My chorus is the first pedal of my effects loop chain followed by delay, reverb and finally a clean boost for solos. I prefer a subtle chorus. Having a pedal with a blend knob helps too.

That's generally my preference too. Thanks for sharing!!

Great video man! Chorus with dirty tones in front of the amp is cool for a nice texture.

Thanks man! Yeah it's definitely an option for more effcty tones...

The contrast immediately reminded me of early Alex Lifeson tones vs. his later tones.

I used to use a Chorus in front to try to mimic the Iron Maiden Somewhere In Time synth guitar sounds back in the day.

Definitely old school but has its place!!

It certainly makes a noticeable difference with the more saturated tones. I would always put all modulation in the FX loop - I prefer the more defined sound, but of course, you can do whatever you want!

It really does for me too. I keep mine in the loop but wanted to explain the differences and note there could be uses for a chorus in front. Thanks for chiming in!

Spoiled with 2 Roland JC 120 s (sitting in a closet - no room to break them out). Currently a little combo w/12 (one 12" speaker), I never use my chorus pedal these days - especially with current setup. Chorus sometimes gets added in post production w/some stereo stuff - but without at least 2 speakers from different amps not happening live. Great video thanks Dan 😊

I prefer modulation after gain. Especially in a WDW rig 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
