my first time playing lies of p i got used to parrying after my first enemy encounter it was that easy for me but the game don’t force you to do it if you want you can run around the enemy or dodge them.
Died 100+ times to him on NG+ before finally getting past with almost everything upgraded... You didn't get touched once with base everything. This is ridiculous and very impressive!
I killed him first try on my original play through. He was definitely trickier on NG+ though. I use the two dragons sword which is pretty much like hacking if you can master it😂
@@cyaru2408 I Saved before Sophia and died over 100 times trying to beat Nameless on NG+ as I wrote... After I got those trophies and the trophies at the hotel, (having finally beat him) I reloaded my save and spent ~5 hours today farming on NG+... If you aren't aware, use the Arche Abbey Broken Rift Stargazer. From there take the 2nd doorway immediately on the right, take out the 1st guy if you want, climb the ladder on your right if you dropped it down, run past the big guy and to your left stopping before the braziere until the big guy starts running, after you pass the brazier (fire) it triggers the jester, jog to the 2nd part in the balcony where you can drop down and drop down when they're about to jump you, take out the guys down there if you want then climb back up - they'll likely still be fighting each other and, after one drops, take out the other and finish off the others on that level if you choose... You should use the Aegis shield unless you are great with perfect parry (which I am not). After you do this a few times, you'll have the pattern down and, if you have the P-Organ upgrades for increased Ergo and hunter's ring +1 you'll get ~25k ergo approx. every 3 minutes plus all of the good drops.... My point in mentioning this is, since I was having an insane amount of difficulty with the perfect parry, after I loaded my save, I farmed Ergo and got nearly every stat up to ~40. I blew through Nameless on my 1st try after doing so. Huge difference. I have serious respect for people who have the parry timings down and can use the 2 Dragon Sword. I just cannot seem to get the timing right. I've finished every FromSoft game except Fires of Rubicon - because it's garbage - so, I don't necessarily suck at games... The window for this parry is something I'm having a hard time with. Yes, this is a cheese method. Also, once you have the pattern down, you'll get ~250K Ergo every 30 minutes.

Yeah perfect guard is really satisfying :) Appreciate the comment, thanks! Btw, I have a different version of this fight (without Two Dragons Sword) if you would like to watch.

One word: FLAWLESS! What a fight 👏👏 How u are able to turn a hard game in some outer space difficulty?! Stunned with your skills. Saw your practice live and im so glad that u did it. U deserve it. GG
Dude, your parry skills in second phase are awesome.I haven't defeated him yet (still trying to deflect second phase attacks), but I really like this boss: the first phase reminds me of Sekiro bosses like Isshin Ashina, Genichiro and the samurai generals (with a little DS3 Soul of Cinder when he switches from holding his weapon like a sword to a spear). His second phase is much more difficult; seems like many compare him to Lady Maria but I haven't played Bloodborne so I don't know how true it is. I guess the difficulty spike in phase 2 is kinda like Blackflame Friede. I'm not sure why I've seen so many comments online criticising this games later bosses as "too hard" or "BS" ; personally, I found the bosses much fairer and learnable than Elden Ring's final stretch of bosses because the player character has a viable deflect and dodge with considerable speed. In Elden Ring, you basically just have the roll dodge; yes, it I possible to parry, but only some attacks and you often don't know which ones, not to mention mistiming one could get you instant killed most times.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts mate, I liked the analogy you did comparing to other souls bosses, makes sense in my head :) Elden Ring boss fights can be harder and more time-consuming to learn/optimize as RNG works heavily based on our positioning (in relation to the boss) and follow-ups vary depending on it too, however, once you get it (strategies defined), the execution is much easier than Lies of P! On the other hand, Lies of P bosses have a lot of different attacks (complex move-set) but don't work so focused on our positioning and follow-up attacks don't vary much, however, the 8-frames perfect guard window makes LoP fights more technical and less strategical, it's required more timing precision which makes the execution harder even if you know what you need to do :)
Dude i will never ever be this good, but it makes me happy to see someone has mastered this game. No glitch game, or anything. Simply awesome badassery.

