My family drove a 1934 five window coupe from Cleveland, Ohio to Los Angles' California in 1945. We did the return trip in 1947. My father fitted two inward facing jump seats behind the front seat, so that our family of five could fit in. Parents and one kid on the bench seat and two kids in the back seat. You brought back many memories with this video. MHB
What a special experience to have with that amazing car. A 34 five window. So beautiful. I hope it ends up with someone who appreciates it as it is. The smile on your face as you drove it the first time was cool. About as close as you can get to knowing how that early coupe felt when it was new as anyone can get. To be able to drive that down the road and around town would be a fine experience. Thank you for making me dream. What a great life you have made for yourself. I have my 53 Chevy to drive around. If I had more room, I know I would lose my job to hanging out in the garage.
Awesome job on the edited version of Beautiful ! What a Christmas gift ! I started watching this thinking , " Oh cool , they found some more cars ." Then I thought , " Wow , that car looks just like Beautiful ! " Then the owner said that's what the original lady who owned it called it . She turned out quite nice , & one of my favorite restoration / builds . She's still Beautiful , at 88 , soon to be 89 . She don't look a day over 21 ! Lol ! Claire would be smiling right about now . Nice job , & merry Christmas to all who frequent the Iron Trap Garage ! Stay warm ! Baby , it's cold outside !
What an amazing car, she is indeed "beautiful", and what a life she must have had with that lady owner! It would be so cool if you could get a photo of that previous owner to show with the car!
The 1934 5Window coup was a find. Blown engine was not what you wanted. But having another engine available was really a plus. Matt I have enjoyed your videos all the time. Because of the care you give them. Blessings! And Merry Christmas to all! ✝️🎄❤️🎁
Merry Christmas am really glad to see a video up today, what a great surprise. Only wish it was me on that ride along. Beautiful has come a long way, glad to see she found a good home. I am living a dream through you, my friend!
I love Iron Trap Garage because you guys are enthusiasts with a love for automotive history. You take barn cars and get them back on the road without the big bucks and fanfare of others in the business. You guys are into hot rods (and why not?), but you also acknowledge the history and the value of an intact original car. "Beautiful" is such a car, and I know that you will preserve an old classic like this... Owned by a little old lady no less!! I like it when you get an old Hot Rod up and running or do a period build on an old chassis/parts pile too. You guys are Professionals. I lget a little excited when you go on a treasure hunt in an old warehouse or barn and haul off a trailer full of treasure! ITG is unique, you go Guys!
Nice to see this series condensed into one episode. It's a lovely car, I have a 33 5W. Merry Christmas, team ITG and here's to an interesting and satisfying 2023. Mart in England.
Mike Great job editing! I’ve watched every episode of “Beautiful “ and you did awesome not leaving out any important parts! Merry Christmas to you your Family and the whole Gang @ ITG!
I hope Santa brings the Hot Rod guys and gals a little something to help with their projects. Thanks for all the inspiration ITG. Happy Holidays to all !!!!!!
Great recap of Beautiful and her re-birth. Remember watching it. Merry Christmas to you, Kate, Moon, Mike, Steve and the whole Ironhead Garage gang, Be safe and stay well.
This woman loved beautiful, back in the day when cars meant something. Just watching your video I was thinking how she loved and took care of this car.
Thankyou for sharing this amazing experience whenever I see a vid like this it makes me feel really happy that people like you are still out there caring for these awesome vehicles... Happy Motoring....
Are you flippin' kidding me? I was born around the time when the guy you acquired it from bought it and this has been, and always will be, one of my favorite cars. To find it the way you did, to keep her and get her going like you did is something I have dreamed about. Thank you for sharing. Gotta get me a tshirt now!
Thank you for keeping your videos to about half hour. Everyone else seems to be running into one hour plus. I never sit still for that long and I like to watch something from start to finish. Others seem to enjoy showing welding flash on camera too, once you've seen fireworks once enough is enough. Clever editing and time lapse used to good advantage is the secret youve found. Good work guys and best wishes from an old school film maker.
Some people talk so slowly that you can change the playback speed up to 1.5 and still understand them. I've been doing that for over two years. Click on the gear icon.
Nice find , I grew up restoring 1932 34 ford roadsters 5 windows and 3 windows . love the flatheads . my first vehicle was a 1935 Ford pickup with a merc motor . Wheels of times Massachusetts.
You find some of the coolest stuff..amazing how old cars fire right up after sitting for so long... I bet the cars nowadays will never do that..appreciate yah. Keep up the hard work
Always love "rescues" of old Fords. Jealous mine wasn't a hot model. 1935 Ford Town Sedan 4 door, 85HP V8, was mine in 1956. Little old lady car that her son made her park it after a few minor fender dents in too short a time frame. Still had 1948 lic plates. Dark Blue, pale yellow wire wheels, old fashion seat covers from new. No driver lic (was only 15) and by spring '57 both heads cracked open with no AF. I got a "47 sedan for an engine, which I rebuilt with zero "how to". Mixed up everything and had to rope tow to break it loose. Never would run over 60mph, would slow down. Finally got a '51 110 HP V8 which reved like crazy, till it didn't.
Thanks so much for your outstanding efforts in keeping classic cars on the road it's our duty as car guys to at least do one car so we can recycle ♻ our past with our future keep up your efforts sorry I can't support you financially but I will smash that like as many times as possible
Super badass that's exactly the kind of car that I would love to drive good dam deal😂
