I finally found a crystal Asmr that’s not like “these are good to cleanse your soul” type of thing
The airy, fairy, touchy feely crystal asmr LOL
my thoughts exactly. Chycho is great!
Jesus, Marie, they're MINERALS
Made my day 😂
ikr
Thanks for that bro good memories
THEY'RE MINERALS MARIE
You are the winner.
Jessie we have to make math
Fucking Frank XD
You guys are all funny. 😂😂😂
CHRIST, MARIE!
The Bob Ross of crystals and minerals. I love it! So, so soothing.
"Very small collection, right?" 1h 33m video. I ain't even mad.
He said his is a very small collection but he doesn't have access to them so he's showing his partners rock collection.
When I was younger, there was this parking lot lined with these flat rocks that would flake apart when you hit them hard enough. I would knock off pieces and find tiny crystals inside. Clear squared ones, some purple-ish ones and brown-ish black ones that I think were quartz or something. I still have them around somewhere.
I absolutely love the parts where you whisper or speak very very softly. The sound of the crystals and minerals gently tapping each other was also very pleasing! :)
Seeing you excited to show us the minerals and rocks was adorable. I really enjoyed the video ☺️. Thank you
The Bob Ross of Math and Minerology
your smile put me in a better mood thanks! lol
Cool, and you're very welcome :)

Same here. Thanks Chycho for taking the time to make this video and share these crystals with us. Very relaxing and I feel so much better from my anxiety.
Your very welcome. Having them out in our space does the same to us, very relaxing and lets us day dream :)
Amazing video! very colourful, magnificent looking crystals :D
always come back to your videos every few months
Really enjoyed this show-and-tell with your crystals, Chycho! :)
:)
I too have a collection and would absolutely love more videos like this. Lessons, discussions, more crystals, ect. :)
Noted, I'll see what I can do :)
Amazing video! Not just in the ASMR respect, but the informative content and tangents as well! Truly, I'm joyfully looking forward to viewing more of your videos, you have an extremely refreshing manner of speaking/thinking/explaining. Absolutely invaluably skilled at communicating complex information to the non adept. Thank you!
You're very welcome, it is a pleasure to share. Peace :)
Recovering from wrist surgery currently in quite a bit of pain, but this plus whiskey and pills is the perfect tranquilize. I'm learning and intoxicated :)
Speedy recovery, brother, and cheers ;)

Jesus christ, Marie
FRENCH CANADIAN
I'VE BEEN TRYING TO PLACE YOUR ACCENT FOR WEEKS! 🤣
Damn this video is ROCKS
Chycho- the very first crystal ball you showed, with the faint grey and faint purple coloration looks like it would be amethyst.
That it does, an amethyst sphere at 10:14, thank you :)
Hi Lydia, I've been informed by my partner that the first crystal ball is actually an Ametrine Sphere. We were close :)
+chycho Cool Beans. Rock on 🌠
I'm a silversmith who works with many many types of crystals and minerals (I LOVE stones with dendritic inclusions) and this video was so comforting and fascinating. I love your voice and the fire in the background. Perfection.
Thanks for the love, Alexa. Peace :)
you always look so happy, it makes me happy :D
I do really enjoy making these videos, and thank you for being here, I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for the love. Peace :)
Love the fact that you listen to your subscribers and showed us a different collection. We are not interested in what you have, we are interested in you as a person. Great stuff tks!!
Thanks, Nicky, that's a very nice thing to say :)
...and it's my pleasure. Peace :)
The crystal with the angle is garnet beautiful
That it is.... Also, if you look at the description of the video I have a list of all the ones that have been identified so far, thanks to all the comments here :)
you see like a really happy guy :) i enjoyed this video! thanks
You're very welcome. Peace :)
love this one
Hey Chycho - I know lots of the names for these stones and crystals, but I'd forget them quite happily for your amazing mind for math and science ! I wish I'd had a teacher like you, back in my school "daze". By the way - AWESOME crystals ....and excellent ASMR !
Thanks for the love, Ric :))
So this is what Zakhaev was doing before he got his arm blown off by Price eh
Thank you for this awesome ASMR video. I love your slow motion handling of the stones and other objects you shared here, plus your low voice in the background. Very relaxing and I fell asleep about half way into video. Much appreciated...Friends, Lloyd.
