It is rare that a watch meets the hype surrounding it. The BB58 definitely does. In fact I think it surpassed that hype

I bought my BB 58 Blue last month and I absolutely love it! It’s my first luxury watch and yes you’re right - it does make you feel special wearing it proudly 😊

It’s possibly the only watch that I’ll never sell. The aesthetics, size, and that wonderful Tudor blue goes with just about everything I wear. I’ve had mine for almost 3 years and still loving it!

I don’t hate them, but they’re not at the top of my Tudor list. I’m currently saving for the Tudor Ranger, which to me, is the best Tudor to buy. And I know many people hate it and say it’s boring. It’s a purpose built tool watch and I love that. Enjoy the BB mate 😎

I like the Ranger too. I e seen a few at great prices on the used market lately too.

The Ranger is a great watch. Not everyone's cup of tea but I love the simplicity and you get so much bang-for-the buck. You either get it or you don't. Unfortunately, I don't like the BB range. The snowflake hands just don't go with the round indices in my opinion. The snowflake hands look good on the Pelagos models with the square markers.

Hey James ......former Tudor black bay owner here , now I own an omega railmaster , your missing a trick that I learned from the boutique if you want to open it without the clasp you put your finger nail under the bottom of the shield and lift .... It will pop the clasp open every time ,......your welcome

I bought and sold my BB58. I enjoyed it a lot and really put it through its paces, I actually totaled about 18hrs of diving time with it and it is a better tool watch than people give it credit for. I left it for the FXD and Omega Seamaster 300m, which I think are better watches for my lifestyle. I would purchase a BB58 or 41 again if they ever release a newer one with a date function, as I keep my collection small, and use the date function.

I think it’s perfectly fine to sell watches and move on.
I keep doing it and just enjoying that I had time with lots of different watches.
I’m not sure if mine will stay long term.
But will live and enjoy it until then.

Absolutely beautiful watch! Tudor in my opinion is the best bang for the buck luxury watch. I just don't work in a profession or live a lifestyle that requires me to have a watch this well made. A nice Chinese homage watch with a Seiko or Sellita movement is all I need.

I love my BB Blue. I wish it had T-Fit clasp and wasn’t so slab sided, but in terms of quality, it’s right up there with Rolex.
The blue is so hot, it’s a blue grey, which is perfect; best blue on the market.

The Black Bay 54 is the one 'luxury to me' watch that came to my attention because of hype. Wow, does it live up to it. All the changes/refinements over the 58 are all changes I like. Though TUDOR needs to produce half links!

Great review. I'm still thinking about this watch for a retirement watch. I'm wearing the San Martin homage of that watch today. I really like it, and it makes me want the Tudar even more

I love mine, because it's low key , not many people know what it is and it's discreet.
It can slide under a shirt cuff , it can be worn casual it can be dressed up it's just the most versatile watch in my view.

I have 2 BB58s - the blue dial and the silver case 925. Both wonderful watches. I’ve got more expensive watches but the Tudor hood their own - great vfm, history, looks, build quality. The 925 feels and looks like no other watch - definitely check it out !

Definitely tops for a luxury dive watch in this price range. But I would probably go Aqua Terra or Grand Seiko. They’re all way outside of my price range anyway so it’s a moot point. Let’s see what Addiesdive got for offer during the 11.11 Sale! Thanks for the great review!

I love mine! The effective clasp length is huge on the bottom of my wrist, though: one side doesn’t articulate, and the other side has very long scissor arms.

Interesting, thank you 👍. I've never handled a Tudor, just watched videos and looked at photos and I never really understood all the excitement about the BB58. Rivets on the strap, slab sided case, too much text on the dial and snowflake hands put me off the design, but I can see the in hand experience is obviously great. I still won't be buying one though.

I absolutely love the bezel on these BB'S. They look finer and so much better than the sub.
The massive problem with Tudor for my are those rediculously ugly oversized square hands! They ruin the whole aesthetic of the watch.
Please Tudor let us have a choice of good looking hands.

I own 4 Rolex watches and 2 Tudor watches (amongst others) and I can categorically tell you this is not a better watch than a Rolex. Even next to my 40mm Explorer the step up in quality of the Rolex is tangible and visible in every way, you are literally talking nonsense. I love my BB58 blue but the metal of the bracelet doesn’t even match the metal of the case as they are made by different suppliers. The crown isn’t grippy enough to operate, the paint and printing look a bit cheap compared to the thick and luxurious paint on a Rolex. The Rolex bracelet is much more refined, you can’t compare them, just look at the respective clasps. The 6 & 12 o’clock indices are really badly placed on mine and the 3 & 9 are a little wonky too. I could go on…not as good as a Rolex, nowhere near in fact.

Total rubbish. Mine went back twice twice under warranty for different manufacturing faults and the second time it was returned with a scratch on the case. Tudor can't even justify the poor man's Rolex tag. Never again.

@@WATCHingJames The only downside to ceramic that I see is that its brittle, but I have never damaged a ceramic bezel, only aluminium.