I had to throw everything and the kitchen sink to beat him with whatever item I could throw at him & I pulled it off lol Props to you for making something that is hard for most look so damn easy lol I'm on NG+2 going for the third ending & getting the golden lie weapon.
😂 that’s your complaint? That from soft characters don’t have facial expressions? Why do you spend so much time looking for reactions? The focus isn’t on the character, but the boss itself in FromSoft games, who cares about a facial expression?
I'm stuck on Nameless Puppet at lvl 90, fully upgraded weapon, throwables etc... and you just do a flawless victory with nothing... That's I'm giving up gaming. Absolutely incredible.
Very nice. I've manged to parry maybe 80% of his P1, can't do those quick ones, 2/4 always connect. Great job on P2, Jesus that's impressive. Think this boss is closest to Sekiro style as it can be. Fluid parry-damage exchange. Hope they'll improve on that in DLC.
Best method I found was treating it like a rhythm game Most of his Fury Attacks start on 1 and hit on 4, the Skyward Strike lands on 6 and most in the first phase on 3
Amazing! Any tips for learning how to perfect block? I beat the game but I still can't perfect block...I'd love to see a YT explaining how to learn to be better. Thanks, and GG. Amazing work!
I'm copying some points from a reply I've made in Laxasia's video which contains some good advices: 1. Reset your level and invest almost everything in vitality to allow you to get hit multiple times without dying and some in capacity to allow you to carry more weight and add defense parts without being too heavy 2. Use amulets to increase HP, restore HP continuously, recover stamina faster and increase the weight limit 3. For P-Organ skills & slots, invest in enhancing guard regain recovery, lowering guard regain reduction, perfect guard regain recovery (important to recover HP with parries without attacking), auto charge pulse cells when discharged, add amulets slots, increase pulse cells and enhance their recovery, perfect guard cause stiffness breaking enemy's stance (enhance perfect guard destruction), lower weapon durability consumption and increase weapon durability recovery speed This way you can be on the fight longer and practice more efficiently. Then, you need to practice a lot to get used to the exact timing that you need to parry each attack, try to take visual and audio cues, like taking a mental photo of something that informs you that is the moment to press guard button or the moment that the attack comes. Each attack is different and in some attacks maybe is the boss weapon that gives us the visual cue, or the handle, or the legs, or the head, or the stance etc). A good audio cue in NP second phase (example: 06:00) is when he charges crouched and becomes bright red, I couldn't see properly his head/body because I was in front of him but from the start of the shock sound, I knew that was the moment to press R2. Other important thing is knowing the combos based on the boss's stance in order to know what comes next (body language) and which follow-ups can occur. Final note: just quickly tap the L1 button, don't hold it :) and thanks!
This is about as great a response, and tips that I could have asked for. Obviously someone like you has spent enough time practicing to be worth listening to and taking advice from. Thank you for the effort in your response (be it here or from your Laxasia video), watching people like you makes me better and knowing you are willing to take time to explain is much appreciated. This is insane. Amazing work! Btw I used Two Dragons Sword to get through this too, and noticed it has some sort of parry, but you're using it so often and without full-charging the heavy attack. How does it actually work? And is there a resource that talks about the special mechanics of Lies of P weapons out there?
Yeah, if I'm not mistaken this is the only weapon that has the charged heavy attack parry and works like a counter-attack breaking enemy stance/combo! I'm always fully charging the heavy attack and we need to time the press on R2 button taking into consideration that the enemy attack will coincide exactly with the fully charged heavy attack (so we need to press R2 earlier than we would do with a perfect guard pressing L1 button)! and thanks man :)
For me the Blind Man's Spear is the weapon I stuck to to the end because its heavy attack and charged attack can guard and perfect guard simultaneously if you time it properly. But I admit nothing beats the Katana if you dont want to think about timing too much.
I just got to this mf and after a few tries I gave up and just gave snake ass Gepetto the dam heart 😭If I fully run it back in NG+, I want to beat the puppet just to see Gepetto's demise. Well done beating the Puppet with no upgrades, let alone doing it flawlessly!

Most of the time was simply learning and practicing until I got confident enough to start the real attempts (which took me around 4 or 5 hours). I did some live streams showing all the phases of the process and I got this kill live :) Actually, I got this kill almost 2 times in a row but the first I got 1 hit (one failed perfect guard) haha Nameless Puppet is one of my favorite fights of all time, really love it! I kinda like Simon Manus too, but NP is on other level for sure :)
@@MugiwaraNoLima Nice! That makes sense, if you do anything for that amount of time you’re bound to get really good at it. I’ve done like 4 or 5 playthroughs at this point so i’m more confident at fighting him but he was really hard at first. Doing it with no upgrades is pretty wild though, that would take me a while to get done.
Beautiful
Good shit son
