    I didn’t feel as tired as I do with HIIT or dancing at the end but I was sweating buckets, more than I do with any other 15 minutes workouts so yeah I guess it works

    This was a really good workout, but just so you know, I recorded it and burned 110 calories in total. It does vary for different body types, but just letting you know:)

      Heavier people or out of shape ppl tend to burn more. I'm guessing you are pretty thin

      I was curious about this too. I burned 70 calories (and for the record I had a baby only four months ago so I am not fit). Did love the workout though, definitely got heartrate and sweat up!

      pilate makes your body burn calories even after doing the workout! Also if you are thiner than others it could also affect how many calories you burned

    do you have any advice for not sticking your belly out? I have a tendency when doing ab workouts to kind of stick my belly out when engaging my core rather than pulling it in. Is this natural? Will it take practice to work on sucking in while engaging? Becuase I feeling like pulling in my belly button doesn't usually feel as much like using my core.

      same sucking in my stomach makes my back hurt which is what i thought it was supposed to prevent

      i’m not a professional i just had a similar struggle and still struggle with it sometimes while working out but the best advice or “trick” i learned was that while ur engaging ur core u should be able to breathe normally i was mistaking “sucking my stomach in” as “engaging my core!! the best tip that might help is to focus on ur posture and making ur back straight and putting ur shoulders back, this should give u better access to engaging ur abdominal muscles without “sucking in” !! it takes practice to really engage those muscles i’ve noticed!

    My arms hurts a lot! Is that normal? Im sweating buckets

    • @MovingMangoPilates
      @MovingMangoPilates  3 года назад

      It depends on which part of your arms are hurt and is it hurt in a painful way or just your muscles work positively. Please check with your doctor to make sure it’s okay to do this workout or any workout. If your wrist feels hurt then you can try modify the moves with putting your whole forearms down instead of only your hands in all four position or try another workouts that less intense for the wrists. Hope it helps and keep me posted 💛

    How do you track your calories ? This doesn’t seem to burn 250.

    • @MovingMangoPilates
      @MovingMangoPilates  5 лет назад +15

      Hi Kia, Calories burned based on your weight, intensity of workout, workout condition and so on, so it is different for each person. calories for this workout could burn from 145-380 calories depend on how much you weight and how hard you work on the exercises. I calculated for a 200lbs based on this Calorie calculations from equation: (METs x 3.5 x body weight in kg)/200 = calories/minute (circuit training, high intensity)
      Source:
      Ainsworth BE, Haskell WL, Whitt MC, et al. Compendium of physical activities: an update of activity codes and MET intensities. Med. Sci. Sports Exerc., Vol. 32, No. 9, Suppl., pp. S498-S516, 2000.
      Hope it helps!

      Yes Quinton, I’m so happy you asked. Everyone can do Pilates and get the most benefits from all the low impact movements. The person created Pilates is a man (named Joseph Pilates). Please let me know if you have any question :)

    250 calories ? No way

    • @MovingMangoPilates
      @MovingMangoPilates  3 года назад +3

      Hi a Christina, it depends on each person weight, there’s no one same calories burn for different person in different time and weather. It’s just a title to catch attention 🙃 To calculate for your body, you can try to check out some sites online.

    • @backto2000
      @backto2000 3 года назад

      I just burned 65 calories (know it’s dependant on my weight (64kg) and height(5.5ft) but the title is misleading for sure.

    • @MovingMangoPilates

      Hi Tomie, it depends on your weight and other factors, as everyone is different. You can only know the most exact calories when in the lab. You can try to search online for approximate calories for your body. I hope my answer helpful. 💛
