  • My last 'supervised' session to improve the strapless waterstarts, before moving to fully independent kiting. Wind was progressively dropping from 15 to 10-11 knots over 2 h, too little for my biggest 11m kite. A few folks on water on 12-15 m kites, little if any blasting and actions. The most important thing I’ve learned is that a quick waterstart is the best way to limit the downwind drift and resulting drop in kite power. Also, staying low and pushing the board a bit downwind at each power stroke was helpful.
