I've been pouring over maps, looking for new spots to metal detect in hopes of finding civil war and other treasures. In this episode, I used a 162 year old map to locate a ferry that was operational before and during the civil war. As soon as our boat landed on the river's edge, we knew we were in the right spot. Hope you enjoy this video. Part 2 coming soon.

I thought that clam was two nymphs doing the HibbadyDibbady
Haha. I hear ya man. I've got everyone at work watching your videos man! Love your stuff. Would love to have you down for some digging on this location.
@@ZachByrd Thanks Brother, wish I was closer
Crazy First Find!👍 Coke Bottle
Wow just imagine being a soldier walking for days with 100’s of other men with the only gear they have on there backs. I would be dumping stuff along the trail too! Good hunting!
I like old bricks. Make a good door stop. Nothing worse than having the windows open and all the bedroom doors taking turns slamming closed. A guy could build some kool things if you found enough bricks over a lifetime.
In Arkansas you have to have a license to even handle the muscles because they are so rare now.
Old skip tooth bike Sprocket
Old bicycle sprocket, some good finds.
That’s a sword scabbard brother!
Looks like a bicycle sprocket and the mussel you found Indians used those shells like we use spoons today....congrats on that amazing straight side
I can not believe that Straight Side Coke was in great condition and what an Amazing hunt and Finds...That PadLock is old and freaking Fantastic 😳
Looks like railroad lock
Good to see you guys back on the river!👍🏻
Cool finds, Y'all 👍
Hmmm🤔
Five minutes in that looks like a BMX chain sprocket without the pedals. The 7:14 spot looks exactly like a old trap. Like a fur trapper trap. They usually have tags of brass on them with a name and # of the person. Cool finds. Loved the coke bottle.
I only just found you. But i sure hope youre keeping these places private. Its amazing to see such a pristine place like this. Id hate to see it ruined
Great finds, just letting you know that your correct on the Indians going to war the way you said. Just that, I only found one smoker point. The rest are kinda crude. All kinds of things to find here in Kansas.
That old Yale lock is definitely antique. The vertical piece in the center would swing to the left to reveal the keyhole Yale has been in business since the 1840s.
Another good video. I hope to be able to get out and do some creek walking soon.
Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
The first thing you thought was for a ferry looks like it holds a sword!
A nice antique lock! Good find. 👍🙂🇺🇸
I knew that was a Coke the moment Zach picked it up!
@ 11:57 "That almost looks like a dang prison lock"...
Ok, now tell us the story. As you know prison locks...
