Listen carefully to the way Dan Tyminski comes in punctuating the end of the intro and the beginning of the first verse. Listen carefully to the tempo. So tasteful but so powerful and from and from the entrance of just an acoustic guitar. Every musician on that stage is a master.
All my life I have been blessed with an appreciation for a wide spectrum of musical genres--from pop to Bach. There is, though, something special about Country music done at this level. Like Jazz, it is indigenous to America yet it carries so many roots and strands back to Ireland, England and Europe. Allison has a very pure mountain-country sound. You can hear the reverberation of Appalachia through her.
Two wonderful voices blended together perfectly. What beautiful harmonies. This performance is very moving and no doubt brings back memories for a lot of people, me included.
Listening to this duo I was struck with how totally unique each the their singing voices is! Tens of thousands of singers in this country and no one sounds like these two. But they sing together like pancakes go with syrup and I would listen to them anytime, anyplace and any song!

Their voices and the band with pedal steel is just an awesome sound, I love it all.
Just listened to this for the first time, and I am sitting here in tears. My wife passed away 2 and a half years ago and I am remembering the good times we had together over the 15 years we were together. Love this.
Listen carefully to the way Dan Tyminski comes in punctuating the end of the intro and the beginning of the first verse. Listen carefully to the tempo. So tasteful but so powerful and from and from the entrance of just an acoustic guitar. Every musician on that stage is a master.
Wish it could be like this today!
It still can
Great song,
The dobro player Is no slouch
Listen to that dobro...they are both incredible
All my life I have been blessed with an appreciation for a wide spectrum of musical genres--from pop to Bach. There is, though, something special about Country music done at this level. Like Jazz, it is indigenous to America yet it carries so many roots and strands back to Ireland, England and Europe. Allison has a very pure mountain-country sound. You can hear the reverberation of Appalachia through her.
I love you Allison. Your voice is like soothing honey. I thank God he put you in this world.
Love Allison Krause gorgeous voice
They both have amazing and soothing voices. Pure talent right there.
@Alison Krauss we love you
Two wonderful voices blended together perfectly. What beautiful harmonies. This performance is very moving and no doubt brings back memories for a lot of people, me included.
2 of the very very best, this is why she has more awards than anyone !
Listening to this duo I was struck with how totally unique each the their singing voices is! Tens of thousands of singers in this country and no one sounds like these two. But they sing together like pancakes go with syrup and I would listen to them anytime, anyplace and any song!
What a fantastic performance of that beautiful song! Thank you.
Alison & Vince is 2 of my most favorite artists. I have seen both of them in concert & it was wonderful. I have seen Vince many times & he has a great personality.
Allison Krauss has the most angelic voice. (I've had a huge crush since I first heard her.)
Tears my heart to pieces everytime I hear this song,I love you sally
