God forgive me for taking so long to get into Bryan and Roxy Music. They were so far ahead of their time.
The Good Lord, is a forgiving Lord, especially when it comes to his favorite band😂😂
He was 30 when Love is the drug came out in 1975. He was 60 when he did this.. I think he sounds better at 60. Bryan Ferry is like a fine wine. Gets better with age!

I love this up tempo version.
Too fast for me. Loses the original vibe. Instead of being smooth it sounds rushed

In my opinion the original one is a little too slow... but this speed is ridiculous.

I love Roxy Music but this version is to fast for me personally, iv e been learning this song on Bass so was surprised when Guy Pratt started it as fast as he did. Sorry Guy because i do love your playing but for me this song has got to be a bit slower and feel the drug man. LOL
Agreed, the bassline needs to be incredibly precise for the song to still groove at this tempo. There is another version (from 2001, I believe) with a different bass player, that version COOKS at this tempo. The tone of the bass is completely different, though.

Way way too fast. Totally lacking in dynamics. Hate it. The drums and bass are way too light. Its lost all of its weight.
