I don't consider myself a particularly clean person but seeing things like this being common makes me think I might actually be a clean freak
Naw that from someone who dont clean his place ever cept his videogames lol
@@stangerecordsllc3637no matter the design people is too lazy to clean their stuff
@@jarredkrum9894 from my experience the ps5 gets dusty way faster than my ps4 or ps3 ever has. I had to clean my ps5 because it kept shutting off. never had to do that with my 4 or 3 and I've had them both since thier launch.
mainly cuz the ps5 sucks in more air and also has alot more vents for dust to get into.
@@leopardskyI'm not an expert or anything but I'll say it's probably because the PS4 and PS3 don't push as much power out as the ps5 this would happen too me also until I cleaned it out but it would only happen too ps5 games not PS4 games

I have an air purifier running in the same room as my PS5 and it's been keeping the PS5 free from dust build up for over a year now.

Big dogs leave gardens of hair. My ps5 is 3 months old and when i actually looked at it i was blown away how dirty it was. I set it up behind my tv and forgot it. Until last night and it wss caked. Now i want a dust proof box for it.
@@TrollingHistoryDon't buy that, just clean it manually. If you place the cover when you play it will have zero ventilation causing it to heat severely. Clean it every month is a good start.
Naw its some nasty ass dog
Was gunna say the guy must stand over his ps5 and shave…
I can just imagine how filthy the house was. My PS5 is over 2 years old and wasn't anywhere near this bad.

Just two tbh lol
That console was released only two years ago and has had shortages since release. How could that one get that dirty so fast?
maybe they just have a dusty ass home and its kept in a bad place

Two years is a lot of time
@@diegoignacio1444 not long enough to get a console that dirty unless you live like a pig and don't clean
Could really use this right now. I haven’t cleaned my since I got it.
The best and cleanness way is to remove all electronics, wash all plastic parts including the heatsink. I do this every time I service consoles.
So I've been looking up and trying to find something on this. Are there people who will clean your PS5 for you? Because I want mine to stay clean but I'm not brave enough to take the whole thing apart
same best buy does it i hear
@@ashender823really? For how much? And how long does it take?
Idk, like i said ive just heard it
You could try the local flea market. But that’s a risk. You can ask computer places if they can clean it.
I use my fan to blow cool air into my PS5 works just fine sure it gets a little warm but it prevents overheating regardless
You're just blowing more dirt into it, just clean it
I’ve had my ps5 since before the COVID lockdown in 2020 and I’ve literally never had to clean it nor have I ever had to replace a controller, this was the same for my ps3 and ps4, I sold my ps4 last year in almost mint condition and only had to buy a new controller because I bought replacement buttons for it and didn’t realize you can’t replace the touchpad without wrecking it. Other than that I’ve never had issues with dust buildup or things breaking or no longer working
They should of made the heat sink more accessible
I clean my keyboard about every two weeks. It's so satisfying to see all the stuff come out of it! I need to buy some more canned air.
just cleaned out my xbox one x, following your guide.
got it done in about 5 hours.
looks brand new, and doesnt smell anymore like musty mildew
I had my PS5 since launch, and it is not even remotely close to being this dirty. Heck, not even my Wii U, or my SNES, and NES surprisingly is anywhere near that dirty. Cleaned the SNES and NES when I got them, and have been clean ever since. Always a good idea to keep them in a clean environment.
This also shows why you need to keep the room and the area the PS5 is in clean and free of dust and hair, because if you don't, its gonna end up in the console.
When I read comments from people saying their ps5 is overheating I am genuinely shocked until I see videos like this.
Had mine from Is lunch day and never looked that nasty. Just cleaned it this past weekend
A true sign of privilege is buying an expensive and highly demanded commodity and then not taking care of it.
I use dust covers for both my Series X and PS5, and clean them thoroughly every 6 months.
Always be grateful for what hard work and fortune gives you. 🙏🏽
I always put a strip of screen on the outside and clean it once a week. This has always kept my consoles clean as a whistle
Shout out to super Nintendos from 20 years ago still working first time everytime
Honestly it never ceases to astonish me how filthy some people live.
bruh it’s a console not a house, it’s gonna get dirty over some time and some people don’t know how to disassemble it so they get professional help

