Can we get a video telling the story of the Honest Trailer voice guy? You’ve really built up his mythology over time. It would be something funny to explore.
Mr. Incredible and Elastagirl don't have a terrible marriage. They have a real marriage between two complicated people. Mr. Incredible's character goes through a lot of growth, and it sounds like Elastagirl will get her focus in the sequel. As a younger person it was an awesome family superhero movie. As a dad of 2 kids jeepers does the Mr. Incredible through line hit me in the feels.
For someone like me, who never reads any comments anywhere, hearing you guys talk about commenters makes me feel so good about just watching the videos (and maybe thumbs upping them). Thanks!
Frozone: “I’ll be there, ASAP,” grabs his suit which he finds this time Honey: “Where you going ASAP? You better be back ASAP.” God i can’t wait for Incredibles 2!
The description of Syndrome was epic! @5:45 the whole sitcom vs Gomez and Morticia thing. People see Gomez and Morticia as odd, but they are loving and considerate of each other and their family. Whereas all sitcom couples are always are each others throats and are considered "normal."
I want their to be a cartoon wedding parade, where every float is a new couple; Spencer and Daffy, Myself and The Head Hex Girl from Scooby Doo, You and Chernabog (lol)
I would watch a show where you guys read bad reviews for good movies, then discuss/try to figure out how/why that reviewer got that way. A la "Who hurt you"
I know people make the Fantastic 4 comparison but I'd say that The Incredibles has a LOT of similarities with Watchmen. Edit: well, I should I watched the whole video because Spencer said exactly what I was thinking.
I have to say y'all do a fantastic job. I love the commentarys just as much as the trailers. Just a thought... Ever try to do a live commentary trailer like you three and epic voice guy sit and record t trailer together live? Give some insight to the how its made. Or do a documentary on the making of an honest trailer
This is a cracking movie and hope the sequel is just as good. For some reason, every time Syndrome comes on, I think of Richie Cunningham...............
The guy who got punched through several walls deserved it. He was written to have no redeeming features whatsoever and to be the walking embodiment of bureaucracy. If Bob hadn't, someone else would have punched his lights out.
Not sure if this was the intent, but the honest trailer made me like the movie more. I guess when I watched it when I was younger I didnt recognize the dark stuff (failing relationships, deadend office job, etc.) but you pointed it out and I was like damn pixar
We nerds watch this show because we like to hear your thoughts on your creations~! I didn't actually like this one much as a kid, but I didn't like superheroes back then so that was probably a big factor. Looking back it's better than I remember, but I think that's also changes in perspective. So I feel like there were more critiques you could have made, but they were probably me being biased. Like i thought there was something wrong with elastigirls voice? syndrome was stupid for wasting his genius on revenge, (look at all that tech! why r u a supervillian!) and for missing the AI turning on its creator thing. (you guys have brought it up in other trailers i think).
Even with dozens of amazing Marvel films, a bunch of great Batman films, a few great X-Men films... this is a top three superhero movie. It has everything.
What I always wondered about was the costume Edna made for Jack Jack - that thing was resistant to pretty much everything. I was like - why the hell don't you design all the costumes like that?
My only complaint about this is that it was too good. I remember back over a Christmas holiday my nephew watched it everyday. And you know what? I probably watched it start to finish 3 times. Great flick 🍻
I will be honest, I have never seen "The Incredibles" even during its original theater run nor home release. Just could not find it, or it was sold out. I hope to watch, and catch up on what I missed. +Note I do dig the fun notations towards storytelling that they were able to connect, but also deliver something engaging. Whomever dislikes this.. uh what is wrong with you?
Damn, I never actually thought about how this came out before the Marvel revolution to superhero movies. Because this movie is really THAT good. In fact, this movie might be the blueprint for a successful Marvel movie?
Probably isn't the video to ask but when will we have a blitzkrieg movie fights where fighters pick characters from a certain genre of movies to physically fight each other and who would win in a martial arts fist fight/gun fight/sword fight(???)
Great episode of both shows. Also, I think Joe may have had a point that Incredibles could have inspired First Class. Wait... Am I being contrarian by saying that?
Well Spencer if the Godfather would be easy, why haven't you done it yet? (Seriously though, I would really really love an honest trailer for these movies)
“The 60’s actually happened” -Dan Murrell, 2018
Can we just have an entire show dedicated to Dan reading negative reviews of critically acclaimed films?
Can we get a video telling the story of the Honest Trailer voice guy? You’ve really built up his mythology over time. It would be something funny to explore.
