry is going to come to a screeching halt because NO ONE WILL WANT TO INVEST IN IT ANYMORE. Contestants don't appreciate how difficult it is to make a profit -- always comparing to the "Trump Era" when he (Trump) was feeling up contestants backstage, trafficking women to his rich friends, like Jeffrey Epstein, and he was willing to take a financial loss. Possible things could happen. Let's say within a year or two, Miss Teen USA decides to enter the Miss America system since performing talent is not required anymore and her story has been a part of that competition. And both ladies get offered book deals after their reigns are over.
Just a guess, but based on the pic associated with the cryptic posts, the scene looks very much to me like from Cabo San Lucas Mexico, implying that this will be the location of Miss Universe 2024, even though Mexico was announced as the next location, but not the specific city? Another thing, I hated that the last 2 Miss Universes were only on ROKU in the US. I couldn't get it--I had to watch Telemundo, which was extremely distracting. If Telemundo and NBC have the same owners, why can't it also air on NBC? Also, now that Miss America has returned to a traditional format, what do you think the future holds for the Miss Volunteer America pageants? Might the 2 re-merge? I saw some clips from the recently completed Miss Teen Volunteer America, and the 2 formats look indistinguishable.
Hello Dani, I have been watching Miss USA/Universe/Teen USA since the late 80s to now. I have seen many ups and downs with the pageants, but this is the worst right now. It is funny because when Miss America was going through their growing pains, I always thought that the Miss Universe Organization would be the safety cushion and it was during those times. However, seeing all the confusion, hypocrisy, secrets, and terrible messaging of late has sadden me for the ladies participating and right now I feel I am going through the motions of just keeping up with the pageant if that makes sense. I am not excited as I once was so many years ago. I am absolutely disappointed and sad by everything I am seeing. I am praying for the Class of 2024 and hope that their year will not be tainted by the messiness of Anne and her cohorts.
I don't think Queens should have access to the "MIss" social media accounts. I'm sure they all have their own personal social media accounts. The account content should be restricted to events and matters specifically to the organization. When the reigning Queen makes Public appearances she should always have a Chaperone with her. The Chaperone's presence is not only for the Queen's support but also as a representative of the Organization whose responsibility is to gather all pertinent information and materials and turn them over to the designated Social Media Team to analyze for relevancy and Brand Quality. This is Brand Control
Love this, I wish that's what were happening. That's how things use to be. Miss USA had a handler who'd help assist her and someone to manage social media.
Based on the recent resignation posted from the former social media director, there was no marketing team nor was she allowed to hire a team to do her job properly.
Not anymore. Since Crystle Stewart’s era, Miss USA has relocated to LA. And just recently, the New Miss Universe, now under Anne & Rocha era, the new purchased apartment is now in Waterline Square NYC.
Thankfully, contestants of Filipino ethnicity can compete in the Philippines where the competition is really tough. Perhaps contestants with similar situations should do the same with their respective dual ethnicity , should their respective countries allow such competition. I know Thailand has , as the last Miss Universe from Thailand is an American.
As crazy as this may sound, I'm just waiting for the day when we learn that all of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA contestants are AI generated and the winner's social media content is actually done by Layla Rose and "Staff". Sort of a "Ignore the man behind the curtain" thing.
Well in most organizations the Queens don’t have access to the official accounts. Don’t see the big deal, also is understandable that the ORG. what’s to control their content.
It does vary depending on the org. When I was a USA titleholder, I had access to our socials, but so did our directors and social media managers. It's a bit of a group effort.
There is no over exaggeration. The proof is there. Just with the little tidbits you have shared. What has happened to that competition(s)? It has become quite chaotic and very disorganized
The Miss USA organization is a total mess, Dani. A total mess. I used to look forward to seeing Miss USA every year. The women were prettier and more graceful than Miss America. Let me be honest. Both beauty pageants suck now. They promote lacklustre candidates as winners. Miss USA sucks, its not the same organization as it was when you were in it, Dani.