Thanks, Lloyd, it was fun to share, that's for sure :)
You are awesome!!
Your partner has a beautiful collection.. I collected for a short while. Wish I would have stayed with it. New sub here.. Take care and God bless
Thanks, Greg, and welcome to my channel :)
Long live Chychonia!!!
haha... Love your user name! :)
You should make a part 2 when you get access to your own collection!
You've read my mind, and must have seen my "to do list". I've pulled out my collection and it's ready to be shown. As soon as we get some comic book videos done I'll be doing a follow-up to this and showing you my collection, which is way smaller than this one but there are some cool stuff that I would love to share :)
chycho Oh yeah! Cant wait for new comic book videos too! 👍
:)
Great vid man
Thanks, Hayden. Fun to do :)
awesome video!
Just stumbled across your channel. Great stuff man you got another subscriber :D
Cool, welcome to my channel :)
You. Are. Awesome!
:)
Very awesome!
Chycho Just discovered this video. Would never have guessed you had a mineral collection. I greatly enjoyed it. I studied Geology at school and come from a long line of miners. I did well at geology but didn’t pursue a career in it. Sometimes think I should have.
Galena (PbS) is my favourite.
Love Galena as well. As for geology/geophysics, personally, one of the best decisions I've ever made, had a large part to play into who I am today.
I love how you don’t know the name of your crystals that’s how you know it’s real love
Very interesting video !
I believe the green mineral stone at around the 14 minute mark is Aventurine
That looks very close, great eye, but I think this one is actually Green Calcite, that's what my partner, it's her collection, told me. I'll show her the pics of Aventurine that I looked up, she'll be super interested. Thank you :)
Very nice collection man (:
Thanks, we love them :)
Hi, thisChycho....welcome to my... (smirks)... crystal meth collection....ryte.....
What is a specimen you'd really like to add to your collection? Thank you, long time fan. It's takes me about an hour to fall asleep and you so consistently put out incredibly high quality, fascinating videos upwards of an hour. So much respect and appreciation your way. Peace.
I really can't say that I have a specific favorite crystal or mineral. There are just certain ones that appeal to me. Sometimes they could be perfect crystals, sometimes not. That said, I have always loved Tourmaline and I do love certain Feldspars.
...and thank you for the complement. I love doing this, for multitudes of reasons, but it really just comes down to sharing for me. It feels amazing :)
+chycho I've been thinking of picking it up myself! My love for gathering and sharing miscellaneous knowledge is a huge part of my interest in your channel; perhaps I can share something you'd enjoy as well
Would love it, could be the start of a beautiful thing.
*Beautiful Crystal and Mineral Collection.* The bubbly one is at 17:54 hematite i think. 22:57 on the quartz crystal looks like Rose Pink Rhodochrosite. At 32:37 looks like a Obsidian Arrowhead. (like in Teotihuacan, Mexico) at 33:52 is Augite i think. Tibetan Quartz is know to have black spots occlusions within them. At 39:33 Onyx ball maybe. At 40:44 sugilite Maybe, At 52:15 agate, 52:45 Pyrite, 54:15 Amethyst, 1:00:57 (blue) Agate, 1:02:19 citrien, (and a lot of beautiful Quartz) Wow nice Big Quartz at 1:07:57, 1:15:34 Lapis, 1:29:41 Nice Natural pyrite cube on a rock. 1:31:14 Blue Kyanite. I wonder if I guessed couple right.
only realised that the video was an hr plus when i saw your comment
Oh wow! Thanks, Sunbeam. I didn't see this comment until now, thanks to Virgil commenting. For some reason youtube auto comment macro didn't send a notice. Much appreciate it :)
Yes i had the same thing with some comments strange. I think i got most of the minerals and Crystals right.
I think you got a lot of them, I need to check with my partner on that though, it's her collection and she does know it well. Waiting until the end of the school year before doing that, exam season just kicked in... oh the math :)
Thanks again for the list, saved me a lot of time... Peace :))
Your welcome my friend. Exam season Always a busy time.
