FYI. So much time was given to Rick Dicker because Bud Luckey, the person who played him in the first movie, passed away. They wanted to give the character a proper sendoff.
The only thing he does is mess some kid's brain.

@@NJ-wb1cz Both Helen and Bob make sure the say 'thanks Rick, for everything' before he drives away. He's also seen later in the movie with a Hawaiian shirt on, indicating that he's retiring/vacationing.
@@thatrandomderp yeah. Messed some kids brain and went on a vacation, apparently giving zero fucks about his mistakes. That's literally a comprehensive list of his actions.

I always saw Brad Bird's movies not as "Special talented people need to be treated with special privileges" but more that people that have talents, abilities, and are special shouldn't be held back.
After finding out about Joe's hatred for the Grinch, it's obvious. Oh please, oh please do an Honest Trailer for Jim Carrey's How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). I'm just curious to see a slice of Joe Starr's rant. To make it more silly, film the commentary in a Dutch Angle.

I'm surprised they didn't do one this week. I remember in one of their Christmas-related Honest Trailer Commentaries last year, Dan mentioned they thought about doing the live-action Grinch movie, but decided it was best to wait until the new animated adaptation came about. Maybe they will save it for December.

So, I loved this. When I saw Dan was gone, I immediately frowned. But then Joe and Spencer were ridiculous and it made me laugh. Love you guys in all your combinations.

The trailer itself is fine, but this commentary is GOLD.
Joe is an absolute delight. The Dolly story had me dead to the world for five solid minutes, my boyfriend thought i was coughing up a lung my face was so red from laughing. Joe is dime among nickles, and too precious for this world

When people were complaining about the flashing lights for this film, the first thing I thought of was the Porygon pokemon episode. I thought for sure that was somehow going to make it into this Honest Trailer.
I thought of the seizure bots cartoon the Simpsons saw when they went to Japan.
I love screen junkies and always enjoy the videos, but it's been a long time since I burst out laughing in my office because of a video. But man, that "bad day" cue in the end took me. Let's hope I don't get fired now!

Didn't expect the interactive edutainment banter.
I wanted to point out I'm one of those people that has watched most of these commentaries but have never really watched an honest trailer. I think the meta humor of talking about talking about the thing is a lot funnier and these guys end up making a lot more weird jokes than they allow themselves to put in the actual trailers, like "shot a guy on the subway 'cuz I saw a Grinch billboard ..."
Man, when Dan is gone it's like two kids are left unattended. This was hilarious! XD
Dan truely is an anchor. I like the riffing on this vid tho.
I hope they make one where its 15 years from now and they all have to take down an insanely overpowered Jack Jack to save the galaxy.

The Porygon episode of Pokemon didn't air in the US (at least the first time they aired Pokemon) because of the seizure risk. Apparently it had caused some seizure in Japan.
If you want to end with drama a couple of options are a ticking clock or a complex heist. These can often feature a chase or a sky beam but don't depend on them to be successful
Joe, for a vacation, Spencer should have told you that billboards are illegal in Hawaii, because tourism is a much bigger industry than advertising here.
I dropped a like just for the first 2 minutes leading into this video.

The fight scene in Screenslaver’s house was awesome. So noirish and intense. I wish we had seen more of her tech powers and more of Elastigirl doing detective work. Loved the film overall tho and was crying with laughter at points

I used to always enjoy the "Starring" portion of your Honest Trailers and the funny titles you came up with for the movie. But lately, I don't enjoy them as much. They are probably funny, but I don't understand any of the references. I think you guys are trying to make them too clever. I think you're trying too hard. Just keep them simple.

Incredibles 2 does have a "feeling" to it. As how being different from the norm can make you an outcast or beloved, depending on how you're presented. The plot is a different take on Civil War, with a villain manipulating the heroes into being outlawed - but suffers from similar issues, like overall feeling less impactful because the threat is ultimately only to the superheroes. At least the villain actually exists and is not just a guy that based everything on slim chances that somehow worked out (well, not totally).
