Despite the scored bores the block itself looks to be good. So why not have it bored to 4.3L and fitted with top hat liners fitted with a nice cam it will rev nicely and produce some decent power and torque. TVR offered such an engine in the early Chimaera known as the 430, I have a 93 one, there are a couple of companies such as Powers Performance that have the knowledge of the TVR 430 motor of course another option would be to build up the 3.5 with flowed heads, big valves, decent cam and modern engine management system. Be interesting to see which way you decide to go.

Eeeeeewww no!!! It might have similar bhp but would be MASSIVELY down on torque and driveability! You would have to thrash the bollocks outta it to get anywhere.