Great success with this latest video. Hope you've settled into your new place. :)
Thanks, brother. For sure this video is getting a lot of love. Awesome! :)
As for settling into our new space, going very well. Almost set up, just having a slight delay in finishing because of end of year exams. Working with my students is taking up a lot of time, so much so that I wouldn't even have time to shoot or edit any vids for a couple of weeks... poop :(
... that said, I'll be on this basically full time for the summer, and very much looking forward to putting together some of vids on my list. Should be a blast :)
Cool man I can't wait to see what stuff you come up with.
:)
It kind of reminds me of playing Knytt Underground, it's a massive game that takes place underground and there are crystals you can find. I think it's the most relaxing game ever created.
I just looked at a few screen shots of Knytt Underground, looks beautiful.
This is chycho, welcome to Soviet Russia
Did treasures of the earth do something like this different crystal each issue
I believe your first sample is malachite and azurite. The sample at 11:32 is fluorite - a product of hydrothermal fluid percolating through the granite bedrock. A very fine sample indeed.
thank you :)
All this time I thought you looked like someone and I couldn't figure it out.. I think you look like several people. And one of them is Hector Elizondo when he was in the Princess Diaries! Love that you're always smiling.
As far as I see it, life is definitely worth smiling about, not just because of how sweet it can be, but also about its absurdity.
As for Hector Elizondo, fantastic actor. I haven't seen Princes Diaries though so I might check it out just because of this comment... must know :)
That was a nice garnet. Isometric.
That it is :)
Love this video, Chycho! I wondered if you had any plans for a video with your partner? I can't help but feel she's also very interesting, it would be cool to see the both of you present something you're passionate about.
Thanks John, I really enjoying this video as well, got to love the collection :)
As for my partner, she is shy but we have done three vids together, two are on the beards playlist and one for Math in Real Life. Here they are:
math: ruclips.net/video/oWGGUOIk4Ds/видео.html
Beards, Part 1: ruclips.net/video/2ObbgoTeNLg/видео.html
Beards, Part 2: ruclips.net/video/UJG24HTQm68/видео.html
... and I'm try my best to see if she would be into doing more, which I think she will be for the right topic, maybe. I think the growth in the subs and the number of views the videos are getting now might make her think twice :)
i love the round ones... did u make them yourself or u just purchase those like that..... i have seen many statues to put them but like i see its seems a little bit difficult to do those cuts and shapes.... nice collection and display!!!
Thanks, Lord. As for the round ones, no, we don't make them. We bought them like that.
Very nice collection. Unfortunately, you will never be able to invite superman to your home with all them kryptonite looking rocks you got there. Very fun video though. I'm digging the different variety of stuff you collect.
haha... luckily I have a lead box to put them in :)
... as for the collections, thanks, enjoy them very much as well.
So I have a mineral i have no clue what it is I actually looks and feels like obsidian but its somewhat clear/see through and its dark green almost like a green beer bottle
Could just be olivine rich obsidian?
fools gold = pyrite
i got tingles in the top of my head 😂
Dude look at the top of his head heaaaaaaaaaaaa hahahahaha heaaaaaaaaaaaaa
+Master Gamer i dont get it ☺
+unknown mind Hairless, hilarous comment...
Coolest guy on You Tube hands down. Your comic book collection is amazing. You've helped to rekindle my love for the hobby and now I see you collect crystals as well which is also a big interest of mine. Just wondering if you have ever seen the TV show "Prospectors"? I believe it comes on the Weather Channel.
Thanks, Eddy. Love sharing so it is awesome to see others enjoying the same. As for Prospectors, no, never seen it. I'm guessing it's work the watch? Yes?
For me, since the comic book world exploded on the networks I've mainly been focused on watching comic book related shows and movies. So much out there.
Oh yes check it out it's basically about four or five groups of people in Colorado that mine crystals and gems out of the ground and off of Mount Antero. I hear you on the comic related shows though as I can't get enough of Comic Book Men the Kevin Smith show about Jay and Silent Bob's Stache in Red Bank New Jersey. I'm sure you've seen that one.
I just finished watching a couple of clips from Prospectors. Wow! They are not taking it easy on that show. Yikes!
As for the other shows, I've watch some random segments but haven't been following the shows. Love jay and Silent Bob's movies, the early ones anyway. Might be nice to get a taste of their work again.
