I find it mind boggling that the gt3rs kept up with the gt2rs all the way until the back straight.
I mean they are essentially the same car biggest difference is definitely the power so naturally it would be close in slow corners

Check the video description, second fastest after the GT2 RS. But not far off, despite the massive power and torque differences (to the GT2 RS ahead and the ZR1 and Viper ACR on the next places behind also).

Any car will never reach it's advertised Maximum Speed. Straights are just not long enough. Acceleration is a function of "excess horsepower" and the faster you go, the less "excess horsepower" you have.
163 into 10a is pretty damn fast
Critique: He didnt open up entry to T3 brake zone, 10a drifted too far right instead of holding leftside to enable earlier to full power thru 10b, too big lift T12 (didnt push 1, 4, 5, 6 as much as he could of). I did same time 1:26 in Cayman GT4 with 3/4 the power (but it did have slicks). He was smooth but was driving at 95% and a few compromised lines.

1.4 - 1.5 g on the corners is massively impressive, but yet with PDK is so boring even to watch... driver should put effort for such results as well not only the engineers...
When the goal is lap time / record-breaking and not the joy that the driver receives, you get PDK. Unquestionably faster. So funny to me that a person who buys a car because some other driver set a record in it, without pausing to reflect on whether they seek to break the record or have a really fun drive, and then comes on here (like the poster above echuch, for example) and disses people who prefer a manual transmission... just silly. I have a base Boxster that will turn laps at Road America in the same time that the greats turned them in 1955, but I don't pretend that makes me one of the greats. And if I swapped the base Boxster for an S with PDK and beat Sterling Moss by have a second (in a 60 years newer car) I wouldn't get on here and trash Sterling. Get out there. Have some fun. Drive what you want to drive. Maybe you'll pass me, maybe I'll pass you. Be cool about it. And if you think a GT2RS is fast, it is, but if we've learned anything, something is (or soon will be) faster.

What is a nubbie? Some kind of off-road tire...oh you mean noobie...Stay in school kid. That thing is made for the best drivers in the world. Get an old Bronco, or a GT3 Touring for 3 pedals. Your little bitch convertible is for 16 year old girls and dudes that like other dudes. Which is all good, just tired of the old give me a manual or nothing argument.
