A metallic taste in baked goods is a good indication that you’re using expired baking powder. It’s basically the powder that’s hasn’t reacted (produced gas) that’s giving off the taste. Baking powder usually only lasts about 4-6 months after opening and always check the date before buying
Trying to watch all of your cooking videos as well as the other channels I have found. You are quite entertaining for sure, the best personality for this!! Thank you for all you do. The whole paper towel roll to wipe your face is hysterical!
Hi Dave, those muffins look delicious. We will make them when our blueberries are ripe. 🫐🫐 I love watching you cook, you are messy like I am. Keep the cooking videos coming, along with the picking and flipping ones. 😊😊😊
omg, your channel is so amazing I love what you're posting! please keep it up this amazing job, and btw i really enjoy the way you are chatting with us, it seems like i am really at your kitchen lol
Those look fantastic! Next time put the muffins on the outside and water inside (my OCD just triggered!) you'll get a more even cook if you OCD those things. Same with most baked goods. How to know Dave's been busy... short easier recipe!
Great video! I have a suggestion for Easter, a bunny cake. (Or one of those cakes with the Twix around the outside.) It would make for some hilarious content. It would also be fun to get the family to help put final touches on with decorating.
The reason for the liquids separate is you can super mix it before you put into dry and not overmix the dry. Muffins do nit want to be overmixed. I beat eggs first on almost every baking recipe.
I usually have a few blueberries stored away for an added topping element (note this is after you put on the crumble topping and you put one blueberry on the center of it before baking)...
Yum!! Omg…the funniest part was when you used the WHOLE paper towel role to wipe your mouth ( 14:18 ) You’re a trip ! Hahahaha

Love your cooking shows! Please keep them coming.
Every time you look up at the above camera makes me think you’re looking into the heavens lol
We just made a double batch of these and used brown sugar instead and they are amazing. Thanks Dave
The best way to get crumbled topping use your fingers to do a pinch/rub

Crazy about your Channels. Keep it up. Also love the podcast. Keeps this old lady giggling for a few hours. ❤️❤️❤️
Omg those look fabulous. Doesn’t Sam do that with the paper towels too? Love this channel another great video.
Rumford (which you are using), is one of the few baking powders which does NOT contain aluminum.👍🏻
1:00 Perfect disclaimer 😆
Hi Dave! Could you please make the worlds best Dutch Baby?

Made them with you delicious

Alton Brown always said 13 turns ONLY to combine muffin batter.
😅 hahaha so darn neat. Looks so good 👍😊. U did it just fine ..
What do you have against a mineral rich diet? Gotta get your aluminum. Better in a muffin than eating can pop top tabs, right?
Hahahaha
Love the show, but I’d recommend editing with headphones on…your voice is only coming through one side
That’s Steelers math lol
