    Omg I love this lady so much. She has helped transform my hair into something I never imagined I could have. Thank you Freida 🙏🏻 I have bought every single one of your products. The amla powder, henna, aloe mask, Amal masque, fenugreek oil. I love it ALL. You have changed my life. And I love you for sharing your knowledge with us. For free!!! You should be getting paid for this information. But you do it for free and I love you and I thank you so much 🙏🏻❤🙏🏻

    5:58 is the Shikakai wash. She did say that this one was the most nourishing from the beginning. I LOVE THIS ONE...I added some marshmallow root powder and up'd the lavender and rosemary to 15 drops each or I'll include onion tea/juice. The growth on my hair has been phenomenal!!!!!
    THANK YOU......THANK YOU....THANK YOU "CURLY P"

    FYI: don't let the clay dry in your hair!! It is a true beast to get out. Apply the clay and wrap your hair up if you don't rinse right away.

  • @uqox

    This is amazing. Might I suggest, if you haven't already done it, can you just do a "list" video? Usually just 3 - 5 mins and it just lists a beginner technique: 1. prewash, 2. co-wash, 3. wash, 4. after wash, 5. dry and go. You don't deep dive into the ingredients, you just set the parameters, if you're a beginner and you need an effective and manageable start to taking care of your natural hair, with my years of experience here's what I'd suggest." I've been natural for awhile without growth past my jawline. I need a repeatable process of what I'd do: 1.daily, 2. when it's time to wash my hair; 3. What I should be doing weekly and 4. What I should be doing monthly.
    I'm very impressed with your growth and your focus on natural ingredients but I'm overwhelmed a bit and hope you're willing to point me to a video that (in some way) fits the guidance I need above. As one natural sister to another, I hope you can spare a moment to help me at some point in your busy life as a youtube influencer and amazing mom and daughter! Peace and many thanks for your work.

    I never comment on your videos but have been following you for a while now. then as my natural hair journey changed and I big chopped officially recently, my hair has never been this short in my life!! I don't have the same hair type as you so at first I just left it at that, looking at others with my hair type (by looks and such to me) but still watched. I realized due to the nature of you doing Ayurveda I was like hello! that's for everyone! so I got the henna, brahmi, shakaiki, bhringag and fenugreek seeds and ran to half the Indian stores in town lol as one didn't have all. I'm about to do a henna mask for the first time ever in my life! I want to thank you for giving me hope and teaching about hair care in a way that won't harm anyone. in the future I'm gonna check out that shea cottage cause that was the most running around lol. gonna make the oils soon and give one to my mom too! thank you!!!

      Amy Campbell I feel the exact same way! she has so many great videos but it's kind of like I don't know where to start. if she has specific ones I think it would be a lot easier. LOLOL... You watch these videos and are like OMG I love them ALL.

    • @JayeJaye714
      @JayeJaye714 7 лет назад +10

      Hi Amy Campbell, the best thing to do is Google each of the products or you can join Hair groups such as Hairlista, where women may do challenges using the specific powders or herbs. Another great informative thing to do is to to websites like Mountain Rose Herb that sales these products in bulk and pull up the products, to see how each ingredient works. The BEST and only way you will truly be able to know what works best for you is to TRY THEM for yourself and see how your hair likes it. Even if you have similar hair pattern to someone else, no one product will necessarily do the same thing for everyone. I know personally, I am an identical twin, we look alike, sound alike, think alike at times, yet we can be as different as night and day.
      How I determined what herbs, powders and clays I wanted to experiment with, I first took an inventory of my own hair. My hair is soft, thin, fine, low density (put a few strands of your hair in water to see if it flows on the top (low density), flows to the middle (normal density) and if if flows to the bottom (high density), then once you can make the distension with your hair, do your research on what products are good for your hair. I want to strengthen my hair, grow it out and cover my grays that are coming in, as well as get some thickeness, therefore, I will be using clays (Rhassoul, Bentonite), Castor Oils (regular and black jamaican) , herbs such as Rosemary, Peppermint, Hibiscus, Amla, and a few others to do tea riinses and infused hair oils and use Henna, Indigo, Cassia, Amla, Shikakai, Neem, Marshmallow Root, Fenugreek , Rose, Orange and Green Tea Powders and built my regimen between a Spring/Summer and then Fall/Wiinter hair regimen. I will also be using oils, mainly Olive Oil, Jojoba and perhaps one or two others, and essential oils (peppermint, rosemary, tea tree). I know my response was long, but I pray this helps from one curly girl to another. Blessings.

    hmmm iwas waiting you to talk about Fullers earth. Fullers earth also called Multani mitti is also a clay extensively used in India for both skin and hair care. simply mix a teaspoon of Fullers earth with some rose water and a few drops of glycerine and you have a fantastic face pack. for hair its the exact same recepie but remember to make it a bit more runnier than a face pack so that it can be easily washed off . massage the paste on to wet scalp and wait for about 15-20 mins before you rinse it off. you may add a pinch or 2 of fenugreek powder to it if you suffer from dandruff issues and lemon juice instead of glycerine.

