I know I’m late but I just found an easier way, might be the fastest to date. Stand with the PS5, turn upside down, and drop it on the ground, cement or tile recommend 😊
No, if you do that you will destroy your PS five and that’ll be money down during that is a stupid idea. You’ll ruin your consul be smarter, same with the guy in that video who hit his PS five with a mullet to take the panel off.
i dont have a rubber mallet but i took a sledgehammer to it and it still opened the ps5 ez a lot more random bits of plastic scattered through the inside than i wouldve expected though
I have a question… what do I do with the small silver metal circle thing that comes with the nail when you open a ps5 for the first time and are putting a storage? It’s too big to screw with the nail to old the storage thingy
I think you're talking about the silver stand off with a black screw in the storage area. This can be moved to one of the other holes to adjust for different drive sizes. Drives should be screwed to the standoff, not the board

I have tested this, it does work however acurracy is -50% because of the smaller size, and adds risk to your thumb getting nailed
