It is a real shame that Netflix decides to cancel this show, it is fun, very entertaining, it is not common because it is filmed in a place outside the USA, it is unusual, great actors, it is not the same context of a common American show. For starters I never see, they did a good advertising to make the people known about this great show, but even so I've read thousands of comments like mine on various social media channels, I wonder what Netflix considerate for cancel a show?... because as we see, they do not take in Count the opinion of the consumer, user, fans, We only say that Netflix left us with a bad taste to cancel a very good show without finishing. LilyHammer Very good show!
They said that it was because the Norwegian tv company that made the series with Netflix couldn't afford it or some bullshit like that. The series was really popular, I'm sure it generated a lot of money! Makes me very upset that they cancelled it! One of the best shows
The way the last episode went I am glad it was cancelled i have never watched such a puke mess of a badly written episode the writers were obviously running out of ideas
The fact that this show has Silvio Dante from the Sopranos, Bricktop from Snatch, Inspector Moss from the Peaky Blinders, and then Thoros of Myr from the Game of Thrones, tells me that this cast is pretty decent 🤙💪
It is one of my favorite shows of all time. And the Norwegians made it... That's why it was mostly ignored in Sweden, where people can't stand when their little brothers are way better than themselves.
I feel the relationship between Norway and Sweden is good. The Norwegian series SKAM became a world phenomenon, and the Swedes and Danes loved it! Swedes have more quality films in their history (like Bergman and Hallström), and not many Norwegians would deny it.
@@EscargoTouChaud The Swedish arrogance against Norway is obvious. Norwegians read Swedish authors and see Swedish movies regularly and natural, while Swedes only do that as exceptions with Norwegian authors and movies. You can read the Swedish culture pages in the newspapers -- they don't care a shit about Norwegian culture, except when they want to point out the alleged racism and anti-feminism among Norwegian culture representatives. I can't stand it.

@@mattf5855 I’m not denying that James Gandolfini was going to be cast in Lilyhammer. I’m saying that he wouldn’t be playing “Tony Soprano”, as the original commenter stated.
I want to add a special moment. In the last season when the mom's dad was run over by a car. It was all unimportant, but it felt horrible to me. In the funeral, his daughter said "it was always me and him". That felt horrible to me. It's like me and my daughter. It's always been me and her. Since the day she was born. There's never been anything else. Me and my girl. That's it. The thought of it ever ending is ... unfathomable.
Norwegians being the descendants of Vikings I would've thought that their language would've sounded tough and guttural like Russian or German but nope, sounds almost as soft as French. 😄
That is partly false. Almost everyone in the show talks with an eastern norwegian dialect, if you ever hear someone from northern norway it sounds even tougher than German😅
@@TheRazerGamer02 I understand, so Norway has it's localized accents like on the Eastcoast of the US. You can go from one state to the next in the Midwest and the accents are similar but New Jersey, New York City, New York State and Pennsylvania accents vary quite a bit.
@@ExtremelyMoist Interesting. I am just starting to lean your beautiful language and it's always JEG they teach. 😊 Loving Norwegians since I was a teenager. 😁 Does that mean that JEG is somehow the formal/most acceptable form of "I"?