Or an honest trailer about epic voice guy
Jackson Ward that would be amazing
I don't watch this because I'm bored, but because you guys are awesome and fun!❤️😅
im just here cause im bored :I
I follow them because they're awesome
Michael Berthelsen o
Yeah! Agreed. I actually look forward all week to honest trailer commentaries. Maybe that's a bit sad? But not if it makes me happy, right?!
Michael Berthelsen I watched it cause I’m bored tho
You guys totally nailed Syndrome parallel to the current state of fandoms in general.
Mr. Incredible and Elastagirl don't have a terrible marriage. They have a real marriage between two complicated people. Spencer knows a suspicious amount about how to poop in a water cooler.
"Darkest Timeline Brodie from Mallrats". Haha. Very accurate.
For someone like me, who never reads any comments anywhere, hearing you guys talk about commenters makes me feel so good about just watching the videos (and maybe thumbs upping them). Thanks!
No mention of the comic version of Tommy Lee Jones...?😂😂
Frozone: “I’ll be there, ASAP,” grabs his suit which he finds this time
Honey: “Where you going ASAP? You better be back ASAP.”
God i can’t wait for Incredibles 2!
"Well the 60s did happen." Great line, haha.
I don't like how you knew I was still bored.
As someone who sincerely loves the movie you hinted you're doing next week, I've been looking forward to that Honest Trailer for years.
The almost destruction of their marriage was super hard to watch.
Damn it, pixar!
Also that syndrome observation was spot on!
The commentary is actually kinda my favorite part
That was the greatest Simpsons pull I've seen yet in an Honest Trailer.
Thank you
Thank you so much
so next week gona be Jurassic Park III
I wonder how many times they're going to play the talking raptor bit.
Benjamin Abramowitz Allen!
Jurassic III for JW II or Ocean's Thirteen for Ocean's 8?
Alexandr Volkov I 🤔 so, I can’t wait for them to rip it shreds
The description of Syndrome was epic!
@5:45 the whole sitcom vs Gomez and Morticia thing. People see Gomez and Morticia as odd, but they are loving and considerate of each other and their family. Whereas all sitcom couples are always are each others throats and are considered "normal."
Yes! more Addams Family References.
Also normal is an illusion. That is all.
Just started binge watching Simpsons, you guys do so many references to them! I love it!
"You can tell this is early Pixar"
It was a full ten years into their run.
Do I Know You Yeah, but they only made like five feature films prior to that. That's early for a movie studio.
Should have gone with *The Perks of Being a Wallflower*
Man I have never seen Honest Trailers, I always go straight to commentaries. way more interesting
How would you know if you haven't ever seen Honest Trailers tho
kypzethdurron they always post it back to back, commentaries always pops up first on my feed
“Allen” -talking raptor on helicopter
Thanks for the Honest Trailer! Surprised you guys didn't mention Syndrome being caught monologuing after catching himself monologuing.
I actually go back and watch these more often than I rewatch the trailers themselves. I love hearing their thoughts on all this stuff.
Can you PLEASE put the links to the Honest Trailers in the description.
The 3 extra mouse clicks are really just... ruining my childhood?
meloD30 😂 thanks! I needed that today
My pleasure.
I'm here -all week- till I'm chased away.
"An Incredibubble!" XD
You guys were channeling the squidbillies for a second there. Haha
I’d love to see a behind the curtain peek at your writers meetings. I’d love to see your “process” and how you bounce ideas off each other
Watchman for Kidz was much better as a title.
Just stopped by on my way to see the Honest Trailer to say HOW DARE YOU!!!!
I'm already offended!
...
Okay, have a good day.
meloD30 careful not to cut yourself on that edge
i want to go to spencer's and daffy's wedding
I want their to be a cartoon wedding parade, where every float is a new couple; Spencer and Daffy, Myself and The Head Hex Girl from Scooby Doo, You and Chernabog (lol)
I feel like we need an episode of Honest Trailer Commentaries with the Epic Voice Guy included in the conversation!
I laughed so hard from 12 minutes to 13 - what a great episode.
Hello, welcome to honest trailer commentary. The show that you watch first before the actual honest trailer. LMAO
The part where you talk about change.org is absolut brilliant. Laughed tears.
I never noticed that the thing Mr. Incredible is captured in looks like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland before you guys paused it, awesome!
Did no one think of Team Cap from Civil War when he said "You just want to punch people without consequences"?
No mention of Nick Flurry's supersuit scene?!
Or Buzz Lightyear saying, "To Infinity and Beyond."
It was an Incredible Honest Trailer for an Incredible Movie. Well done.
You guys need to stop pretending that we watch the Honest Trailer before watching this show.
Benjamin Tillema for me it feels more like The Fantastic Four team *inside* The Watchmen universe.
