Great plugin, made with a deep musical understanding of the nature of "shaken instruments" and how they differ from most other types of percussion. Been wishing for a plugin like this for quite some time. 👍
I like seeing women in the field of music doing things like this, being successful as Composers, and seeing them in various creative fields.Great to see this!
This thing is really good. My favorite aspect so far is how it can playback and sound ever so subtle, adding movement without being obvious. Very musical and organic.
I was born with moderate hearing loss, and hearing higher-pitched percussions is a real hassle for me. So this tool is really going to come in handy for a fast workflow to not only lock in the timing, but also fudge around with the humanization settings without a lot of fuss. Thanks for this; bought.
This is a wonderful companion plugin to Borsta. I just bought this and Spinn, and a couple of hours later I'd already used both of them on a track I've been working on. I'm very pleased with the results. Thanks, this is great!
I've downloaded the demo and it's good, but one immediate thing that I don't get is why the plugin will let you import/export individual settings against each note, but not save/load a preset of all the different settings against all the notes at once. I'd want to be able to create a set of mappings for verses and choruses of particular genres that I could re-use without having to work in a particular DAW's saved project each time. Is there any chance you could add that to your roadmap?
So my version 1.1.2 does not have the synchronization buttons at the bottom of each pad. What happened to them? EDIT: I found them on the sequencer page...
Does the Humanizer add randomness that is completely different every time the 1/16 grid plays through, or does it set some randomness that is exactly the same randomness each time the 1/16 grid plays through? In other words, is it constantly updating its randomness? (I'm using 1/16 as an example, as it is the grid that is used in the video).
great sounding product. However one thing you could have added was a pan envelope which could pan each strike in the stereo field. Although it can be automated in the daw but it would help a lot if it was embedded in the edit page itself. Thanks.
I purchased the iOS version , read the manual and now I’m producing wonderful, sonically impressive percussive accompaniments which have great expression and air. Recommended 🙏🎶🎩🦄👏👏
Wow. Super cool 😎. What are the export functionalities? Do you export at slot or master level (all slots) and what properties are exported into midi data exactly? The reason I ask is because aside from the core use case, I can see this being fun to use for midi sequencing in general. Thanks
Very cool - I just bought one… Great price! :) A nice one to play around with, although I wish the Sequence Length parameter could be increased beyond 8…
Congratulations!!! It is great that someone at last realized that shaken instruments should be quantized on their accent, not on their beginning. I am definitely buying this! And I think this will make the third of your products that I am purchasing. ;)
Wasn‘t this first done by In Session Audio‘s Shimmer Shake Strike Instrument? As well as different samples for the in- and out-moves? Klevgränd’s pricing is way more moderate, though.
Would you not achieve the same if you just slightly move the shaken instruments MIDI slightly to the left in your DAW sequencer (subtract a few milliseconds in time)? The plugin seems cool, but is it really something that could not relatively easy be recreated in any sequencer?
@@ulyssesresurrection Was it? I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with Session Audio's Shimmer Shake Strike. I will check it, but certainly Klevgrand's price is really good. And it works great. I am already using it.
@@dissdad8744 Yes, with negative MIDI delay, but again, it is a bit a sort of try and guess how much negative delay you need, and also depends on each instrument's sample: the shaker might need more negative delay than the tambourine or other instruments, whereas with Skaka you don't need to worry about that: you play the pattern and all instruments are on time.
Because of how Skaka’s audio engine and sample player works with defined musical high points of shakes, and the amount of samples (about 240-360) per instrument, required to make the patterns sound natural, it is not possible to import your own samples.
Well it depends on what you mean. You can trigger individual slots with midi and automate parameters in the Main View and the Sequencer Settings, but not input events in the sequencers within skaka with your midi controller as there is no standard to send the information required for time-positioning, velocity, duration, pitch and gain for those events from a midi controller.
@@klevgrand Thank you for the clarification! Yes, that's correct, I was wondering could you trigger events with a midi controller as oppose to using a mouse, sort of speak.
I have InSession Audio's Shimmer Shake Strike Kontakt library which is really good, but think I'll grab this too as the sounds are different and it seems to have a lot of flexibility with rhythms. Also it's way, way cheaper.
Hey Rocky, I've been looking at Shimmer Shake Strike, having had the two for a while can you tell me how you're getting on with both? How do they differ? I'm creating finger-style guitar tunes so I need as much humanness as possible. Thanks. 🙏
@@Jeronimo365 As a lazy music maker I had saved a lot of shaker patterns that I tend to use on Shimmer Shake Strike, but feel I could use Skaka to do everything I use SSS for, so I’d probably advise you get that and also recommend grabbing Klevgrand’s new Slammer drum instrument while it’s on intro sale too.

Love this! Needs some randomisation options and the ability to record midi performance (notes AND sequences) What about seperate outputs and per note panning?mm I also really hope it will become possible to import my own sounds...
if you can import sounds you don't need this. do you know how easy it is to buy percussion instruments and record them?, this is just a basic convenience product. the whole concept of the markers correcting the attacks can be done in most DAWS but it actually sounds pretty good.
@@boimesa8190 Not if you have to load all your samples into their system and correct their start times meticulously. By the time you do that you could have just used a DAW and sequenced them yourself. I was a bit dubious at first, but this sounds like an instrument that would turn out to be very useful. BTW, I see that you have one of those terrible Philips organs in the background. Just as I was really working on shakers in the current song and not getting the wanted results...absofreakinglutely fabulous! Love you guys!
I wish all products explained things like this. Excellent!
I have Skaka, use it in almost every project. Sounds great, really versatile. 👍🎹
It's awesome.
Since importing sounds isn't possible.
Is it possible to export the Midi of the individual patterns?

Klevs percussion apps are second to none. This, slammer and ting are all amazing.

That is a vintage Philips Philicorda GM751 electronic organ.

No OCD, just cool and fun ;)

Outstanding, exactly what I hoped for after using & loving TING. A bongo/conga/djembe/timbale instrument in this format would be killer.
what goodfootwax said ^ ^ :D
When I hear her (Torve?) pronounce Skaka then I realized this it the stuff - potent instrument. Thank you for the great imagineering!
Plug-in seems awesome and the tone of the demo itself also. :D
How do I preview sequence without drawing midi notes in my DAW?
You can do it by playing the notes on a midi keyboard for example without recording in your host/DAW!
@@klevgrand A preview pattern feature in the main plug in window would be extremely useful.

But I need to ask: Cai we use our own sounds, too?
No, the sound engine won’t support user samples. Keep an eye out in the near future.

Hello :) can i get some help on how to write in triplets with this ?? having some confusion with the grid. Cheers