    My apologizes if this question has been asked already. I'm late to the party, but if you clay wash can you do a henna gloss treatment and tea rinse the same day? Or should you pick one ayurvedic treatment each week. ie week 1 - clay wash; week 2 - traditional wash with henna gloss; week 3 - traditional wash with full mask, week 4- traditional wash and conditioner with tea rinse *traditional - your staple products

    I'm really glad I found your channel! :) Recently I decided to really focus on my hair health and made a goal for myself. All throughout the "perm phase" my hair was stuck at shoulder length. Now that I'm natural, its gone a few inches past that, but still seems stuck and I really feel that isn't all my hairs potential. My hair hates store bought products, literally anything I tried was just meh. I notice it thrives on natural things, so this is just awesome to stumble upon in my recommendations :) ~♡

    OMGoodness, this is right on time. I just got the email that said all of my ayurvedic powders had been delivered so I can officially start building my regimen starting this weekend! My hair is thin/fine, has very little curl definition, high porosity (it's TIGHT 4C) and was doing a lot of shedding. I've never been able to grow it past barely shoulder length so before I just chop it all off I thought I'd give this a good try. Last wash day I did a green tea rinse and switched up my shampoo n conditioner line and my hair barely shed at all since then. Of course some came out while detangling but that was it! So now I'm really excited to try some of your suggestions and see what I can accomplish. Thank you for doing these videos, because I am a bit overwhelmed with info and don't know where to start. I love clay washes.

    Hello Curly, I’m so glad I stumbled across your videos... you give good information. I have yet to try these natural products. I’m making a list as I watch your videos. I was wondering if you use these recipes on your eyebrows. They are very thick and beautiful.
    I love your accent, it’s easy to watch your videos because you have content. Your music is soothing and not all this bee-bop, hip hop or loud rock music. I can hear you clearly and you’re a beautiful lady too. Thanks for sharing.🤗☺️

    Your hair is STUNNING (and so is the rest of you!). So funny how we often want the opposite/different hair type than the one we're given. I've been on a recent aryuvedic powders kick and stumbled upon your vid. Don't have curly hair (but wish, and yes, of course my curly haired friends say they want my hair, we're never happy lol), but the recipes are good for all, I fkn love these powders and clays. Now need to get me some aloe vera juice! (i have the plant but it's already looking all injured and cut up thx to my many cooking burns and diy hair/face mask experiments lol).

    Bruuuuuh you were NOT kidding. Even if I don't retain a MILLIMETER of length, the clay wash and amla brahmi gloss felt like HEAVEN. Journey > destination. Just one question, and I know you may not get to this as it's on an older video, but can I preserve the clay wash I use, or should I freeze the excess? Will it lose its integrity? I made a mix of rhassoul, kaolin with rose powder, and bentonite clays, plus aloe vera juice infused with honey and coconut vinegar, and some rosemary essential oil and a bit of shikakai. HEA. VEN. You guys have NOT been lying! Please let me know, if you see this, whether it will survive in the fridge or freezer. And THANK YOUUUUU and a handful of other ladies committed to promoting these magical ingredients and sharing your recipes!!! Lord bless you!!!

      i just want to know do you shampoo after your clay mask and how long can you leave it in your hair ?

    • @coriebarnes8680
      @coriebarnes8680 3 года назад

      Leave the clay mask on your hair for 1-2 hours. Keep a plastic cap on to keep it moist. You don't want the clay to dry on your hair or it will be hard to get out.You must wash it completely out. You should use a good conditioner with slip after to make sure all of the clay is out.

    You are AMAZING! I'm actually about to do my big chop 2nd week of august with only about 2 inches of new growth. I'm scared but with you by my side I know my hair will thrive! Could you PLEASEEE show us how you took the msm & vitamin c orally!? Is it just measuring 1//2 a tsp once a day once you build up to that much orrr??

    • @JayeJaye714
      @JayeJaye714 7 лет назад +1

      Rqquel Clark, I take the MSM powder (there is a little scooper inside my product container) and I put one scoop in about 4 ounces of Orange Juice and stir really good and drink down immediately. I normally drink two 16.9 ounce bottles of water after taking the mixture and drink about four or five more bottles throughout the day. It has been about two weeks since I have been doing this and I normally do it twice a day, once in the morning and once before dinner or right after. Be careful about how much water you drink later because you will go to the restroom a lot. Also, this mixture will have you farting a lot, so you might need to get something to help with the gas.