Hi Chycho!
Big fan of yours. I was also an aspiring Earth and Space scientist and was wondering if there were any good beginner books on geophysics that reads like a normal book, and not so much like a textbook if that makes sense.
For sure it makes sense, zak, and a great question, but unfortunately I don't. Wish I did. Some of the courses I took were even just booklets put together by the profs, and most were not good. There are good earth science books though, those I enjoyed a lot, but the geophysics I mainly learned by doing. Setting up surveys, collecting data, analyzing and interpreting the data, etc. The geophysics part, I usually just considered math, and most of that I learned outside of the geophysics classes.
That said, geophysics is basically using instruments to collect some sort of data, which you then use to learn things about the area of interest. It's very much like what they do in medicine, use instruments to see inside your body. In geophysics you just use instruments to see what's inside the earth, or out in space and other planets.
@@chycho Thank you so much that was very helpful and inspiring. I am so focused on learning so much that I forget the most important part is to actually go out and experiment with Earth instead of just reading about it.
I love your work! It's appreciated and loved by many.
Thank you for the love, zak, very much appreciate it.... by the way, just in case you haven't seen this, here is a video I put out sharing some stories and some of my experiences as a geophysicist. Thought you would find it useful: "Talking about Geophysics and Preparing to Make Elderberry Liqueur" ruclips.net/video/8gtpnlVb31U/видео.html
Hey Chycho...
I am amazed u do lots of different variety of amazing videos.ur knowledge is vast..
Yours and mine hobbies r same...I too love collecting plants and stones as well coin collection and as well stamps from childhood...but I lost all my stones as I got married and my family didn't knew what to do with it...sadly don't know where all went...Now I want all of them but God knows how I can get or buy different types of crystal..if u know any place I can buy let me know..
Oh no! I've lost a few collections over the years as well and it sucks, big time. What I usually end up doing is slowly build up again, which is what it sounds like you want to do. Unfortunately, I don't have any good sources for crystals. One thing I have done in the past though is look for rock/mineral/crystal deposits/quarry's in my area and go hunting for them. Not sure if that's viable anymore since I did this a long long time ago but it might be a good place to start, and it won't cost very much except for time.
Very true...but unfortunately I have 3 tiny kids...cannot manage to go haunting...anyways thanks for your prompt reply ...And appreciate ur sweet replies too..
Oh ya, it would be very difficult to go crystal hunting with three little ones, would be very cute though. Maybe when they get older.... and it's my pleasure, Zara, happy new year to you and your family and loved ones. Hope you have an amazing 2018 :)
The sphere is amethyst nice color
Thank you, we love it :)
Beard game strong 💪
Hey chycho I have tests coming up and was wondering if you could do another segment on quadratic equations thanks:)
I've actually done a lot of videos on quadratics in The language of Mathematics playlist. They basically start in Series IIIa with Videos #78 and #79. They're not as chill as ASMR Math but they do cover a lot of material. Take a look at them and see if they'll help you out. You can find the Table of Contents here: chycho.blogspot.ca/2010/01/language-of-mathematics-table-of.html
The videos do jump around a little bit and you'll find it continues into Series IIIb. Let me know if you need any help and if there is anything that you can't find and I'll see what I can do to put it all together for you. Cool?
Here is Video #78: ruclips.net/video/tdQiGcac5dY/видео.html
And video #79: ruclips.net/video/hhK5iSqIOaM/видео.html
+chycho thanks a whole lot your form of learning I find is much better than my teacher who flys by it and just saying see it's easy and I'm there pondering how they got to where x= (any number I.e. 7
You're very welcome, mikey, let me know if you need any help.
Hey chycho quick question ! When you traveled, did you break these minerals and such off yourself and do the polishing finish on them etc, or did you pick them up from places you traveled like shops and such :D
Great video, very very cool stuff. Thanks!
I haven't done any polishing. As for my collection, some of them i picked myself, found them in rock quarries or mines, and some I bought in small mom and pop shops from small towns.
Thats so cool! Thanks for sharing with us :)
You're very welcome, it's a pleasure to share. Keep in mind though, these are my partners crystals, I think she did buy a lot of these, and she might have actually polished some herself. She is a full blown crystal aficionado :)
Awesome to hear!! :))
Think about how long these rocks have existed for to eventually have ended up in your hands and on this video.
