Freediving for the first time in Sri Lanka! (my deepest dive so far!)

Sri Lanka is known to have amazing beaches and there are many water sports you can do here. From snorkelling with turtles in Mirissa to diving in Hikkaduwa, or surfing in Arugam Bay but one activity I was happy to find on the South Coast is freediving!
I started freediving in early 2023 in The Philippines and got to use those skills in other places like Borneo as well. But I wanted to continue getting proper training while I was in Sri Lanka.
Freediving is diving without scuba diving gear, getting proper training for this is essential when wanting to try it out.
So if you are looking into how to travel Sri Lanka and find your ultimate Sri Lanka itinerary and you do love the water why not try freediving too!

Hello Rachelle Jean, Hope you're doing ok. What a great video. I learned my freediving many years ago in Jamaica and Mexico. To get certified is always the right thing to do. Safety is of
the utmost importance for your protection and others with you. Before you know it, you will be teaching others. How clear was the water for your dives? Looked clear in the video.

when Sri Lanka economy was in danger and no one on earth was helping India helped with grants and loans of several billion dollars and still giving. Indian Foreign Minister himself went to Sri Lanka with massive petrol tankers. On July 08, 2023, expressing his gratitude to "trustworthy friend" India for saving Sri Lanka and preventing "another bloodbath for all of us" during its unprecedented economic crisis last year, Parliament Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has said that not a single nation has extended that kind of assistance to Colombo as done by New Delhi.
