As a long time Iron Maiden I have to say that the Blaze Bayley era of the band has been a time of shame. Not for him, all the guy did was take a job and try to keep the thing going. What I'm ashamed of is the vitriol he received from so called "fans". People that I'm supposed to share a connection with. He stepped up and tried to fill an impossible void. I've nothing but respect for him.
Totally agree!! As far as I'm concerned the two Blaze records are solid albums, especially X Factor. Fair enough, some people genuinely don't like them, but many people never even gave him a chance and dismissed him out of hand.
To this day, Iron Maiden still play songs from the two Blaze era albums. I liked them, and still do. Blaze brought a 90's sound to Iron Maiden and did a great job. "The X Factor" is in my top 10 Iron Maiden album list. P.S. Just as an aside, I always prefered Paul Di'anno over Bruce Dickinson, anyway. So when Bruce left it wasn't earth-shattering for me.
Some maybe, but die hard fans like us know the value that Blaze brought to the band and to us. X Factor is one of the best albums in metal. Up the Irons! \m/
There are a lot you can tell about Blaze. He's a great singer, composer and of course performer. But the best of them all is that he is an AMAZING human being! Keep it up man, cheers to the guys also! 🤟🔥💪🎤🥁🎸🙏
I really loved Iron Maiden's Blaze era. I would like to be there shaking his hand in this live. I'm 42... Maiden fan since I was 13... Blaze fan since "Virtual XI". You did the story of heavy metal together with the band! Fuck to those they say you weren't good enough!! Hail from Italy, Blaze, with full respect and forever in my young heart!
Me too. Been a fan of iron maiden since I was 13. I’m now 45 and the Blaze era was a really good time. Who cares if he couldn’t reach the high notes of Bruce? He did his absolute best and gave it all he had. He was a good fit for the band at the time. Screw the haters! But I do wish that when “The best of the beast” compilation was released, I would’ve loved to hear Blaze sing more of Bruce’s songs, just to hear his take on them.
I've never been a fan of Blaze, not even a fan of Maiden... but damn this guy fully deserves respect and love, cheers to Blaze and all of you people. As he said, we are all important and beloved.

@Lord Belial Yes! Would be an awesome experience having a showman like Blaze and the others singing classic songs from Iron Maiden around the world through live concerts
The other thing that I love about Blaze Bayley is that he is extremely thankful to all his fans. In every interview I have ever listened with him , he has always said that his fans are responsible for his success and that they are the only reason that he still gets to make new albums and tour. If that is what it takes , I have no problem at all buying every album Blaze makes because it is always amazing and great quality. He in my opinion has never made a bad album. His passion for music is so amazing to me.
I completely agree. Blaze is independent. He has no support from any record label, meaning that he doesn't have the funds or the resources that many others have yet he still puts out incredible albums. I buy his CD's (and vinyl records when he puts them out) so that he can continue to do what he does. He strikes me as one of the great guys in metal who genuinely appreciates his fans and the fact that they allow him to do what he wants to do for a living.
Great I love several song from Blaze when he was in Maiden, Lord of the flies, Virus, Afraid to shoot strangers, Man of the edge and lots of more great songs that he made.
Na época muitos reclamaram e foram contra a escolha de Blaze, mas sua fase no iron se tornou histórica e de muito sucesso para a banda. Up the Blaze!!!!

@@toddmitchell6362 For me one of the first. The very fist song which I thought of, was a title track from the 5th album "Corona De Epidemia" (2017) by Mexican War Metal band Morbosidad.
I was first introduced to Maiden in the 90s, and my favorite song was Virus! By the time I saw them live, Bruce was back in the band and they didnt play my song! Only later did I learn there were two lead singers. Great to finally hear it live from the man himself!
Blaze Bayley remind me on Elvis Presley and not only because of his sideburns but because of his simply human personality and love for audience, and because he really enjoy in music that he do.😊 Blaze is King.
To be fair to Blaze his voice really has held up. Considering he recorded this song over 20 years ago he still sings it as well as he ever did. I'll always remember my first ever Maiden live show was with Blaze - October 1998 at the Newcastle City Hall. I prefer Bruce, but still love the Blaze era songs - Man on Edge, Futureal, Clansman, Sign of the Cross, The Unbeliever.
Wonderful performance. Blaze is really giving a high-level performance here, working hard to deliver each note beautifully, including all the harmonies that he and his fellow band members nailed so well. What a treat!
He has magnetism as well as talent. Very comfortable with his audience. His voice in lower register reminds me of Jack Bruce. Great stuff, more power to him.
I’ve read today that he had a heart attack… 😢 This guy is SOOOOO underrated, as his Maiden’s albums, specially X-Factor… And as example of his talent is this song, which was an add-on of one of Maiden’s best-of. Great singer, hope he recovers soon.
I just got both live albums Live In Czech and Live In France earlier today that the only place I could find them was eBay. I also got his greatest hits double CD studio album Soundtrack Of My Life . I so far have listened to The Live In France CD and I am really impressed with how amazing it sounds and how phenomenal the songs are. I have always loved the two albums Blaze did with Iron Maiden. I love both of them big time and I have listened to both of them so many times throughout the years. I was one of the few Iron Maiden fans that accepted Blaze into the band and at the time it was a breath of fresh air because Iron Maiden's previous two albums in my opinion were weak. I love The X Factor and Virtual 11 way more than No Prayer For The Dying and Fear Of The Dark. Even Bruce Dickinson knew that they were not great Iron Maiden albums because he would have never left the band if he thought they were great albums. This song Virus is one of my favorites that Blaze did with Iron Maiden and it is a shame that Iron Maiden has never done it live not even once. I am so glad that Blaze is keeping his Iron Maiden songs alive with his band. His band did a phenomenal job on it.

I remember when Blaze Bayley left Maiden, there was news that he was going to start another band. I just discovered Maiden a few years before and starting playing guitar also around the same time I discovered Maiden. I was like wishing to be the next guitarist of Blaze but of course I would probably not have make it in the audition and my dad was saying stuff like: if it seems to good, then it's not real. Been playing for 28 years now and love guitar and Maiden and Blaze. Peace!!! Jd
