Hi Farida! Just wanted to chime in ☺️ 'Sidr' is an Arabic word for a lote tree known in Arabic as "Sidrat al Muntaha" in complete. And also mentioned in Islam in religious context for many important reasons, plus in the Sunnah also as a tree with many medicinal properties, body, mind & soul. As for Rhassoul, it is actually spelled and said as "Ghassoul" also a Arabic word from Moroccan (Atlas) origin, which literally translates to washing/cleansing. Like Argan trees, it is only found in Morocco. (Which makes it special to us!) Also mentioned in the Sunnah indeed, because in those days people would use only natural products to cleanse themselves, hair, skin, etc. So yeah, both are very important for our people in more than 1 context and also very much known and used in Morocco since ancient times. (English is not my first language, so sorry for any errors!) Thank you for the lovely video!
Sis, I lie to you not...I used Sidr, shakaiki, with Brahmi, and Aloe for the first time today to cleanse my hair...and followed up with amla, fenugreek, marshmallow root, honey mask...My hair felt different initially, but felt strong and moisturized. Thank you for this video 😍❤😘
Hello, as a muslim women from Saudi Arabia we use sider powder weekly here as a self care for your hair and skin it is amazing for hair loss and personally i love it as a mask for my face and body and hair I mix it with yogurt and and honey.
Hellow from Papua New Guinea in the Pacific. My hair never passed my collar bone in my childhood, teenage years, 20s and 30s because of using straightening creams since the age of 11. I had bald patches n breakages and thought it was normal. I'm now in my early 40s. It's 3years now since I grew my natural curly hair and gal it's past my collar bone 😍. Your RUclips channel totally changed my outlook on hair growth and length. It's the best channel ever for natural hair care 👍👍👍👍
Never used Sidr but used Rhassoul for years. It is not for detangling and really great as cleansing. I do not prewash when using this clay so I don't find it to be necessary because it's my cleanser when I use it. It rinses out wonderfully and my curls are defined!!!! I mix with a cup of aloe juice and rosemary and peppermint EO. The mixture is liquid and I leave it on for 3-5 minutes in the shower.
Sidr is excellent as a protein. It is used in Yemen for various things but when used in the hair makes it strong, healthy, moisturizes and can be mixed with other herbs. It is often used during the hot days of summer to cleanse the body. I use Sidr as a shampoo. It is fabulous for my curly hair. My hair loves Sidr. It makes my curls pop! I mix it with water until it's foamy and apply to my hair.... let it sit for a minute during my shower routine, then I rub it through my hair as if it is shampoo. Rinse. I don't always needs a masque/mask after but I sometimes do use.
Thank you Farida you’re amazing as always! Yes Sidir is so much well known in Islamic culture! 20 years ago, I used it religiously as a hair mask every week! And the hair growth I have seen was insane! Even after I stopped using it so regularly my hair kept the length! It’s amazing I will go back to it but it’s more difficult to find here in America! Thank you for making such great informative videos!
Thank you for doing a video on Sidr!! Sometimes when I want ideas on hair masks I’ll go back and watch your old videos, and I saw one where you mentioned sidr. You’re slowly increasing all my knowledge!
I use both these amazing herbs once a week along with moringa, and my hair has never felt stronger. I also Love love love to use Sidr as a face mask 😍😍.
@@Leah_Tewari hi 👋 you can mix and apply all 3 as a face mask. I personally just mix Sidr with water and apply as face mask. Great results. It can also be used as a face cleanser! Look it up on RUclips.
Great comparison ! With rhassoul I always use it mixed with whole leaf aloe Vera juice . The aloe really helps in the moisture and slip department . I get the same definition and cleanse but it’s easier to apply and less drying. 💖
Hello, I’m from Qatar the middle east. Regarding hair care, Sidr and henna is very popular in our country, it provide the hair strength and length , and i use sidr mixed with coconut oil and yogurt as hair and body mask at least once a week…❤
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I’m at this very moment making your flaxseed gel recipe as I ran out of store bought. 🥰 I am LOVING these comparison videos!!! My favorite is rhassoul clay. Beautiful hair and makeup!! 💖
I hear both are very good for Seborrheic Dermatitis but the research I did had said if you are having a flare the clay may irritate the scalp. I do want to try the Sidr as a scalp and hair cleanser.
Hey there! Love your channel! Do you think you’de be able to make a video of what your hair regimen was like when you were pregnant. :) looking for a good place to start, but knowing there’s some limitations when pregnant. Thanks!:)
When using rhassoul, Amla & fenugreek I get define hair but when I follow it with a leave in it frizz up. My question is why? What does that mean? Is my hair telling me I have too much moisture ? I’ve been trying to figure this out Idk if I should style my hair w/o applying a leave in that way I can keep my definition. My concern is that my hair will be left feeling dry after it dries
If you want more of a slip can you add aloe Vera juice or powder to the Rhaasoul clay? Been trying to find the perfect cleanse for hair/scalp since apple cider and bentonite clay doesn’t seem to work.
I'm here after learning this narration: Book 3, Number 0649: 'A'isha reported: Asma (daughter of Shakal) asked the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) about washing after menstruation. He said: Everyone amongst you should use water (mixed with the leaves of) the lote-tree and cleanse herself well, and then pour water on her head and rub it vigorously till it reaches the roots of the hair. Then she should pour water on it. Afterwards she should take a piece of cotton smeared with musk and cleanse herself with it. Asma' said: How should she cleanse herself with the help of that? Upon this he (the Apostle of Allah) observed: Praise be to Allah, she should cleanse herself. 'A'isha said in a subdued tone that she should apply it to the trace of blood. She (Asma) then further asked about bathing after sexual intercourse. He (the Holy Prophet) said: She should take water and cleanse herself well or complete the ablution and then (pour water) on her head and rub it till it reaches the roots of the hair (of her) head and then pour water on her. 'A'isha said: How good are the women of Ansar (helpers) that their shyness does not prevent them from learning religion.

Same here I was going to try just spraying my hair with S Curl spray instead and see if this works
The Conditioner makes the hair swell because of the pH level causing frizz.
If you want more of a slip can you add aloe Vera juice or powder to the Rhaasoul clay? Been trying to find the perfect cleanse for hair/scalp since apple cider and bentonite clay doesn’t seem to work.
Yes, add a drop of glycerin too
Can you share rhassoul clay link ? Only sidr is available in the description.
@curlyproverz I just need this spray bottle because I can't seem to find a really good durable mister .. please link
Rhaasoul looks like it defines my hair I can see it
Do I need to use warm water to rinse it out or regular temperature? Also, how does it compare to Bentonite clay?

Nice video. Did I hear correctly? You said cleanse hair before applying. I thought this was for cleansing. Thanks for sharing.
I should have said rinse before applying. Lifts cuticles and gets rid of some residual build up