Dani, unfortunately, I see glaring contradictions in many statements you've made. You complain about the social media content for Miss USA being poor for the last several months...yet the two titleholders who are now complaining about being "silenced" were the ones doing the posting! So, which should it be...the titleholder's "voice" (no matter how bad or uninteresting), or the company's? Do you not see a problem with Noelia and Uma posting passive aggressive jabs to their employer on a public forum? Do you condone this? If they feel they've been wronged, shouldn't they just resign? You pointed out that under IMG, titleholders never had direct access to the company's accounts anyway (and neither does Miss America) -- so why not use this fact to bring people back to REALITY? Neither Noelia nor Uma were "silenced" or victimized in any way. Can't you simply make that point, if you're being "fair?" As an authority on pageantry, I would have expected you to help calm the situation down with FACTS, instead of exacerbating it with gossip. Also, on the one hand, you point out MUO's "fake inclusiveness" shown in their meeting...but, also talk about women waiting until they are older to compete (i.e., "waiting it out') as if they think they'll have a real chance to win. Which one is it...fake inclusivity or real inclusivity? If people keep carrying on this way, pageantry will go away for good because no one will be willing to invest in big budget pageants. Who wants this type of backlash from people who have no appreciation for how difficult it is to break-even, let alone make a profit? The "glory days" of Miss USA where the money was flowing freely are GONE! Trump never made a profit and, based on real accounts from Miss USA alum, he used the pageant to traffick beautiful women to his rich friends...he S-A'd them, and violated their privacy in the dressing rooms -- even the teens! Laylah is entitled to some growing pains given the quick turnover and all the bad press she inherited. I would think that you'd understand and appreciate that out of everyone... Just my opinion.
Trust of a system takes years to build and seconds to destroy.Sad to watch.

Dani, FYI with texts you really dont know who is texting seriously
Has someone sent you a cease and desist or something? I hope not. Can’t imagine on what basis.
And they are so pricy like 3k
Didn't Miss USA and Miss Universe share an apartment in NYC?
For many years yes, I believe starting in the 70s they became roommates. But that ended when Crystle Stewart acquired the Miss USA Organization.
Not anymore. Since Crystle Stewart’s era, Miss USA has relocated to LA.
And just recently, the New Miss Universe, now under Anne & Rocha era, the new purchased apartment is now in Waterline Square NYC.
@@PageantExpert The only reason I said this is that Catriona Gray had said that she had shared her apartment with Miss USA.
Thankfully, contestants of Filipino ethnicity can compete in the Philippines where the competition is really tough. Perhaps contestants with similar situations should do the same with their respective dual ethnicity , should their respective countries allow such competition. I know Thailand has , as the last Miss Universe from Thailand is an American.
ano konek ahhah
Anne JKN is the root cause lol.
Miss Universe Philippines tourism video next please
Someone help me out here, Does Miss USA have a private acct. she can post on? Is she allowed to post thoughts about the pageant?
Again, all I am going to say if MISS Mexico USA wins she better be the standout of finals night.
ASEAN production maybe better than Miss USA & Miss Teen USA
As crazy as this may sound, I'm just waiting for the day when we learn that all of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA contestants are AI generated and the winner's social media content is actually done by Layla Rose and "Staff". Sort of a "Ignore the man behind the curtain" thing.
this will be layla rosese last year! already production companies will outbid her like Dick clark productions
Obviously, SHE doesn't get embarrassed as you do Dani. SHE is shameless :D
Real ones know Miss USA Organization hasn't been shit since 2019. We can't even blame JKN for thus mess, it only got worse over time.
Well in most organizations the Queens don’t have access to the official accounts. Don’t see the big deal, also is understandable that the ORG. what’s to control their content.
Exactly - this is all drama content 😂😂
It does vary depending on the org. When I was a USA titleholder, I had access to our socials, but so did our directors and social media managers. It's a bit of a group effort.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
But
Will they be able to talk though
After they aren't under contract
Layla Rose is the root cause. Period.
OMG, What is goung on?!!! I miss Trump era.
Miss USA Pageant organization will do well. 🎊 🎉🥳
There is no over exaggeration. The proof is there. Just with the little tidbits you have shared. What has happened to that competition(s)? It has become quite chaotic and very disorganized
😲👍👍👍👍👍
3rd world mess!
Miss usa is dying
First one 🎉Dani wishing U a good day 🫶🏻
You too! 🫶🏻