"Spencer Shrugged" ha
:)
Since Inc2, we know there is at least 1 other major supersuit designer who maybe used capes. Also Syndrome having a cape is a great subtle symbolism.
This Honest Trailer was awesome
That syndrome joke was god damn brilliant perfection
wow.. when the first 3 lines in the show nails it +_+
I have to say y'all do a fantastic job. I love the commentarys just as much as the trailers. Just a thought... Ever try to do a live commentary trailer like you three and epic voice guy sit and record t trailer together live? Give some insight to the how its made. The Incredibubble!!
“Thanks for asking” I laughed SO hard 😂
Is that a colored tattoo coming out from under spencer's left sleeve?? Let's see it!!!
Wow, nailed that intro :D
12:00
Ouch, I can feel the bitterness seeping through. I feel for you guys, not everyone can do it but at least y’all can say what needs to be said
This is a cracking movie and hope the sequel is just as good.
Watchmen for Kidz would’ve been a better title in the Honest Trailer
I actually really like JPIII so I'm really looking forward to you guys taking it to the woodshed.
Not sure if this was the intent, but the honest trailer made me like the movie more. I guess when I watched it when I was younger I didnt recognize the dark stuff (failing relationships, deadend office job, etc.) but you pointed it out and I was like damn pixar
"Stories told in service of a message or a moral" - Spencer Gilbert
"No capes!" - Edna
I could have sworn they already did an HT for Jurassic Park 3. Cause I remember the talking raptor.
The deleted clips were so good too
Another Watchmen parallel is the fatal impracticality of capes.
Spencer saying Reylo saved my soul
We nerds watch this show because we like to hear your thoughts on your creations~!
I didn't actually like this one much as a kid, but I didn't like superheroes back then so that was probably a big factor. I love The Incredibles mostly for its art design.
would still love to see them do the Monty Python Films
I lost it when spencer shouted Reylo 😂
Maybe I'm in a bubble too because I don't know anyone who doesn't like the Incredibles....
"Take my word for it, Dan. It's possible to shit in a water cooler."
The world is syndrome...is the truth no one is talking about. Thanks Spencer.
Spencer Shrugged... bahahaha
Jurassic park 3 is my guess for next weeks video
Please do a Red Dawn '84 Honest Trailer
"tasty goulash" ahh yes, very articulate Spence
This was a Great One!! Spencer may need a Hug.....
Next weeks trailer: JURASSIC PARK III
I thought Ninja Turtles 3, but yeah JP 3 makes sense.
ALAN!
WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!!?!!
SAVE ALAN!!!
My only complaint about this is that it was too good. I remember back over a Christmas holiday my nephew watched it everyday. And you know what? I probably watched it start to finish 3 times. Great flick 🍻
"Spencer season" 🤣🤣🤣
I will be honest, I have never seen "The Incredibles" even during its original theater run nor home release. Just could not find it, or it was sold out. I hope to watch, and catch up on what I missed. +Note I do dig the fun notations towards storytelling that they were able to connect, but also deliver something engaging.
Whomever dislikes this.. uh what is wrong with you?
Please do an Honest Trailer for The Darkman trilogy!!!
Whooooo one of the six people who watch this show reporting for duty!!!!!!!
photo makes dan look like having locks
Damn, I never actually thought about how this came out before the Marvel revolution to superhero movies. Because this movie is really THAT good. In fact, this movie might be the blueprint for a successful Marvel movie?
Anyone else think Joe looked like he was going to be sick during the pooping in the water cooler talk?
I’m not bored just neglecting my parental duties...
Another stellar rant!
Probably isn't the video to ask but when will we have a blitzkrieg movie fights where fighters pick characters from a certain genre of movies to physically fight each other and who would win in a martial arts fist fight/gun fight/sword fight(???)
How do you feel about the Jurassic World trailer playing b4 both these videos? Lol
I've been getting those before any SJU video for over a week now.
You just reminded me I still had to whitelist this channel on my ad block, so thanks!
Just noticed Dan's tricorder phone cover!
Great episode of both shows. Also, I think Joe may have had a point that Incredibles could have inspired First Class. Wait... Am I being contrarian by saying that?
spencer should pull up his sleeve so we can see his tattoo lol
Dan's epic change.org petition rant! So shall it be written, so shall it be signed 😂Thank👏🏼You👏🏼Tuesdays!😂
I love you guys.
if you guys are tired of doing good movies, I’m still waiting for the Masters of the Universe honest trailer you threatened to do a while ago 😁
Well Spencer if the Godfather would be easy, why haven't you done it yet? (Seriously though, I would really really love an honest trailer for these movies)
YES
No, you're not in an Incredibubble. It was a great movie!