I think the green one is fluorite but I'm not totally sure
I think the first one is azurite...
Ya, good eye, I think it is and there are a few other people that confirmed this. I have the ones that have already been identified listed in the description with their time stamps, so a huge thank you for helping out in this. I think there are only a couple left that are still unknown.
another great, tingle inducing video. on a fairly unrelated note, DC is releasing omnibus versions of both the George Perez and Greg Rucka runs of wonder woman, as well as an 800 page collection of her golden age stories. If you ever wanted some great, instant WW collections, I cant reccommend pre-ordering those on amazon enough. And the Gail Simone trades are top notch too. Any opportunity I have to turn people on to good WW stories, I take it.
Thanks, brother. As for the Wonder Woman collection, 800 pages of Golden Age stories, not bad, not bad at all, depending on the price of course ;)
chycho i believe it is 60 dollars hardcover.
That's a fantastic price. Price tag on Justice League #50 that i just bought is $5.99, pretty sure $60 for classic 800 page hardcover collection blows that out of the park as far as deals are concerned. Thanks for the heads-up.
Looks like you can get it for $47... COOL! :)
chycho thats great. you havn''t truly experienced comics until you read about amazons riding giant space kangaroos
Are those spherical crystals man-made or are they just naturally like that? Those are so sick
They are man made, cut and polished to look that way, and definitely sick :)
Are those crystal balls made round naturally or man made, polished?
Man made.
dang those biceps
The mineral at 17:49 is called Haematite
Cool, thank you :)
chycho no problem! This video has been really interesting as a geology student and also very relaxing!
Cool, on both counts. I remember my school days well, so much info we know about the earth and so much still yet to learn. Love the earth sciences.
What's ur ethnicity chycho? U must be middle eastern or something? Loved this video BTW!
From around that area. I usually tell people I'm Canadian-Armenian-Iranian (or a different order of these three).
chycho that's funny, I thought u were Mexican for the longest time till I saw ur old videos
You're not alone, joanne, a lot of others have thought that about me as well... along with Pakistani, Czech, Indian, Irish, Spanish, Greek, and what not... guess that pretty much sums up humanity, we're pretty much all the same until we are told otherwise by the powers that be :)
chycho u do have a very peaceful vibe about u, plus chycho is a very Hispanic nickname :p
How about printing comic book pages on rocks?
Rock'n Comics. Why not :)
I think the one at 13:40 is green fluorine, not sure exactly though.
Looks like that one is actually Calcite.
I had to double glance there, my phone didn't display the whole title of this. It had ' lets take a look at crystal and m' , I thought this was going to be about something entirely different.
lol... well, they are sort of along the same lines ;)
you should have told us what they do, like Luck +9, HP + 250 etc :D
Is the first one an azurite ??
That's right, Azurite. I believe there are three of them here, copper minerals.
24:42 Celestite. I think.
Awesome! Looks like that's it. Thank you :)
its all about the hematite
that's it, hematite :)
13.50 kryptonite? :)
haha... better keep it face just in case Doomsday shows up again :)
We gotta warn superman! This guy gots kryptonite! :O
17:30 , 35:49 , 48:17
46:04 that would work great as some glass.
That it would.
Maybe make it some sort of natural window for a birdhouse or shed?
Do you charge any of them very often? (For plant health and growth, etc.)
I'm not sure what you mean by "charge"?
+chycho sort of like putting them in the moonlight overnight to charge energy inside the minerals themselves
oh, I see... I don't do it intentionally but they do get exposed to the sun and moonlight since a lot of them are placed in our open space. So intentional charging, not by me, but my partner does at times, during a full moon especially, she does place a few of them by the window for full exposure.
+chycho that's amazing! Thank you for the video!
You're very welcome. Peace :)
You shouldn't get too close of your fire place because I could felt very powerful fire energy when you approach it just so you know
You mean it's not good absorbing that energy? If not, why? Thank you for any info you can share.
11:30 I think that's malachite
That might be it, will have to dig a little deeper on that one. Thanks.
dont know why im here but all i see are breaking bad references
A crystal collection you say? Crystal blue persuasion?
nice song :)
