For all those saying we live in a dirty house. This PS5 is run for 16+ hours a day, every day for 18 months to test how it lasts, and part of that was not cleaning it our to see if it would overheat, that's what we do on this channel, we test things.
So when comparing this to your own PS5, take the hours it is used into account. I'm more than positive it would look no different no matter who's house it was in.
We also have a second PS5 in the house which is exactly the same age and was used in a more normal way, and when that was taken apart to fit an SSD you can see that even with no prior cleaning and video being shot at the same time, that PS5 has hardly any dust. See for yourself ruclips.net/video/E962wat0Juw/видео.html
So i hope that explains things for all those who are being abusive and rude and just shows why you shouldn't jump to conclusions and running your mouth off!
With regards to removing the fan and also doing the dust catcher holes. the holes were vacuumed out, but not shown in the video and the vacuum is so powerful that i managed to get the dust off the fan without removing it. This was done by covering sections of the fan opening with my hand and putting the vacuum nozzle over the part i wasn't covering, making the suction super powerful.
Why did i not show this in the short video? well i wanted to concentrate on satisfaction of removing the dust that you can see, not much fun in watching dust being removed that you can see properly.

You can take the fans out on these very easily, ive done it to mine and a friends and made them sound brand new. All you need is a Torx T8 screwdriver, a gentle hand and some patients whilst taking off the air vent fins as they can break easily. There’s a few decent videos on YT how to do it, would definitely recommend it! 👍🏻

@Bloofa exactly. All the dust, animal hair, etc gets clogged at the front of the heatsink. I learned this back when i had to clean the heatsink on my ps4 pro, it started shutting off in thermal protection cuz it couldn't breathe. U could hear the air forcing its way thru the dust and heatsink, making a jet-like whistle. Cleaned it and it was quiet. Recently did my ps5 which is how i realized ps5 takes in more dust than anything I've ever seen and my room is clean WITH an air purifier in there. Still had dust starting to build up at the front of the heatsink on those slits the air passes through. Sony actually designed ps5 to be taken apart easy so thats the easy part, so is removing the fan. Hard part is reaching the heatsink to clean it lol!

Like he does in the video and using a can of computer compressed air duster not a fucking vacuum 😂
2nd) the fan sits right on top of the heat sink that’s the whole point of a compressed air can they have thin nozzles that allow you to get the hard to reach areas so you don’t gotta take apart your shit. You don’t think the engineers at Sony designed it in a way that can be cleaned effectively from the outside? Most console users never ever clean there shit and they run fine for years. Try doing that with a generic cheap case PC and your pc will be overheating in a couple years for sure. Just stop spreading misinformation man your risking some dumb kids fucking up there console.

After 2 years you definitely are gonna need to fully disassemble the housing to clean the heat sinks. Within 3 years I’ve had to do this twice because of the power unit tripping/resetting and overheating/loud cracking sounds the second time. After cleaning both times the console was as quiet as a mouse and gave me and extra year+ of usage between maintenance. Plz show love to the heat sinks and not just the fan, you’d be surprised of how much dust is actually in there.
