  • As I was cleaning fog machines from Wisconsin Feargrounds, purchased at Froggys Fog today I decided that it would be fun to create a video on how I clean them and what I use to get the job done.
    The Use of white vinegar cleans the lines, heater element and the pump for years of use. this is how I do it there are many other ways to clean and preserve a fogger.
    Enjoy and thanks for watching.

    Gotta love white vinegar! It cleans anything!!! Great to know instead of buying official cleaning fluid which is expensive! Great video!

    good idea for a video.
    I neglected to clean mine last year and this year I had a think strand of sludge floating in my new fog juice when I ran the one... thankfully no problems but it made me do an extra careful cleaning this year!

    I made my own fog juice just now. I used 25% food grade glycerin to 75% distilled water. I haven't tried it yet, but I got 4 gallons of fog juice for about 23$. I only use my machine on Halloween night so, I think I probably have a lifetime supply. Lol

    We still need to clean and put all our fog machines away this year. We use the similar solution but I don't think I have ever really ran enough cleaner through to make sure all the fog juice is completely out. I'll have to pay closer attention this time. Thanks =)

    Can a smoke machine be used with disinfectants to spray homes business etc

  • @yardhaunt2000
    @yardhaunt2000 7 лет назад

    Thats what I do. a lot of people use various mixtures of white distilled vinegar and distilled H2O. just don't breathe it in it can be nasty. chavet also recommends running it every month if it's not being used. in which case you probably want to clean it. ^v^

    Can I use distilled vinegar for the same cleaning quality?

  • @ChromeOfTheFuture
    @ChromeOfTheFuture Год назад

    Does it have to be distilled water

    • @nickloss2377
      @nickloss2377 10 месяцев назад

      yes. you're really not cleaning it out with vinegar. All you're doing is descaling it. it's basically the same thing you would do with a coffee machine or espresso machine. anytime you have boiling water in and appliance, it's going to leave behind lime scale. you know the lake this stuff CLR cleans.... but never use CLR in a coffee or espresso machine or a fog machine because you ingest the product.. your coffee will never taste the same.. And you just don't want to be inhaling fog with any CLR taste. it just isn't possible to get rid of the CLR.
      so vinegar is a good way to naturally descale things.. So there's no point in using regular tap water and vinegar because I regular tap water is filled with the minerals that you're trying to clean... distilled water. nothing else. if you don't have any distilled water it's better to just use all vinegar.

    I know this is a old video, but I'm hoping you can help me, I bought my first fog machine and the instructions say indoor use only, I cannot take it back, can I use this outside if I can keep it out of the weather, Thanks.

    • @angelv3718
      @angelv3718 8 лет назад

      +lilac2484 Ive used mine outdise many times but make sure the weather does not wet it or get it dusty, and if you use it outisde the fog will disappear way faster then inside. But its not going to break if you use it outside, just dont let dust/dirt get in it

    • @InsideTheHauntIndustry
      @InsideTheHauntIndustry  8 лет назад

      +lilac2484 yes you could use it out doors as long as it stays out of the elements

  • @depecheroni

    So do you just empty the cleaning solution afterwards? Do I need to make sure everything is out of the fog tube?

    • @InsideTheHauntIndustry
      @InsideTheHauntIndustry  8 лет назад

      +linda mitchell i usually dump the reservoir and fill it with high end fog fluid. then store it a climate controlled basement inside a sealed plastic tote

    • @johnabstercarillo2391
      @johnabstercarillo2391 4 года назад

      But before placing fog juice back in do you empty what's keft of the vinegard and distilled which are left on the system until it makes a noisy sound?

    • @secondamendment8773
      @secondamendment8773 2 года назад +1

      @@johnabstercarillo2391 I would. You might want to run just distilled water after the cleaning fluid. You don’t want the vinegar sitting in it for a long time as vinegar is a mild acid and will eat at the parts if left inside the machine for a long time.

    Just an FYI if you use a fogger, never ever use the spirit fog or any other cheap stuff. I've used spirit fog juice for years, and I have an industrial fogger and 3 ground 400 watt and one 1000 watt and 3 normal 400 watt foggers. I've always cleaned them this same way, never an issue. last year I bought clearance fog juice from spirit the day after halloween and cleaned them and then ran that stuff through them. when I got them out this year out of my 3 ground foggers 1 worked. my 1000 watt worked, and all 3 of my normal 400 watt foggers didn't work and neither did my industrial fogger. The motors were bad on all of them, so I bought froggys fog juice and fixed 2 motors, and replaced the rest with motors from some other country. it's not easy to find motors for fog machines especially the cheaper fog machines, so don't use cheap stuff only use good fog juice. Froggy fog juice creates much better longer lasting fog and they have so many different options for fog juice it's unreal, so check them out. I'm not paid by them at all. I'm telling you this due to the fact I'm pissed about my foggers being damaged like they are. I cannot believe how the spirit juice messed up my entire set of foggers.