My looking at my dusty PS5 like 👀 you a real one PS5, running Horizon Forbidden West like a champ
Cleaning the hair and those dust is so satisfying😂
Great video I think since the consoles suck in air they need some type of cleanable filter
Then people wouldn’t clean the filter
@@jamezxh that is implied by his statement
"I'm just gonna come in here..."😳🤨 "...with my brush"😮😅
I have my ps4 pro since first day it came out. Opened it and it was very clean. Little bit of dust on fan blades.
Damn keep your room clean folks get an air purifier
I don’t have one and I’ve never had to clean my consoles, they all still work the same since I bought them, even my Nintendo 64 still works because I sold it to someone in the last area I lived in and they still use it to this day with no issue
When I put my extra hd in my ps5 after say 17 months I was astonished how clean it was and I wasn’t going mad in that time just little things keep it sparkling
There’s a whole human worth of dead skin cells and hair in that thing.
This was oddly satisfying to watch
What living conditions do you need to put these devices in for them to end up like this? My PS4 Pro was nowhere near as dusty when I finally looked under the hood 7 years later.
I’m cleaning my PlayStation 5 right now ❤❤️
Cleaning is always so therapeutic to watch.
They need to put removable filters on future consoles to prevent the inside from getting dusty. It would save people a lot of trouble.
Prime example why your supposed to keep them off the floor in a well ventilated space. Looks like that owner had his on a floor with carpet, under his/her bed covered up with dirty clothes. Yes if you have your ps5 setup like that then cleaning it weekly is probably a good idea 👍 or simply take the dirty clothes off of it and actually pick it up off the floor and place it higher up so it’s not sucking up all the debris off your floor!
Jus imagine my Xbox that I’ve had for 6 years😮
Where does the owner live? A dirt factory!?
Only thing they clean is their video games console lol
Look up the vid "spider living in my ps5" its like a sandstorm came over 😂
I mean I opened my ps5 and the fan was surprisingly clean after 9 months of buying it but just the plate covers were dirty and the vents where the cool air comes out
I got my ps5 the next day it was released and just cleaned it today 😂
Take used dryer sheets as they have anti-static properties, and try to fit them inside the sides of the Case as a layer to make use of it's static charges to pick up dust as it flies by?
Free video but a lot of people don't like to take a part of ps5s like you do
I'll never understand how people can let their stuff become this dirty... Especially the controllers - the things I've seen! I disinfect my controllers before I use them every time and they still look new. Even my PS1 controllers from over 20 years ago. Look after your stuff, people!
I’m cleaning my PlayStation 5 right now ❤🔥
I clean my PS5 annually and I have never seen it even remotely close to this. I see a thin layer of dust on the fan, and some inbetween the vents and that's it.
A LOT of that was Marijuana residue.
Trying to find how to clean my PS5, tool recommendations?
HOW?!
I got my PS5 when it was much harder to get them and I treat that thing like royalty. 😅
Man mine is almost two years old I have three animals in my house and yesterday I cleaned for the first time! It was nothing like this!
I've had my PS5 for just over two years and it wasn't even close to as filthy as this or others I've seen online. I'm guessing you own a cat, small dog, or other furry animal? While knowing how to properly fix and clean your own appliances is an invaluable asset, I've always been a firm believer that, in all aspects of life, from our bodily health to our belongings, prevention is the best remedy for all ails. I highly suggest that every PS5 owner invest in a nylon or plastic dust cover for their system. They are super cheap, and if you find a nonscratch one that's also moisture and water resistant even better. Even when your system isn't in use, dust particles are always in the air and falling through the fan vents. That accumulates over time.
It does makenyou wonder about the state of the owner's home. I have a dog and just finished a year long home renovation and mine was nowhere near as dirty as this one
My man is trimming his beard nest ps5
I cleaned one out that looked like a dryer filter, it wasn't dirty but absolutely clogged with fluff, so much so the fan was broke and had to be replaced.
Where or what device do you think its best to start learning how to solder and fix/repair? I bought a beginners soldering kit (Circuit board that lights up when you solder things together)
Thanks
I love cleaning tech !
What soldering iron do you use? I plan on buying a cheap station from aliexpress that supports t115 irons from jbc which are very very very fine soldering irons. What do you think? it'll cost me about 100 euros for everything
Imagine how the house looks
Could be a barber shop PS5. My friend has a PS5 at his shop and it's dusty as hell looking
Thanks for reminding us if what not to do but I really, really, REALLY hope that this was a ps5 that was mainly used for the particular purpose of this one video. 😰 This just goes to show that buying and applying a dust cover after waiting for a while for your console to cool down just might go a long way. (I can't speak for myself but hopefully they help prolong the lifespan of our consoles) 🤨
Is that a weapon tools brush ?! 😂
Just cleaned mine earlier and then this pops up on my feed lol
Didn't realize how bad mine needed a cleaning until it began powering off mid game. I guess it's a built in safety mechanism to prevent damage?
