    fun fact; in Australia when this came out the government run youth radio station (triple j) was the only radio station in the world playing this song (reportedly) which didn't sit well with the government so they banned the song from being played. In protest the radio station played Express Yourself by NWA for 24 hours strait.

      Ice Cube did a ton of movies.
      Dr. Dre stumbled on Snoop Dogg,Eminem and produced them. That kept Dre in the spotlight.

I loved it and it helped me realize that my friends might be treated differently than I am. It’s like the states is going backwards. We understood that we are all the same and that it’s just a small few that destroy that thought on both sides. We need to get back to focusing on what matters. The government.

      Yeah our cops aren't so trigger happy cos they don't expect us to have guns. But the Justice system isnt fair to our indigenous people & the police seem to target them more often & more violently.

    • @shirazzza
      @shirazzza 3 года назад +1

      @@jadecawdellsmith4009 agree fully. I mean no one's grandma should be left in a paddy wagon up north in 45° heat while the cops go for food & generally don't hurry to get them out so they die there. No one's pre teen kid should be chased down & knocked off their bike by cops either. There's just so many examples it's sickening.
      I'm glad most people don't carry firearms though people seem to like to use their cars as weapons. But our cops are still getting militarised like look at the average copper with their vest & chest camera & what - 4 items to incapacitate someone.

    You need to see the movie “Fear of a Black Hat,” a mockumentary about a fictional group “N.W.H.” (“H” stands for “Hats,” in place of N.W.A.’s “A” for “Attitude” lol). It’s like the “Spinal Tap” (rock/metal mockumentary) of rap/hip-hop. The whole movie is on YT.
    Suggest Ice Cube’s tracks “When Will They Shoot” and “The Predator” from his solo album “The Predator,” his response to the 1992 LA Riots and general state of affairs. Also, the 1992 version of “Check Yo Self” from that album, which slaaaaps.

    Who doesn’t love some gansta rap?! We need NWA back! What’s so funny is I heard Ice Cube went to college lol but he grew up in Compton, and Compton back in the late 80s, early 90s was something else. I love Compton though. Regardless of your education level or whatever you’d still be harassed. That’s why I love Ice Cube in that movie, Higher Learning. “Show me your ID.” LOL So true.

    DJ Yella don't rap but he is the DJ of the rap group. He helps produce and engineer the songs. By the way you can look up his solo album called "One Mo Nigga to Go" and the record was a tribute album to Eazy after he died.

  • @michaelgrabner8977

    Right after Ice Cube left NWA, NWA released an EP called "100 miles and running"..that titel track is by the way also a hell of a track..But my point is, an other track on this EP is called "Sa Prize" which is part 2 of "Fuck the police".
    And by the way "Yella" was the DJ he didn´t rap he was cutting and scratching.
    And many here are suggesting Public Enemy "Fight the power" which is also a great song but I would go with "Black steel in the hour of chaos" which is about a prison riot + escape ..it´s from the same album "It takes a nation of millions to hold us back" and to be fair every single track of that album is a banger and was therefore officially selected as "Best Hip Hop record of the year" in 1989 and is for Hip Hop history a landmark/milestone..