I think so
I opened my PS3 that i owned since 2012 a year ago. And it was pretty clean despite not covering it all those years, much cleaner than this PS5. I guess sony did a great job isolating the slim PS3.
Had no issues with my Ps5 getting that bad . Had it 10 months and found perfect solution to keep it free of dust and hairs. 👌👌👌
What was the solution?
@@Brandon_N420 for one keeping it on a desk or shelf and not crammed in a cubby or on a floor can easily keep it clean. If you have pets don’t have it where the pets can easily get in contact with it and get hair all over it. Overall keep it in a well ventilated space and clean the room every now and then it’s really easy 👏🏻
what spray you used for cleaning? i wanna buy one
where can i find someone who will fix my console like these videos ???
Always have an air filter in the room your have these games in. When I started using the air filter I barely have dust inside when I open the consoles to apply new thermal paste and check capitors.
My guy the average gamer does not not how to check captiors or w.e let alone the thermal paste😂
That's some high quality gooch
Should i use a soft brissle brush or one a little more firm
Do you ever sell the items you fix?
Hello, I have a digital PS5 and I have had it for 2 years. I take great care of it and clean it every 15 days, remove the covers, vacuum the console. but it started to creak very loudly every time I turned it on or off. Could you tell me what I can do?
It’s crazy how quick to judge are people. The console being dirty doesn’t indicate nothing about the person’s hygiene whatsoever. Living in a desert area alone is enough for even the cleanest of houses to get dust extremely quickly, or him being a barber or him owning a certain pet even.
Bro pressed the clash royale emote 💀
I love my PlayStation 5 so much❤️ but I love it even more because it’s not a PlayStation 4
Where do people keep their consoles? I have PS5 since launch and cleaned it just today. And it was basically clean
Cant think of how much would be in my ps4 slim😅
I had a friend who used to use her laptop on the couch and got the entire heatsink clogged with lint in like 4 months after buying the laptop. It was overheating so i cleaned up and it she did it again in next 9 10months then at the 11th month after being overheated for almost 5months the cpu gave up and died just before the warranty was about to end.
I cleaned the fan and heatsink again , made it spotless and then called lenevo for warranty. They came to her home and replaced the mainboard for free without asking a single question 😂
Dude that owned that PS5 had an afro lol
Just cleaned my PS5 fan yesterday for the first time in years since I bought it and there was no dust in there.
Any online courses to fix consoles?
I've had mine going on a year and a half. I'm still a little skiddish on opening it. I have done some cleaning on it though.
I don't really know how consoles manage to get this dirty. My ps4 I took apart after 5 years to clean it for the first time... I found one single dust bunny inside, the fan was clean, the fins were almost entirely clean besides the one dust bunny. And the air ports were also mostly clean. People must have some disgustingly dusty households to have that much accumulate inside
How does it get that dirty? And how many times should I wash it? I just got it a few days ago and I'm worried
Dang already at the point internal dusting is necessary, it doesn't need a lot of airflow for the powerful chips after All.
Depends where you live. Example i have 2 apartments. One apartment where i lived since 2016 till 2021 was soo bad you had to clean it every 2 days. It would build up dust like a mf. I was also living on last floor
(Its like i was living with pets) . I also own an apartment in a city where i currently live. There is no dust here. In both apartments have laminated floor.
I’ve had mine for two years and clean it every few months. The inside plates are black and look like it caught fire lol. Annoying because I’ve tried everything from baking soda to windex and nothing takes it out.
Use a strong base like sodium hydroxide you can either get it in a put form or mix hydrogen peroxide and baking soda on the surface
Wear glasses, gloves and keep an eye on it though it’s strong enough to etch glass if you leave it for long enough
Did you get this from dk oldies?
I've had my ps5 for less than a year. I've switched it to horizontal position for cooling and upkeep concerns. How often do systems need to be cleaned like this?
People need to clean they house to save the electronics from this amount of dust 😢
The only question that matters: do you think he kept it vertical or horizontal?
Besides showing us in the video, why not just wash the plates with soap and water then use rubbing alcohol on any stains? That’s what I do
My only complaint is that it should be easier reach the spot you can't get to with out taking part the whole system
I have a broken xbox 1 s, I may of spilled some dr p. I cleaned it ect but no luck. What magic do you suggest ??
I’ve never cleaned my xbox one in the 8 years i had it and it still works good stop the cap
I have a ps3 never opened it or cleaned it (too scared to clean the inside of it) I only clean the outside 😂😂
i have a PS3 slim model from 2009 i have never once opened it to clean it, i have dropped it once as a kid, it got sat on while my cousins played hide & seek in the dark but to this day it literally still works perfectly
I want a ps3 that works i got 2 that dont lol
just run a vacuum on it and can of air the lens.
@@gechotaris I'm sorry but that hide and seek part made me laugh to hard from the thought it was probably dark as hell in that room too 💀💀
